We are excited to share the impact of another Grants for Good project! Natasha Combs and Natalie Dourte, on behalf of the Women’s Ministry, used their grant to throw a Baby Shower for a mom-to-be from Choices Women’s Clinic. Choices is a non-profit pregnancy clinic equipping women to make healthy, life affirming choices regarding unplanned pregnancies. The grant provided the new momma with all of the necessities and helped to celebrate the arrival of her little girl! Please join us in praying for the mom and for the ministry of @choicesfriends. Thank you Natalie and Natasha for your hard work and for loving our community well!

We're excited to be collecting school supplies for the Winter Park Housing Authority's annual Back to School Bash now through July 29th. This event will put school supplies in the hands of over 200 children in our community. Visit http://cpwp.life/schoolsupplydrive for a list of needed items and a link to their Amazon Wish List. Donations can be sent directly through the Wish List or can be dropped off at The Branch.
Latest Update re: Gathering In-Person - https://mailchi.mp/b2254b0ba35b/the-latest-news-from-crosspointe-winter-park-4301794
As many of you heard, this past Sunday, July 5, we made the difficult decision to postpone our plans for gathering in-person for Sunday worship services.
Originally we were scheduled to begin offering in-person services on July 19. But in light of the recent surge of cases in Florida overall, and Central Florida specifically, the elders and staff deemed it best to delay our plans.
We are certainly disappointed about this reality, but your safety and the safety of our community has been and will continue to be a top priority. We are grateful for your understanding and would encourage you to continue to engage via our CPWP at Home Livestream in the weeks ahead.
At this point, we have not set a new return date, but we are holding out hope that we will be able to begin gathering in August. We will be monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will continue to make decisions that prioritize safety to the best of our ability.
Please know that we long to see you all in-person. What a glorious day it will be when we can raise our voices together, in the same place, in worship of our King. And what a glimpse that will be of the ultimate day that is coming, when Jesus splits the sky and returns to dwell with us. Then our mourning will forever be turned into dancing. Until that day, let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
On behalf of the elders and staff,
Our hearts are tuned to guilt and fear of God’s wrath. But it’s time we tune our hearts to God’s goodness.

How's your level of joy currently? Are you dismayed or dancing? Psalm 30 is a gift to us all that speaks directly to the realities of life and calls us back to where and how joy can be found. Join us Sunday at 10:00 am as we explore how we can move together from mourning to dancing. - https://mailchi.mp/852052f9af2f/the-latest-news-from-crosspointe-winter-park-4299922
We are excited to share another project from Grants for Good! Annette Thedy and her Community Group used the grant to fill 100 bags with school supplies, fun gifts, and a children’s book on the Gospel. The bags were then donated to Aloma Elementary to be gifted to children picking up free meals this summer. It has been so cool to see how these simple projects have brought a smile to the faces of people all around our community. Our prayer is that God would take these small acts to spread the Good News of the Gospel far and wide. Join us in praying for our community. That God would bring revival to our neighborhoods and that people would find hope in Christ alone.

This week, in highlighting another Grants for Good project, we wanted to share the way our Middle school students from CP Youth Group are seeking to bless the staff at a local hospital. They learned from Doug Haus, local ER Doctor and CPWP Partner, about how the virus has impacted the staff in his hospital. Then they packed bags with Starbucks Gift Cards, chapstick, CP Tumblers, head massagers, notes of encouragement, and other goodies that Doug then delivered to his ER Department staff. We know this was a great time of serving for the students and we pray that it blesses the hospital staff as well! Thanks Doug and @cpwpyouthgroup for your work with Grants for Good!
Families right here in Winter Park are in need. We are working with the Winter Park Housing Authority to collect food for those who need it. Drop off donations Monday through Thursday between 8 and 4 at The Branch.
The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

On January 1, 1863 all people held as slaves in the United States were declared free by the Emancipation Proclamation, but communication to the states was slow. Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19th of every year in honor of the day in 1865 that federal orders reached Texas--the last state to receive the news, proclaiming that all people held as slaves were free. It is also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, and Emancipation Day.
Today we celebrate the liberation of fellow image bearers and also confess and acknowledge how far we have to go in truly loving our neighbors. Have mercy on us, Lord and help us to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with our God.
God, heal our land.

For the next few weeks we will be highlighting some of the projects from Grants for Good. We are excited about how these grants are being used to bless people in our community! First up is The Lalonde Community Group.
The Lalonde’s group applied for a grant to make bags to donate to Christian Help, an organization that ministers to people experiencing homelessness in the Casselberry/Maitland area. They filled 50 bags with essentials like socks, water bottles, bandaids, and Bibles. We pray that these bags bless people in the community and bring needed encouragement and hope. Thank you to the Lalonde’s group for your hard work and dedication to sharing the good news of the Gospel. ❤️
Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly with your God.
