Waterbrook Bible Fellowship

Waterbrook Family, would you please pray for Jerry Word today? She has had Harry's dog as a companion since he went on to heaven. We are having to put the dog down today. Bob wisely had this to be her decision but it is still a very hard one and even harder with the distancing as she will have to say good bye to the dog at the assisted living place, it will be handed off to be taken to the vet (a wonderful person who will love on Pepper and cry himself for a while) and then they will take her inside to be put down. It's a dog; we get that, but Pepper has been the companion that Jerry has needed during these years, and especially now that they have to stay in their apartments all day. Thank you, Friends.
Jeff Denton, will there be another Signup Genius for the indoor playground this week?
I just wanted to share something cool. My younger two kids and I watched the service together this morning. After the service we did their Sunday school lesson. Their lesson was on the 12 disciples and how we can follow Jesus. We were able to talk about praying, loving and giving as ways we can follow Jesus. It’s so cool how two different things came together like that.

Indoor Playground Available for Preschool Families

Waterbrook is making our Indoor Preschool Playground available this week for families with preschool children who need some safe, clean playtime. One family at a time on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. 30 minutes of play. Playground completely sanitized and decontaminated between each family. Must sign up for a playtime via this website. This opportunity is open to families of Waterbrook, Wee School Preschool, and the community. Guidelines, how it works, and the online sign up are accessible via the link below.

Plus, with local restaurants closed and play places inaccessible there was no safe place for children to play off some of their energy. S...

A Message from Pastor Yun

Hey Kids, here’s a message from Pastor Yun about Drive Thru Church this Sunday!

Rehearsal for worship this weekend. Join us Sunday at 10am for another great service!

Waterbrook Indoor Playground Reservations

Dear Waterbrook & Wee School Families,

We have heard it is a challenge for some families trying to keep children entertained at home with the extended time out of school and closure of play places like at local restaurants. The rain hasn’t helped with your little ones who are itching to run and play. We’d like to offer some help.

We are making the indoor playground available for families of preschool children. We have some very tight guidelines on the use of our facility.

• We are only allowing ONE FAMILY AT A TIME to use the playground. This is to help keep families healthy and uncompromised by complying with social distancing recommendations and facility use suggestions from local officials. Therefore, this opportunity may not be used as a playdate.

• It is specific to PRESCHOOL-age families. You must have a preschool-age child to sign up for the playground. Older siblings may come. We are leaving the responsibility to the parent to supervise play to make sure older children do no abuse the playground equipment.

• Sign up is for 40 MINUTES OF PLAY per family. You must vacate immediately at the 40 minute mark to allow 20 minutes for a complete sanitizing of equipment between families. You must leave the building at this time to protect from crossover between families.

• Children (and adults) must have NO FEVER OR COUGH to use the indoor playground. Temperatures of each person will be taken by a staff member upon arrival at the 100 Building.

• You must sign a RELEASE OF RESPONSIBILITY to Waterbrook/Wee School regarding playground injuries and illness. This release will be provided upon arrival.

The playground will be open for scheduled sessions between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM on Thursday and Friday, March 19-20, 2020. You must sign up at this link to reserve a spot: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0849a9ac22a7fb6-waterbrook1
All time slots are available on a first come, first scheduled basis.

The playground will be thoroughly cleaned between each family to keep everyone as safe as we possibly can.

We hope this helps our young families cope at a difficult time. After these two days, we will evaluate your feedback and consider whether to continue offering this opportunity in the weeks ahead during the rainy time of year.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

In Support of Families,

Jeff Denton, Lead Pastor
Waterbrook Bible Fellowship

signupgenius.com Waterbrook Bible Fellwoship and Wee School at Waterbrook are opening the doors to their indoor playground FOR ONE FAMILY AT A TIME to come inside and burn some energy.  Please review the available slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!

Waterbrook Services will be Live Streamed this weekend at 10:00 AM as the campus will be closed for all activities this weekend.
Following the lead from the national "State of Emergency" by the President and the state disaster declaration by our Texas Governor, our services will not be open as public gatherings. We hope this temporary inconvenience will help diminish the long-term spread of the Coronavirus among those who are vulnerable and at-risk.
We will offer a DRIVE THRU Church for those who wish to come pick up a sealed bag of Donut Holes, bring some food items for delivery to the Christian Care Center, or to give an offering in person (1 usher will be present). All this can be done in the parking lot without getting out of your car this Sunday BEFORE (9:00-10:00 AM) or after the Online Service Live Stream!

