Star of the Sea remains open for prayer from 6am to 6pm!

We have roped off pews so that no one sits closer than 8 feet, and we wipe down all surfaces of open pews every day with disinfectant. Masses continue as usual, but only with priest, server, and camera operator, all live streamed from our chapel. Confessions are available fifteen minutes before all these Masses, as well as 7-8pm Tuesdays, and 3:15-4:15pm Saturdays. The priest will be by the altar of St. Joseph, to maintain a safe distance.

Church of the Epiphany

Church of the Epiphany Shelter In Place Initiatives:

Under the express directive of Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone, all public Masses have been suspended until futher notice. Be assured that the priests will still offer Mass privately for the fulfillment of the faithful's intentions.

The Archbishop has allowed parishes to keep the churches open, so Fr. Eugene has allowed for the church to be open for half of the day to allow the faithful to pray and spend time with the Blessed Sacrament during this difficult time.

Church Hours :
6:30am to 12:00pm (noon)

Parish Office Hours:
8:30am to 12:00pm (noon)

[03/21/20]   Late notice, message from Fr. Michael Rocha, for today, Saturday, 03/21/2020.

"Fr. Rocha will sit outside the front steps of Church of the Epiphany from 3:30p-5p if anyone would like to go to Confession".

March 7, 2020 - Saturday

Catholic Charities of Eastern Virginia

Do you want to fast this Lent?

Fast from hurting words and say kind words.
Fast from sadness and be filled with gratitude.
Fast from anger and be filled with patience.
Fast from pessimism and be filled with hope.
Fast from worries and trust in God.
Fast from complaints and contemplate simplicity.
Fast from pressures and be prayerful.
Fast from bitterness and fill your heart with joy.
Fast from selfishness and be compassionate to others.
Fast from grudges and be reconciled.
Fast from words and be silent so you can listen.

Why Is It So Hard to Make Friends?

Friendship, true friendship, requires time, love, and vulnerability.

Do you have the time? Make the time?

Is it love or admiration that you show to others?

Are you transparent or allow yourself to be vulnerable with your friend?

Do you make time for Jesus?

Can you allow yourself to be open and loved by Jesus?

Would you allow yourself to let go, bare yourself, show your true self to Jesus? The dirty, feared side? And allow him into your life?

Video we watched tonight this YAM Session, 04 August 2019.
