Leeland - Way Maker (Official Live Video)

Dear VACSF members and Friends,

During these uncertain times, we can always look to our Heavenly Father. Even though we are separated physically, we can still gather spiritually, worshipping God and listening to His Word.

If you can, please set a time with your family to have worship together this Sunday:
- Have a person open in prayer,
- Then sing along with the worship songs (English and/or Vietnamese)
- Then listen to the sermon (English or Vietnamese)
- And lastly, have another person pray to close.

This week, I've chosen 2 worship songs that speak to our fears and worries and reminds us to turn our focus on Him.
Worship songs:
Way Maker (Đấng Mở Đường):

God Will Make A Way (Ngài Luôn Mở Lối):

VBS 2019 Life is Wild, God Is Good!

[06/12/19]   From Chi Tram...
It is with great pain and sorrow that I bring you the sad news. My beloved mom passed away due to gallbladder cancer this past Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 7:15 am. After much pain and suffering, my mom is now at peace and resting in God’s embrace. She was 72 years old and is survived by two older sisters, one younger sister, one younger brother, one daughter, one son-in-law, one grandson, eleven nieces and nephews.

She has always been adamant about a very private cremation of her mortal remains, so there will be no viewings or burial ceremonies. However, we will be holding a short memorial for my mom
10:00 am on June 22, 2019
at San Francisco Vietnamese Alliance Church
1332 Vermont Street, San Francisco, CA 94110

Instead of flowers or donations, we would like to ask donations to be given to the church – same address as above – where my mom had found so much love and support during her walk with Christ right up to the end of her life.

May God continue to bless you and yours.

[04/17/19]   Dear Friends,

Hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to let you know that VACSF will be having a Good Friday service at 7 pm this coming Friday, April 19 at church (1332 Vermont Street, SF, CA, 94110).

We will be able to worship and fellowship together as we remember what Jesus went through for us.

Good Friday is a sad day for us, but we know Sunday is coming, and so we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord on Sunday, April 21 at 12:30 pm. Come and let us lift up our voices in celebration of that fact that we have eternal life in Him.

Afterward, there will be a special luncheon.

I hope to see you all this coming weekend.

Have a Happy Easter!

God bless,
p. andrew

Happy Mother’s Day!!!

On behalf of Newark Alliance Church and San Francisco Vietnamese Alliance Church, we invite you to attend a program and witness the work of God.

In this program, we will hear Pastor Nam Quoc Trung and Huynh Thi Kim Loan sharing personal experiences when they were rescued from drugs only by the power of Jesus.

Rev. Nam Quoc Trung, a former drug addict who spent many years in jail, came to the clinic many times, lived in despair but met Jesus and was transformed into a pastor. He cared for those who were inundated with drugs and other forms of addiction in Hanoi. Rev. Trung is the founder and director of Aquila's rehabilitation center and the pastor of the Church of Remission in Hanoi.

Mrs. Nam Quoc Trung, named Nguyen Thi Hong Van, who lived in hell when her husband was immersed with drugs. She is the living witness to tell us about the transforming power of God on her husband's life. Hong Van also received Jesus when she saw his transformed life. Mrs. Hong Van is the director of the Naomi Women's Addiction Center in Hanoi.

Ms. Huynh Thi Kim Loan was born and raised in Australia. She has had a past 20 years of drug and alcohol abuse. Upon the recommendation of a friend of her mother, Kim Loan was taken to the detoxification center ran by Pastor Nam Quoc Trung in Hanoi. After some time in the center, Kim Loan was completely rescued from alcohol and drugs. Kim Loan wishes to have many opportunities to witness the transforming power of the Lord in her life so that many come to know God and be delivered from all addictions.

The program will be held at Newark Alliance Church:
Vietnamese Alliance Church of Newark
38325 Cedar Blvd
Newark, CA 94560

At: 6:30 PM Saturday 7 April 2018
Refreshments will be served after group time

The program includes:
Part 1: Testify of the transforming power of Jesus, so it is well suited for those who do not know about God
Part 2: Narrative of the wonderful work God is doing among the addicts in Vietnam, suitable for both believers and friends.

We are very glad to welcome you in this sharing and witness program.

Rev. Andrew Ong, San Francisco

[03/27/18]   Dear Friends,
VACSF will be having our Good Friday service this coming Friday, March 30, 2018 at 7:30 pm. We will be going through the last hours of Jesus' life with His disciples and seeing what He went through in order for us to be forgiven of our sins. I hope that you will make time to come and be reminded of just how great our God's love is for us. Invite your friends to come as well. Come to Him with your burdens, pain, sorrows, and walk away being filled with the knowledge that you are deeply loved by God.

So long, farewell, I hate to say good bye...

[02/03/18]   Dear Friends,

VACSF will be celebrating TẾT (Lunar New Year) this year on Sunday, February 11th. We will have our worship service at 12:30 pm, and will then have a special luncheon afterwards.

This year, we would like to invite you to participate in the Tet celebration by showing us your different talents. We will have a talent show during the luncheon, and the audience will be the judge as to who they liked the most. There will be a grand prize as well participating prizes for all who take part. You can do anything you want: sing, karaoke, dance, tell jokes, tell a story, read a poem, do a hip hop dance, hula dance, do magic, burp the alphabets. Whatever your talent is, you can share with everyone.

If you want to take part, please sign up with me so that we can arrange it so that everyone will have enough time to show your talent. :-) There is no age restriction. :-) Please respond to this email to sign up.

We have 2 more weeks until we celebrate Tết. I hope that you will be able to join us and participate in the talent show. I'm looking forward to seeing all of the different talents we have in our church.

God bless,
p. andrew
