The Prison Ministry coordinator of southern New England Conference — Charles Washington — will be speaking and hosting a seminar/ workshop at the Connecticut Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath March 12, 2016 at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm respectively.

Pastor and Prison Ministry coordinators of your church and all interested persons are invited to this Prison Ministry day. Come and share your idea as to how we can minister to our brothers and sisters who are incarcerated. At that time we are hoping to establish a Prison Ministries Chapter to serve the greater Hartford area and the other surrounding towns. Lunch will be provided. Monthly DEAF Bible Study - Saturday, February 20th at 11:00am

We meet at a local church where worship services are interpreted, we have potluck lunch, have a Deaf Bible study the Bible in ASL (this will be voice interpreted if hearing people want to join us) and enjoy DEAF fellowship. PLEASE BRING FOOD TO SHARE FOR LUNCH.

Keynote speaker for Women's Ministry one day retreat

Carol Barron, born in Newark, New Jersey, recently transitioned, (not retired) after 20.5 years of active service with the North American Division as an administrative secretary, is now enjoying this new phase of her life and now calls Florida – home. Yes!
Carol is the mother of three amazing adults, Clarence IV, Donna-Maria, and Torrence Edward; and one fantastic son-in-Christ (that’s right, not son-in-law), Jemuel Anderson, husband of Donna-Maria, and a pianist extraordinaire.

Carol is a Certified Lay Pastor of Evangelism and Pastoral Ministry. She graduated from NADEI – Andrews University Seminary, where she completed the four year curriculum.

She travels extensively throughout the United States and abroad conducting Weeks of Prayer, Prayer Conferences, and Women’s Retreats, and other functions as guest speaker where she preaches the pure Word of God.

Carol says, “Life is an interesting and exciting journey, and I can’t wait to see my Saviour face-to-face.”

Charles Washington is the coordinator of SNEC Prison Ministries. He works as a chaplain in the Massachusetts prison system. He sees the prisons as a mission field. If you would like him to talk to your church about developing a prison ministries program contact him at [email protected]
