Young Adults Winter Retreat 2019 Video!

Hello everyone! Wonderful seeing everyone at camp this year! Just wanted to let everybody know that Church of the Resurrection, Castro Valley, is looking to hire a part time communications coordinator. This person would basically be responsible for overseeing our website, social media, and other promotion activities. Please feel free to see the job description attached, which I should add is flexible, for more information. God bless!

for the young adult spring retreat at the end of next month, is it possible if anyone is driving through the san jose or san francisco airports who could pick me up there by chance?.
I absolutely LOVE this photo.

Our beloved Rev. Father Thomas J. Paris passed away peacefully at home this morning following a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Father Tom Paris embodied the heart and soul of the Ascension Greek Orthodox Community in Oakland for 50 years. His service to the local community and the Greek Orthodox Church in America was a shining example to all our fellow clergy.

Fr. Tom’s dedication and his love impacted over three generations of Greek Orthodox Christians in the Bay Area. He was part of everyone’s family. Our sympathy, love, and prayers go out to his wife, Presvytera Vaso, his children, and grandchildren.

May his memory be eternal.

SUMMER CAMP SPOTLIGHT:

CHRISTINA VASQUEZ - PACIFICA, CA (coastal town 15 minutes south of SF)

Hey y’all! Christina is so happy to be back at home (camp) even if it is virtual because whether we are at the ranch or in our homes, God is still with us! Christina cannot believe this is her third year as a counselor-so grateful-and her ninth year in a row going to St. Nick’s! Christina lives in the foggy town of Pacifica and attends the Annunciation Cathedral in San Francisco! She is entering into her senior year at SFSU and will be double-majoring in Psychology and CAD w/ a minor in Criminal Justice! In her spare time, she can usually be found binging a show or movie, having epic jam sessions, or taking walks on a Pacifica beach, but 9 times out of 10, she is hanging out with her siblings who are her best friends! Her brother Andrew is actually on staff this year :) Above all, Christina hopes our campers can continue to love God and in turn love themselves for the amazing people that they are while having the mostest funnest time ever! God bless and SUMMER IS BACK-whoot whoot!
