Thank you for that link and apologies for the delay in replying. Work is taking me away from home quite a lot at the moment and occupying much of my time. Even so, ten days is a long time, so I am sorry for that. There is not a lot that I can really add. I left off tracking the White Nationalist/ Far Right movement in New Zealand around ten years ago so I am no longer in a position to have an informed opinion on how things are at the moment, or even what Bolton has been up to for the past decade. I do not know what his religious/philosophical position is now or what his connections are among NZ or overseas Nationalist groups, if any. I do know that he was associated with the 'Celtic New Zealand' movement, which believes that Celtic/Norse settlement in NZ predated Maori settlement. Bolton never had much influence among Norse paganism in NZ, even back in the 1980s, and his stronghold was among adherents of Esoteric Nazism/Ariosophy. Since I wrote my thesis, Norse paganism has greatly expanded in the NZ pagan scene, and in some places, such as Palmerston North/Manawatu, it has even become the dominant form of Neopaganism. Modern Norse paganism has always struggled with racism in its midst, and in NZ many Norse pagans incorporate aspects of race or "blood" into their ideology. Of course, this does not automatically make them racist or violent, it is quite possible to be proud of your roots without in any way marginalising or being condescending towards other ethnicities. However, there are also far more outspokenly racist and violent individuals who identify as Norse pagans than in other branches of the modern Pagan movement. And, of course, some elements of the far right adopted the trappings of the ancient Norse religion without any meaningful engagement with the spirituality. Most of the 'racially conscious' would-be Vikings take their lead and inspiration from various American volkish groups more than NZ or European leaders/writers/thinkers. I would hazard a guess that the reason for the strong American influence is rooted in the early adoption of the internet by American-based Norse pagandom as well as America’s systemic racism. As an aside, Christchurch, where the Mosque shootings were, historically is a stronghold of White Supremacist views and racial violence in this country, and it is also the place where Bolton first started to try and galvanise an Odinist (consciously racist Norse paganism) group for political purposes before setting up the Order of the Left Hand Path. I have no idea of what Satanism in NZ looks like now. I have no contact or roads into the Satanist scene in here any more. Same with Esoteric Nazism. And for the record, I have never remotely been a Satanist, an Ariosophist/Nazi, or even an Asatruer/Norse pagan. As a personal statement, I have found Satanism to be juvenile, Ariosophy to be abhorrent, and Asatru to be superficial. As for Bolton himself, he has a well-established track record of getting angry at people if they don't repeat exactly what he wants them to say, and he thrives in carrying on vendettas. As we say here, he does not play well with others. I expect that he has been trying to find out whatever he can about you to write a diatribe against you, about how you are too deficient to see the truth even when laid out for you. This is a personality feature which he has had from the earliest days and many issues of his old magazines had articles angrily denouncing people he has a difference of opinion with, often former friends and allies. He is also a whiner, and for all his staunch ubermensch philosophy on race and culture, like many ‘intellectuals’ of the far right, he has cultivated a victim/persecution complex and strives to point out how he personally (or the white race, or Nazis, Holocaust deniers etc) are even more oppressed and persecuted than the traditional victims of oppression (indigenous peoples, Jews, women etc). But, as you would guess from a Holocaust denier and someone who bought a fake doctorate, Bolton has only a shaky grasp on the concept of truth, honesty and integrity. ROEL VAN LEEUWEN
"Left hand path does not refer to politics - it refers to a path in the occult. The group;s ideology was right-wing, but still nonsense" (traduit par nous).

http://www.xeper.org/ The Temple of Set is an organization with one task: to provide an environment in which individuals discover, pursue, and realize their unique purpose and destiny.

Our philosophy holds that excellence and creative purpose are rooted in self-awareness, self-knowledge and self-creation. We name the experience of the willed unfolding of this individual potential Xeper. That we pursue this task, and teach this philosophy, reflects our conviction that the individual psyche is the hidden sanctuary of something godlike—something slandered and suppressed by conventional religions that claim its powers for themselves, dismissed by others as unreal, and feared by those who would flee the personal responsibility implied. What brought you to this web site? Perhaps you are seeking data: a scholar of religion, philosophy or the social sciences, a journalist, or some other researcher with an interest in the history and programs of the Temple of Set. If so, you will find this site a good starting point, with links to further informed sources. Perhaps someone you know, or have met on the Internet, claims to be affiliated with the Temple of Set, and you want to know what that's about. This site will reveal to you some elements of Setian philosophy and practice, including our ethical stance. What you find here may or may not appeal—the Temple does not proselytize or recruit. Rather this site is intended to help you distinguish what the Temple of Set is, and what it is not. Finally, you may be here for Initiation. You had some contact with the Temple—through the written word or other media, perhaps an encounter with a Setian—and sensed that there was something important that the Temple of Set could teach you. Perhaps you have already passed through other occult groups, esoteric schools and religions, failing to find what you sought. Yet you did not abandon the search. Good! Do not be hasty in this decision. Look through this web site, paying special attention to the General Information and Admission Policies, the essays written by Setians, and the list of recommended readings. If, after this review, you elect to apply for admission, use the form provided. We look forward to hearing from you. Xeper. Patty A. Hardy IV° High Priestess of Set

Mission: All schools of introspective inquiry [as opposed to those of faith] address the one difference that distinguishes mankind from the rest of the cosmos: the feature of being, of conscious willful existence. This self-awareness makes possible all of our arts, our sciences, our notions of "good" and "evil" as well as free will and the ability to assign meaning to thoughts, statements, and actions. Religions confront this phenomenon of individual consciousness in various ways. Some—for example, the Buddhist quest for nirvana—endeavor to extinguish it outright. Others, such as the Abrahamic religions, label it "the soul" and posit that somebody else will rescue it. Still others deny it altogether, relegating man to the same status as an animal. Nevertheless there have also been consciousness-worshiping (or –respecting) religions throughout all historical civilizations and cultures. Historically consciousness-worshiping religions have been more intellectually demanding than their nature-worshiping counterparts, since it is more difficult to reason a path through one's span of conscious existence than it is to be swept along by a current of semi-rational stimulus and response. Such schools were admired in certain societies, such as ancient Egypt and Greece, but generally their elitism and "supernatural" activities made them objects of resentment and persecution. The Temple of Set seeks above all to honor and enshrine consciousness. We wish to apprehend what makes us each individually unique and use this gift to make ourselves stronger in all facets of our being. To do this we preserve and improve the tradition of spiritual distinction from the cultural universe, which in the Judeo-Christian West has been called Satanism, but which is more generally known as the Left-Hand Path. The Left-Hand Path is a process for creating an individual, powerful essence that exists above and beyond animal life.
