if you don't have a Menorah, signup using the form below and Chabad of SF will deliver a Menorah all the way to your door by Thursday afternoon.
Registration will be closed on Wednesday 12/9 at 12pm.
If you miss the registration you can schedule a pickup with Rabbi Shmulik Friedman
My dear San Francisco friends,
I’m about to launch a new Live Speed Dating app called Facet and I need volunteers for the pilot.
So, why should you join? Here is why!
This is actually a true Live Speed Dating event where you can find your soulmate, so don’t miss out!
And, with no charge!
The novelty of Facet is that you cannot choose who to speak with, there are no profiles and no photos
All you need to do is to tell us about yourself, select your preferences and then go on a 3 minutes live speed date with someone currently online who matches your preferences.
Don’t worry, you can end the date at anytime.
Decide if they’re right for you, and then keep going
Once you find a match, easily contact them through the app by video or text.
Facet - Making real connection possible.

If you are interested in participating in the pilot, use this form to register and I will send you an email with all the details:

Chabad-Lubavitch is a vibrant, dynamic force in Jewish life, and its programs touch the lives of millions of people and directly or indirectly affect Jewish life in every community.

Chabad of San Francisco

From musicians to charm vendors, mimes to multi-lingual tourists, San Franciscans are accustomed to seeing almost anything on their streets. Yet the sight of a Chassidic rabbi on a motorcycle, long beard and yarmulke flying in the breeze, rarely fails to turn their heads. Often there’s someone else on the bike with him. Perhaps it’s a local businessman who needs a ride to morning prayers or it may be a Jewish child having the time of his life. The bike, a symbol of Rabbi Yosef Langer’s innovative outreach style, scampers around the Financial District, putting smiles on people’s faces and breaking down their stereotypes of Chassidic Jews.

General information

Chabad-Lubavitch is a major movement within mainstream Jewish tradition with its roots in the Chassidic movement of the 18th century. In Czarist and Communist Russia, the leaders of Chabad led the struggle for the survival of Torah Judaism, often facing imprisonment and relentless persecution for their activities. After the Holocaust, under the direction of Rabbi Yosef Yitzchaak Schneerson and his successor, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, Chabad became a worldwide movement, caring for the spiritual and material needs of all Jews, wherever they could be found. Today, over 3,000 Chabad centers are located in more than 65 countries, with a new center opening on the average every ten days. In South Africa, South America, Russia, Australia, the UK, and many parts of the USA, Chabad has become the most dynamic and dominant force within the Jewish community.
