Wilson's Call

We want to share how God is using us for his kingdom as we begin our journey to Haiti, short or long term.

How to win the interview and land the job.

You leveraged your relationships and perfected your new resume that was hand delivered to the desired company by a current employee, and now you find yourself in the pasta aisle in the grocery store when your phone rings and the caller ID only displays a phone number. You answer the call, and it starts like this “Hello, my name is __________ from… [ 1,348 more word ]

How to accomplish your goals.

A dream is just a wish until you set goals to achieve it. One of the best parts about a new year is the idea that you are staring fresh and that this could be “your year.” It could be your year to start a new business. It could be your year to find your soul mate. It could be your year to break that record. [ 745 more words ]

Digging Ditches

God sends the water but sometimes he wants us to dig the ditches. There is a story in 2 kings where three kings join their armies to go to war with another nation. three against one, easy win right? The battle might have been easy if they made it there. These kings find themselves lost and out of the most important resource for humans, WATER! [ 1,548 more word ]

Hello my name is unique.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:14) Did you know that there are over 350,000 different species of beetles in the world? In size, these beetles range anywhere from 0.01 inches to 4 inches. The beautiful thing about this is that we can see characteristics of our God through his creation. [ 201 more words ]

“Be fearless in the pursuit of what sets your soul on fire.” – Jennifer Lee

At the end of my life I want people to see Jesus in me. I want to be known for relentlessly pursuing those far from Christ. I want to be known for my love for God and People, not my opinion.
At the end of my life I don’t want to regret the trips I should have went on, the people I should have loved better or the risk I should have taken. I want to reminisce with the ones closest to me about the adventures I took, the countries I visited and the people who God used me to be Jesus to.

A Sinner Like Me.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) We see around fifteen teams come to RTS Missions per year, and though the trips look a little bit different from each other, this end result is always the same: an increased awareness of how blessed they are. All of the teams that come here are from the United States of America, and a large majority of them have never wondered where their next meal was coming from, nor have they had to take a bucket shower. A Call To All

“Missions is not a physical structure we build; it’s a biblical foundation we cultivate.” “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” (Matthew 28:19). We are all unique. Crafted by God to do something that only we can do. Gifted in different ways to lift the name of Jesus. We all have different burdens so that followers of Christ are fighting for all who are oppressed. Join our Reach Church small group, LiveSent, where we serve others together, grow together, and live on mission together.

Today the VBS craft that First Redeemer had the kids do was making mask that resembled animals. They had 🦁 🐯 and 🐻 OH MY. These kids specialized each mask to their liking, no two mask looked the same, by coloring them with their crayons.
A young boy, not really sure what it was, put the mask of a smiling lion to his face and looked at me. His facial expression was masked. Shortly after placing the mask over his face, he pulled it down. Much to my surprise he had a blank stare on his face. Because the lion was smiling I assumed he was.

God spoke to my heart and said this is how my church acts and it’s not OK. We act like Sunday service is Halloween. We put on a fake smile (Mask) and when people ask “how are you doing?” We answer “I’m good.” When really our marriage is barely holding on, we are struggling with drugs or alcohol again or depression...you fill in the blank. Church is not a museum for the perfect, it’s a hospital for the broken. It’s time to put down the mask and seek help. We were not created to do life on our own. It’s ok to “not be ok.” We truly are better together.

You are where you are on purpose because you have a purpose.

We can no longer see our jobs as ordinary. We must see them as an extraordinary opportunity to share the love of Christ.

Meet our dear friend and Silver Saint brother Antwon. Ever since I met Antwon, at least a year and a half ago, he was not able to walk. Every morning before work, his kids sit him in a chair or lay him on a mat on the front porch until they return from work. When they get home they put him back in bed and the cycle continues.
Today we started something that God has put on our heart for a while now and that is to get Antwon up and walking during our visits. When you ask him what to pray for he says “That God would give me the strength to walk so that I can share the Gospel again.”
We believe with all of our hearts that with God all things are possible. Today he made 3 laps around his sons house with our help but soon we pray that he will walk on his own. Would you pray with us?

