Here's an interesting weekend read for you from @wired about psychology and religion.

"When it comes to finding ways to help people deal with life's challenges, it would be strange if thousands of years of religious thought didn’t have something to offer."

Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

We can't wait to see you all as we gather safely outside the Church to celebrate and break bread together after the Sunday 10:00 am Mass on September 26th, with a modified version of our Parish Picnic.

We ask that attendees pre-register so that we know how many people to expect and can provide food accordingly. And we still need volunteers! The cost is $10 for individuals and $25 for a family.

Catechists are needed for our Pilgrims (Grades 1-6) and Confirmation (Grades 7-8) Programs!

What does it take to be a Catechist? Here's what Pope Francis has to say:
"A certainty of faith that coexists with the thousand questions of a pilgrim. A certainty of faith that is not ideology, exaggerated moralism, existential security… but the living and irreplaceable encounter with a person, with an event, with the living presence of Jesus of Nazareth."

The theme of this year’s Archdiocesan Annual Appeal is Psalm 9:19, “For the needy will never be forgotten, nor will the hope of the afflicted ever fade”.

A message from Fr. Greg:
“The Archdiocesan Annual Appeal reminds us that we are part of the Body of Christ, that we belong to others whom we do not see, and they belong to us. St. Paul reminds us of that in his first letter to the Corinthians: ‘By one Spirit we are all baptized into one Body’ (1 Cor.12:13). Through the AAA, we are able to express our solidarity with those sisters and brothers whose needs are often greater than our own.”
