God bless
The Lord's presence is unmistakable here! His Joy and His Hope everywhere!
Hi all! A friend and I are new to the city and are looking to find one or two other female roommates who share Christian values! We're hoping to be within 30 minutes of FiDi (SoMa, Mission, Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, Nob Hill, etc., or possibly somewhere in Oakland). We're planning to move April 1. If you think you would be a good fit or know someone who might be, please let me know!

Me:

-31yo female scientist working at a biotech startup

-SoCal native relocating from the East Coast

-likes tap dancing, true crime podcasts, and binging Project Runway

-planning on adopting a doggo to take to work with me :)

-7 or 8 out of 10 on the cleanliness scale

Dawn:

-41yo female architect working near FiDi

-recently relocated from Oregon

-likes rock climbing, surfing, yoga, cycling, jewelry making

-sadly, allergic to cats

-8 out of 10 on the cleanliness scale

You:

-female late 20s-early 40s professional

-prioritize having a quiet, peaceful place to unwind after a long day

-LOVE having a clean home. You proactively clean up after yourself and chip in on household tasks (e.g., emptying the trash) without being asked.

-don't drink heavily, smoke, or use drugs (Neither of us drink, but we don't mind if others in the house drink in moderation.)

-ok with limiting overnight guests to occasional friends and family members (i.e., no romantic partners sleeping over)

-consistent track record of meeting financial obligations

-mature and open communicator when issues arise

-friendly, kind, and open to hanging out occasionally, but also happy doing your own thing

-like (or preferably, love!) dogs

“This past year my heart was being torn between my old life and the life God was trying to bring me into. I continued to struggle, but I kept pursuing God and He kept pulling me closer. I made the decision to get baptized because I can't spend another year living a life that’s anything less than what God has planned for me.”

“The Lord has given me a new life full of joy and hope and I know He will continue to strengthen me. He is leading me and His good plans for my life.”

Matthew 6 says, “Do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

Every Sunday, we do our best to transform our rented building into a place where the Holy Spirit desires to dwell. Without fail, we are graciously met with His tangible presence because He’s just that good. Today was above and beyond what we could’ve asked for. Thank you for showing up, choosing Jesus, and running after all He has for you. These days are special ones. 😭🤍

There’s no one else we’d want to spend Sundays with and experience the transforming, life-changing power of the love of Jesus.

Isaiah 62 is the vision that God has given our church for the city of San Francisco. We have a team of intercessors that are praying out that chapter for the month of November! You’re invited to join in and pray with us. 🤍

THIS IS WHY WE EXIST!! 😭

“Even though I was broken, damaged, and full of glitches, God was able to repair me. Even though I feel I am not worthy, God still loves me. He loves me no matter what. Encountering His presence was the best thing to ever happen to me.”

Somethin’ about that extra hour of sleep, seeing all of our favorite people, and the presence of God has us feeling some type of way. 🙃🙂

Jennifer’s Story. ❤️

“I spent the better part of my life being angry with God. I was angry at Him because I was a single mom and struggled to provide for my family. I was angry because people close to me died and I couldn't understand why He didn’t save them. I was scared to love anyone for fear that I would lose them too. I turned my back on God and my faith.

My life descended into a darkness of anger, alcohol, detrimental relationships, and isolation.

In July of this year, my kids and I were facing homelessness. Two days before we had to be out, we were blessed with a beautiful apartment and a brand new chance at life. Shortly after that I heard a sermon about breaking generational curses and soul ties. The main message was that God is not the author of chaos and confusion, He is a God of peace and love.

I felt like the preacher was speaking to me and telling my story. In that moment, I was able to see the miracle of God’s work throughout my life. I realized that no matter how many times I rejected Him and no matter how angry I was, He never left me. He never stopped watching over me and He never stopped loving me.

Since restoring my faith, I have decided to change my life. I started attending church and I have been sober and ni****ne free for 74 days today! I have found peace and am surrounded by love. I am now the person that I always wanted to be. I give all glory to God and His love!”

The Holy Spirit wants to be the sieve in your life and remove all the lies you’re believing. Will you let Him…? 😝

Gloria’s Story. 🤎

“I am a pastor's daughter.
That is what I would say when people would ask me about my faith. I didn’t answer with any details about my walk because my identity was wrapped up in what I did in church and who my parents were.

I grew up memorizing bible verses, knowing all the worship songs, and going to church three times a week, but I never had an authentic relationship with God.

It wasn’t until last year when I was depressed, tired of existing, & praying for death that I realized I needed to get serious and be intentional about my relationship with Jesus. I prayed for purpose, I prayed for a community and I prayed for more of God.

In one of my most desperate moments I was searching for a church, and I found The Fathers House. I got connected with Michelle, began going to Group, attending services, and I started serving.

This community and this church were part of what I had been praying for.

