Good morning, KHBC family and friends.Due to technical difficulties we have not been able to upload the service. Please watch this short devotional and important announcement. Have a blessed day!
[04/23/20] We will be handing out food today at noon. If someone's in need, let them know.
A great and mighty passage, rich with imagery about the assurance that God provides to us as His elect. Today I am made fully aware of this opportunity of knowing God as my refuge, as my fortress. I am with my wife helping her pack up her kindergarten classroom because physically meeting for school has been postponed. It is silent and empty where there should be life and excitement. But through it all there remains the truth that God is still present, that He is still on His throne doing all that He pleases. And all that I need to do is to be still and know that He is God.
Be safe, and may God keep you until we are able to see teach other face to face again.
It's a new week and we have an opportunity put our love into action. Let's be looking for opportunities to love and serve others just like our Savior selflessly served us!
Have a great week everyone! #KHBC #inthistogether #loveoneanother

Psalm 122:1 - I was glad when they said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD!"
When I got on facebook this morning I saw a memory shared from last years palm Sunday service. There was Dakota jumping, moving (I am Baptist so I can't say dancing), and waving a palm branch. I can't get that image out of my mind as I sit and study the scriptures today. The joy of celebrating in the gathering of God's people has been missing. But, I am also reminded of what Paul writes to the Phillipians in chapter 4 - Rejoice in the Lord always, and I will say, rejoice.
It is not a matter of where we are to rejoice, but the matter is in whom. Rejoice in the the Lord. He has you, He knows you, He loves you, He will see you through.
Take some time today to jump, move, wave your arms around and rejoice in the LORD and His salvation.
The Road to Emmaus - Luke 21:13-35
verses 30-31 - When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him.
Just like Mary at the tomb, these two only recognized Jesus when He intimately spoke to them in. So much can be missed in our daily lives because we do not spend any intimate time with the savior. My prayer for our each member of our church this week is for us all to spend some time reading and meditating on the Word of God and then spend some time in intimate prayer with the Father.
Be safe and may our Father keep us all until we can gather together once again.
[04/13/20] Good morning KHBC Facebook Followers. We are taking a poll. Will you help us? As we prepare for next Sunday's service, we'd like to know which you found more engaging for our online worship: The 'up close' version or 'wide angle' that lets Pastor Mark move around the pulpit. ☺️ Please leave your comment below.
