GREAT NEWS for AUC! Around $400,000 Is Being Refunded to AUC! The Massachusetts Appellate Tax Board ruled in AUC's favor regarding AUC's challenge to Lancaster's errant property tax billing from 2014, 2015 and 2016. This decision was made by the MATB on 19 Sept 2017. There were 12 separate properties which AUC had challenged the Town of Lancaster regarding their errant tax billing. The total amount of money Lancaster must now refund to AUC is just under $400,000 (plus interest?). AND it's confirmed that AUC's tax exempt status applies to the properties in question so they will not be further taxed going forward... representing significant cost savings for AUC. Praise the Lord! :-) Note: I'm sharing here a digital image of the document for just one of the subject properties (showing for the one with the highest amount being refunded)... the other eleven documents look similar, but have differing amounts for their refunds.

Message From Your Village Health Ministry Team:
As of January 27th, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that there have been 5 identified cases of the coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in the US. At this time, the CDC recommends avoiding all nonessential travel to China.
About the Virus: 2019-nCoV is a beta coronavirus but not the same coronavirus that caused severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) in 2003 or Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) in 2012-15, although it is related. A novel coronavirus (CoV) is a new coronavirus that has not been previously identified (sort of…)
The virus is thought to be of animal origin, and the outbreak centered around a live animal-fish market in Wuhan, suggesting animal to human transmission. However, a growing number of patients have not reported exposure to animal markets, indicating person-to-person transmission is occurring. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control believes at this time that symptoms of 2019-nCoV may appear in as few as two days or as long as 14 after exposure.
The best way to avoid exposure to any virus is through everyday preventive actions which include:
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay home when you are sick.
• Consider using our youtube channel for service during Sabbath
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces.

Patients with confirmed 2019-nCoV infection report having mild to severe respiratory illness with symptoms of:
• Fever
• Cough
• Shortness of breath.
• Additional information can be found on the CDC website at

Needs are everywhere...About 795 million people worldwide face hunger, according to the World Food Programme one in nine people on earth. And hunger knows no borders, with serious challenges in high and low income nations alike. In India, one in six people go hungry; in the United States; it’s about one in eight, including one in six children.

There’s enough food but much of it goes unused...

Hunger is often not a food problem; it’s a logistics problem. Approximately 15-30% of food in emerging economies is wasted. Each year billions of pounds of food go to waste, while 1 in 4 people are malnourished. Food banking or food Food pantries systems capture surplus food and deliver it to the people who need it most, engaging all sectors of society (governments, business, and civil) in the process. Food pantries acquire donated food, much of which would otherwise be wasted, from farms, manufacturers, distributors, retail stores, consumers, and other sources, making it available to those in need through an established network of community agencies. Food pantries also with efficient supply chain management capabilities and a strong network of partners can supplement government programs to efficiently deliver food to the most needy and unreached.

This commitment will surely bring about not only sporadic giving, but long term giving and involvement in innovative solutions to different social problems like the food insecurity or malnutrition .Also the Food pantries have a presence in the community that provides much more than food. With our volunteers and our partner organizations, we try to bring hope to all those people who are desperate facing the social injustice or lower incomes also those who are in need of hope and compassion.
Through this Ministry our food pantry provides different programs like: Hot meals, kids program, Nurse assistant, health classes, prayers section and a good relationship with them.
Through this programs they can feel our respect for their situation and also they can see the the image of the God’s compassion caring about them.

The Bread of Life Ministry currently are serving around 200 families weekly with: fruits, vegetables, meats, breads, dairies and more.
Around 3.000 pounds of food are donated from our partner organizations for our pantry and community, also we shared with another 2 Churches around the area that is a extension of this program. Every other week we are donating for the veterans shelters and for homeless programs.

Through this Ministry more than 40 people have been approached asking for more Knowledge about Jesus love, Bible studies and baptized. All honors are to our God!!🙏🏼

Come out and join us for some fall fun at George Hill Orchards on October 21, 2018!!

Do you know what is Food Insecurity?
...In 2016, an estimated 1 in 8 Americans were food insecure, equating to 42 million Americans including 13 million children. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) defines food insecurity as a lack of consistent access to enough food for an active, healthy life.

It is important to know that hunger and food insecurity are closely related, but distinct, concepts. Hunger refers to a personal, physical sensation of discomfort, while food insecurity refers to a lack of available financial resources for food at the level of the household.
Poverty and food insecurity in the United States are closely related. Not all people living below the poverty line experience food insecurity, and people living above the poverty line can experience food insecurity. Wages and other critical household expenses (such as caring for an ill child) can also help predict food insecurity among people living in the United States.(feeding America informations)

The Bread of Life Ministry team are working very hard every single day to put these statistics dawn...our team are compromised to serve our community with a free baskets of food for each family with a portion of : fruits vegetables, meats ,dairies and breads
every week. Doing this constantly we are fighting against the malnutrition also providing the welfare of hundreds families that are suffering with the food insecurity in our community.
Thanks God for this privilege also thanks to all volunteers for their support and compassion to serve others!!

Together we can make the difference!!❤️

We are opening to our community every Thursdays from 4:30 to 7:00 Pm .

'Eat Whole Foods, Mostly Plant-Based': What Does This Actually Mean?

Strongly suggested article a 'Must Read' This simple, yet effective mantra is derived from Michael Pollan’s best-selling book In Defence of Food1 (the original quote being ‘Eat food, not too much, mostly plants’). If you haven’t read that book, then the ‘Eat food’ part of the statement is a little confusing. Isn’t everything ...

General information

The Village Church is one of the oldest churches in the Seventh-day Adventist denomination. The church was established in 1864 toward the end of the American Civil War, just a year after the denomination was organized. The structure has been modified several times, but portions of the original church building still remain. The pulpit is one which well-known early church leaders, including Ellen G White, spoke from numerous times. When visiting the Village Church take some time to visit our Historical Room for further information. Please call the church office at 978.365.2754 or contact us by email.