I have begun to experience healing, love, provision, and I know it’s the result of a relationship with Christ. I realized when I was baptized years ago, I did it to please others rather than to fully submit my life to God.

My identity is no longer found in any other title other than being in Jesus Christ, my savior. I am excited to begin my ministry and experience a new life in Jesus.”

Rain or shine… the Holy Ghost shows up. 😅 Shoutout to all of you that weathered the craziness to be in the House of God - today was a special one!

Also, happy birthday to one of our MVPs @dave_esc8 🥳 Our church wouldn’t run without you!!

“I am continuing to heal from my past and becoming who God created me to be and in being baptized, I am being equipped and empowered by God for the new life He has for me.”
Way to go, Maritza! 🤍

The Holy Spirit wants to lead you this week, will you let Him? 🚶‍♀️🚶

Photos from The Father's House San Francisco's post 10/19/2021

“Being in the military, I know the consequences for not keeping in step with my unit as my own life depends on it. In the same way, I am called to walk and keep in step with the Spirit as my very soul depends on it.”
Congratulations, Dom! 🖤

Alexa’s Story. 🤍

“I have struggled with living in anxiety and fear. I would get obsessed over my thoughts and I was hesitant to let God lead me. I had no sense of identity or any real purpose for my life and I kept my heart closed off so I wouldn’t get hurt. My self-esteem was so low that I did not even love myself. I worried that I would never be set free from the darkness I was carrying.

On July 21, 2021 at Encounter Conference, I was on my knees crying because I could not live my life in this cycle of fear any longer. I saw God as Father, but I forgot He was also the King of Kings, which meant that through Him I had the power to no longer be a slave to anxiety or fear!

God knew me from my mother's womb and He created my identity. I had forgotten how good He was.

I asked God for forgiveness because I realized that I was idolizing the world rather than being led by Him. I asked God to pour His spirit out into my life and He has done so.

I know now that I am worthy and that God is the only one who can see me for all I am.
Fear and anxiety stop with me, my future kids will not struggle like I did. God’s blood runs through my veins, and everything that has tried to stop me will not mess up God’s plan for me.

Every lie that used to have control over me must bow down to Jesus.”

The Holy Spirit is SOMEONE, not SOMETHING.

Throughout your week, acknowledge Him and simply say, “Holy Spirit, I invite you to come close and speak to me.”

James 4:8 says, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”

When you get baptized with your spouse… 🤍

“God clearly and unmistakably intervened on my behalf working through others. I needed a wake-up call and I got one.” - Carl

“Life was pretty amazing until I was 11 years old and was forced into a van and abused by a group of older men. My life changed that day. I became bitter, angry and no longer trusted anyone.

That trauma led me to cut school and turn to drugs. I got pregnant when I was 20 years old and God blessed me with the most amazing son. His father did not want to help me raise him, so I raised him on my own. I struggled, but for my son, I was able to get off drugs, but I was still broken.

I now believe that God has a purpose for my pain and that He will use me to help people walking through what I went through.” - Kimberly

Can we really do Sundays without our friends?! Never. 🥰

Photos from The Father's House San Francisco's post 09/27/2021

Okay but THIS. 😭 One of the best parts about yesterday was celebrating with Ellie and @robynlbittle because they’re HOME from the hospital.

As you know, the last month has been filled with hospital stays, surgeries, improvements, and everything in between. But yesterday, Ellie stood on stage with hands held high in victory as she continues to heal.

Thank you for being a church that doesn’t stop praying until we see a miracle.

WE LOVE YOU ELLIE + BITTLE FAMILY❤️

UPDATE ON ELLIE:

She is currently in the ICU with an extremely rare blood clot. She was put on blood thinners to prevent more clots from forming. Unfortunately, the medication won’t remove the clot itself, so it needs to be absorbed by her body.

Here’s how you can pray:
• The clot would swiftly be absorbed back into her body and that it would not travel into the adjacent veins/organs.

• For her pain to get under control or go away completely.

•Wisdom and supernatural guidance for the team of doctors that are making decisions.

• Ultimately for complete and supernatural healing in the mighty Name of Jesus!

• Peace and strength over Tim, Robyn, and Ellie.

Thank you for continuing to stand and pray until we see Ellie healed. 🤍

We love the beautifully diverse church that God is building in this city. 🤎

Sunday was extra special celebrating Ike and Magda. Ike is from Lagos, Nigeria and Magda is from Mexico City.

If you don’t feel comfortable sharing your story in English, we got you! Magda shared her story in Spanish and it was powerful!

“It all started with a conversation.”

Pastors Tim and Robyn married in 2004 and have two daughters (Ellie and Livvy). They have a heart to see San Francisco and the greater Bay Area reached with the life changing message of Jesus. After serving as associate pastors at The Fathers House for 10 years, they started TFH SF with the hope of bringing all that God is doing through the church to San Francisco. They are passionate about community, family, and raising up the next generation of leaders.
