School of the Epiphany held a prayer service, inside the Church, yesterday to mark the opening of the 2021 - 2022 school year. This was quite a momentous occasion for it has been 18 months since we last went to church as entire student body. Hoping for a safe school year ahead for everyone. EAGLE strong!🦅⛪

Some of these 8th graders (Class of 2022) may be experiencing mixed emotions on their very last "First Day of School" at School of the Epiphany. This time next year, they will be freshmen in high school. With them they will carry the knowledge and the well rounded education that they received from School of the Epiphany. Soar like an EAGLE, Class of 2022! 🦅⛪

It feels like Christmas in August for the students in grades 3 through 8 at School of the Epiphany. Each student is receiving a brand new Chromebook Laptop. Money raised from the annual FUN RUN Fundraiser was used to make this awesome purchase for the students.

We can't wait for this year's FUN RUN (coming soon...this September). The money raised will be again used to purchase more items to improve the school.

(Pictured here are the 5th graders opening up their new HP Chromebook Laptops on Friday, August 27, 2021). Go EAGLES!🦅💻

Welcome back, Ms. Celina Baldizon! Ms. Baldizon has returned to School of the Epiphany as the 2nd grade teacher (in 2 West). You may remember Ms. Baldizon from five years ago when she completed her Student Teaching at the school. We are excited to have her back on staff, for she brings experience and fresh new ideas. Once an EAGLE, always an EAGLE...right? 🦅😊

School of the Epiphany is proud of alumna, Diana Guardado (Class of 2008), who is continuing to make a name for herself in the movie industry.

Today, Diana is a production coordinator at Pixar Animation Studios. Credits to her name include Coco, Incredibles 2, and Soul. Her latest project is co-producing a short animated film called Washed. (Source: May 2021 USF Magazine)

End of the Year Prayer Service 2021

School of the Epiphany held a virtual prayer service today (June 9, 2021) on the last day of school for the 2020 - 2021 school year. Thank you especially to Mr. John Mills and Mr. Christian Pabalan for producing the video, along with the students, faculty and staff who participated in the video. It was beautifully created and a fitting tribute to the end of a challenging school year due to COVID-19.

School of the Epiphany hopes to see all the children and their families back in the building in the fall for the 2021 - 2022 school year. Crossing our fingers... EAGLE proud! 🦅⛪

That's a wrap for the 2020 - 2021 school year at School of the Epiphany. Thank you to the students, families, and the faculty & staff at School of the Epiphany for rising to the challenge of a very unusual school year. We started the year off with distance learning for everyone then transitioned to in class instruction for some students while continuing to Zoom with others. I think a virtual round of applause is in order. Enjoy your well deserved summer vacation. We look forward to seeing you in the fall. EAGLES now and forever!🦅⛪

School of the Epiphany recognized the efforts, hard work, and dedication Ms. Mary Ann Barbero has given to School of the Epiphany over the last 40 years. That's right! Ms. Barbero has been teaching at School of the Epiphany for the last 40 years. You may have known her as a third grade teacher in 3 East or as the sixth grade teacher in 6 West. This past year, she returned to the third grade. However, this time around it is 3 West. Congratulations on this wonderful achievement and we look forward to seeing you in the fall for the 2021 - 2022 school year...That's #41, Ms. Barbero. EAGLES forever!🦅 ⛪️

As the 2020 - 2021 school year draws to a close in a couple of weeks, it is always sad to learn of Faculty and Staff who will be leaving the School of the Epiphany community. This year, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs. Margaret Hall and Ms. Naomi Yee. Mrs. Hall is a paraprofessional educator who worked primarily with the 1st Graders in the last few years. She will be retiring after spending the last 22 years at the School. Ms. Yee who is probably best known as being the 2nd Grade teacher at the School, has actually served in a few positions. She created, headed up and oversaw the Maker Space Program, taught the 4th grade, and is one of the Faculty Moderators for ASB (Associated Student Body Council). She will be moving on to new adventures after 16 years, at School of the Epiphany. They will both be greatly missed; however, we wish them ALL the best! Eagles now and forever! 🦅⛪

School of the Epiphany still has tons of spirit regardless of the challenges of the school year. May 24th - 28th is Spirit Week and the following students, faculty and staff members are demonstrating their school spirit by participating in "Twin Day"...(The idea was to wear matching clothing with another student or students or staff member). Thank you EAGLES for taking part in this fun activity!🦅

School of the Epiphany recently learned about two alumni (Alejandra Baldizon and Francisco Padilla) who recently graduated from San Francisco State University on Friday, May 21, 2021. We are very proud of all of their accomplishments. Well Done, Eagles! May you continue to find success in all of your future endeavors.

[04/05/21]   Below is a statement written by Christian Pabalan, our middle school social studies teacher, on behalf of our school community:

The School of the Epiphany condemns the growing anti-Asian hate crimes happening across our country. We pray for the victims of these hate crimes, including the victims of the recent shootings in Georgia, and their loved ones. We call for an end to racism and its sins of discrimination, harassment, hate speech, and violence. We pray for those who act against love, that they may have an epiphany of their own and open their hearts to treating all people with kindness and understanding.

We are aware of the long history of racism and discrimination of Asian and Asian Americans, not just during the current pandemic. We empathize their fear and anxiety, especially during this time. Our school continues to proudly serve students of the AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islander) community and the many other communities of the San Francisco Bay Area. In the spirit of our motto, Not Words But Deeds, we will continue to work with our students in nurturing their God-given talents to treat all people with love, empathy, and respect.

Let us stand together against racism in our support for the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.

The Faculty and Staff of School of the Epiphany

School of the Epiphany hosted their 2nd annual Fun Run Fundraiser today (March 26, 2021). Due to COVID-19, this year's Fun Run looked a little different compared to last year's. Students participated either in person or virtually. Our "Roomers" (students who are back in the school building for in class instruction) ran or walked around the track that was set up in the schoolyard. Our "Zoomers" (students who are in "Distance/Remote Learning") took part in a 31 minute long video.

THANK YOU to everyone who participated, helped organize, supported and/or donated money to this fun event to help improve our School of the Epiphany. Every little bit helps, and WE APPRECIATE YOU!!! 🦅⛪