Families - Wee School at Waterbrook will not have classes next week in accordance with Wylie ISD extension of Spring Break an extra week in response to the most recent information regarding the spread of Covid-19. Teresa Noska Nash

Dear Wylie ISD Family,
Keeping our students, staff and visitors safe is a priority for Wylie ISD and the past few days we have seen things change minute by minute. Please know that students are always at the heart of our decisions and we are managing this situation with them and our entire community in mind. We have been in constant contact with local, state and federal health authorities. We are also in contact with neighboring school districts.

Based on recommendations from all health experts we are keeping school closed next week, Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 20. During this extended spring break, district offices will be closed and all district events and competitions that have been scheduled during this timeframe will be considered cancelled until further notice. We know this might cause an inconvenience and none of us made this decision lightly. But it is the right thing to do. As families return from spring break, we will continue to monitor and evaluate the situation prior to reopening school on Monday, March 23. We will communicate updated information as it becomes available.

At this time we do not know what the state will do regarding make-up days. School districts across the state are in this together, and we will do everything we can to finish the year on time.

We are taking these steps out of an abundance of caution. Public health officials have not yet made this a requirement for public institutions. And there are no COVID-19 cases reported in Wylie ISD. Nevertheless, given all that we know, and what we can anticipate based on information from local, state and national agencies, including Collin County Health Services, Texas Health and Human Services, Texas Education Agency and the Centers for Disease Control, we believe this is the most prudent course of action at this time.

Please care for yourself, your family and those around you, and continue to adhere to the preventative measures as recommended by public health officials, such as limiting interaction and practicing social distancing. Visit the CDC website for more information.

Wylie ISD has created a dedicated COVID-19 web page at to provide the most current and accurate district information: https://www.wylieisd.net/COVID19

This is unprecedented territory in my lifetime and I am grateful for your support as we get through this together…the Wylie Way. Thank you for your understanding and we will keep you updated.

David Vinson, Ph.D.

Christians should be living differently than those who aren't believers. Noticeably different. Radically different from what the world expects. Waterbrook continues with our series applying 1 Peter, STRANGE LIVING. Here are links to the first two of these application sermons.

Waterbrook Bible Fellowship Worship Live Stream for March 8, 2020

Don't forget to set clocks back this Saturday night to avoid being late for church Sunday morning. It's DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME!

We caught Pastor Jeff Denton sneaking outside to play bubbles with one of the Wee School at Waterbrook Preschool classes today. This is what happens on a beautiful Texas day. Don’t worry. We made him come in for some goldfish crackers and a rest time when he started to get cranky.
(Thanks to Office Manager Tracey Hansen for catching evidence of him playing outside!)
We’re told the kids taught Pastor about evaporation and the water cycle while he was with them.

Waterbrook Bible Fellowship Worship live stream for March 1, 2020

Two ways Waterbrook Bible Fellowship is training young believers (many who will enter full-time ministry). First, by sending Joshua Bramer and Haleigh Garnett Bramer as missionaries who live in Hungary, build relationships with students, and as Josh serves as a resident Bible teacher with Word of Life Bible Institute Hungary. Second, sending Pastor Stephen J. Bramer for a week or two a year to serve as a guest teacher. The WBF family support of missions is impacting the next generation and ripples out to the world as students come from many different home countries for this training. Your support of missions makes a difference! *Contact the church office if you’d like information on how to support this teaching ministry more directly. There is always a need for more supporters.

What a privilege to have both father and son teaching at our Bible Institute! Joshua Bramer is one of our local teachers teaching New Testament Survey at the moment. His father, Stephen J. Bramer is one of our guest teachers this week, teaching 1 Timothy.

Dear Waterbrook Family,

Bible Study Leader and Wonderful Servant for Christ, Margie King went home to be with the Lord earlier today.

Dale and Margie King have been faithful members of Waterbrook Bible Fellowship and are dearly loved.

A Memorial Service will be held this Wednesday, February 26, at Waterbrook Bible Fellowship. The service will be held at 3:00 pm. A visitation to speak with family will be held at the church from 2:00-3:00 pm.

A light dinner will be held for the family after the service at the church.

WBF Members are needed to help provide items for that dinner and to serve as greeters for the service. Please email [email protected] if you are willing to help with any of those items and we'll get back to you on Monday.

Please pray for Dale at the loss of his dear wife. They celebrated their 64th Anniversary from Margie's hospital room this past Wednesday. Also, for their children, Joy (Rick), Cindy (Bill), Monte, and Julie (Brian), as well as 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
