Stoked to be a part of this! We need some more volunteers. Use those company volunteer hours or just take half a day off and start the weekend off right by making a difference!

Love seeing folks use creative ways like Benevity to make their giving go further. If your company uses Benevity and you want to invest in the upcoming year at Canvas, consider utilizing your company's matching funds program.

To everyone, both who go to Canvas or support at a distance, thank you for your generosity that equips us for the year to come.
True meaning = Becoming a means to an end that is not you.

Canvas you lived out true meaning today by sponsoring 30 children through City Impact. So proud to be a part of what the Lord is doing in San Francisco!
Don't forget to bring your donations this Sunday to Canvas. You can bring the following:

- Blankets
- Jackets
- Hoodies
- Sleeping bags
- Tents

There will be a big box in the lobby that you can place your donations in. Thanks for being somebody's somebody this Christmas!
I just wanted to thank the Canvas community for their support of IJM this past Sunday. It takes 23 people signing up as Freedom Partners to fund a rescue mission, and last weekend we had 25 people make the commitment - that's over 10% of the congregation!

You are literally financing an operation to save those who are in slavery or have been trafficked. Please know how amazing this is.

What do the last 15 months represent to you?

For some it represents

defeat
struggle
loss

But what if God wants to RE-PRESENT those things as

victory
strength
and growth?

On Sunday, Pastor Travis brought a powerful teaching titled, "The Miracle of Midnight." If the last 15 months have been difficult and you've struggled to reopen your life on the other side of COVID, this teaching is for you.

Watch the full teaching in the Canvas App or through the link in our bio.

Tomorrow is Juneteenth ✊🏿

At Canvas we are passionate about creating a future worth fighting for. To do this, we must learn about our past so that we can learn from our past. Juneteenth is an important and historic day that is celebrated in the black community and it is a day that should remind all of us to engage in the ongoing work of racial justice.

Swipe ⬅️ and learn more about what Juneteenth is about. Then discover some places where Juneteenth will be celebrated in San Francisco. We encourage you to join in the celebration and renew your commitment to the Kingdom work of racial justice and equity.

We're so glad that Madison recently became a part of the Canvas fam at Belong! ❀️

After a year of isolation, it's so beautiful to see new friends plugging into community at Canvas. Since Canvas started, our desire is that we'd be a community you belong to, not an event you attend.

If you're ready to take your next step and plug in at Canvas, then don't miss our next Belong happening on July 11th. All you need to do is follow the next steps below πŸ‘‡

Our peace isn't connected to our performance; our peace is connected to Jesus! ❀️

No matter what this week has been for you. Let's rest in the fact that we can't lose God's love or earn God's love because it is already yours in Jesus.

We're so pumped to finally be getting back into a good rhythm as a church. Here are some things happening and coming up that we want to get on your radar!

β›ͺ PT will be continuing our series on the Early Church called "The Startup Church." This has been such a powerful series to reclaim what it means to be the Church in a chaotic world.

✊🏾 Juneteenth is this month, and it's an important time to remember the history of racism in our country and remember that we have much more work to do to create a future of equity for our BIPOC brothers and sisters. For more info on Juneteenth, visit juneteenth.com.

😷 California is planning to reopen on June 15th! We're excited to see our city and church fully reopen. Pastor Travis shared some important questions and reflections in this week's MDWK post. Check it out at canvas-sf.com!

Do you believe this is true?

Today Pastor Travis reminded us that, for many of us, our issue is not that we don't believe in God but that we don't BELIEVE GOD.

How differently might your life be if you believed God and believed his love was truly unconditional and unshakable?

Take some time tonight to reflect on this and ask yourself: Do I truly believe God?

Our Story

Canvas started on Sunday, October 13th, 2013, at Presidio Theater with a ragtag group of people who love Jesus and love San Francisco and desired to point creatives to their Creator, that they would become fully alive followers of Jesus.

That small family of 23 people has now grown into a thriving family of hundreds. Together, we are practicing the way of Jesus and canon balling into the deep waters of the fully alive life that is available to all people. Our name comes from the deep belief that our lives are a canvas and it is up to us what masterpiece we will leave behind with our lives.

Whether you believe or not, you can belong in the Canvas family and together we can create a future worth fighting for.