Your calling is too great and the world is too dark for you to not tell people about Jesus.

God created you to do something that only you can do. Stop trying to blend in when you were made to stand out.

No one ever made a difference by being like everyone else... Be different but above all BE YOU!

Reason #428 of why I love this guy. The little girl he's holding is our friend Mickerlange. As you can see, she was born with a deformity in both legs. Every time we go to this school, all the girls play games and jump rope while Mickerlange sits to the side and watches everyone else laugh and play together. Well Michael wasn't having that. He decided to make a way for her to fit in. The smile on her face was adorable as they jumped rope together. I am so thankful for Michael and his heart for serving others and making each person feel important.

eepurl.com In our first year as full time missionaries to Haiti we have felt a rollercoaster of emotions. We have seen God move in ways that we could never imagine and we have cried out to God for help. This year has been the hardest year of our lives but we would not trade it for anything.

It was an honor to speak at my home church Word of Life.

"Sometimes you have to say no to some things so that you can say yes to the best things."

"We don't really make friends, they make us." - Bob Goff

We have become who we are today because of the people we allow into our lives. God is continually using the people of Haiti to shape me. I am so thankful for his call on my life.

[10/04/17]   Imagine what the world would look like if people would stop posting about what's wrong with the world and started to work on a solution. We need less complaining and more restoring.

What are you passionate about? Is it..
- The way veterans are treated?
• volunteer at your local VA
- The low salary for teachers in public schools?
• Create an organization that helps fund your local schools and teachers.
- Helping get rid of "Bad Cops"?
• Become a police officer and lead by example.

God gave you these passions because that just might be what he wants you to change for his glory.

You might think that I am harsh but if all you do is post about problems, your opinion doesn't matter. Complaining fixes nothing but action changes the world.

Stop adding to the noise and change the world.

"If we want to see the world changed for Jesus Christ, we must transform it from "Politically Correct" to "Biblically Correct"." - Michael Wilson

Join me for Mission Monday on October 2 at 7pm CDT.

Do not fear what people think but trust in the Lord.

You will never be able to make everyone happy; With every decision you make, someone will disagree.

Live your life for an audience of 1 (God). If you try to make everyone happy you will fail, you will get tired, burnt out & bitter. "For the Joy of the Lord (not people) is my strength."

"You can't please everyone but you can please God."

*I WANT TO MAKE SOMETHING VERY CLEAR*

If you are apart of our mission team financially, wether you give $1 or $1000, you are not a "Donor" you are a partner, you are a missionary and you are changing lives. Because of your sacrificial giving, elderly are being cared for, kids are being educated, people are hearing the gospel, giving their lives to Christ and HOPE is being restored.
Believe me when I say this "Your role in what is going on here in Haiti is just as important as mine and Baylee's."

Here is how I would define our relationship and I pray that you do as well...
“two separate but equal parties, with separate but equal responsibility, working together to achieve the common goal of reaching people for Jesus Christ.”

"For we are co-workers in God’s service..." - 1 Corinthians 3:9

Thank you for your being apart of what is going on in Haiti. We truly believe "The best is yet to come."

-The Wilson's

Look at your life. Are you obedient to Gods call when it's not cool? Are you scared to share Jesus because people might not like you anymore?

Being obsessed with what PEOPLE think about you is the quickest way to forget what GOD thinks about you.

Being obsessed with what GOD thinks about you is the quickest way to forget what PEOPLE think about you.

"You can't please everyone but you can please God..." - Craig Groeschel

"Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond."

You can worry all of the time or you can be still and know that God is God and you are not.

Wilson's Call's cover photo

It's not wrong to feel fear. It's wrong to let fear hold you back from what God has called you to do.

The people who accomplish the most for Gods glory are not the ones who feel the least amount of fear. It's the people who push through fear by faith believing that God will keep his promise.

What has God called you to do? Stop worrying about what could go wrong and be excited about what could go right! He who called you is faithful.
