San Francisco Bible Church desires to be Biblical in our teaching and our ministries.
Mission: We strive to teach the whole counsel of God from Genesis to Revelation. SFBC believes that the whole Bible is God's Word and has as its central theme: God's plan of salvation for mankind through Jesus Christ.
Operating as usual

Ministries may decide to hold online (video conferencing) meetings. Ministry Leaders of these ministries will provide more information to those participating.
These measures will be observed through March with a reevaluation at the end of the month. Read the full letter from our Elders: https://www.sfbible.org/covid-19-updates/

Wednesday: Ellen shared her testimony at the weekly ladies fellowship. It was an opportunity to encourage them to abandon their ancestral idols and fully put their trust in Christ.
John Knox has an evening men's bible study going through the book of Acts. Howard shared a devotional from James 4 and they all enjoyed an extended time of prayer.
Pray for even long term church attendees that have not yet fully committed their lives to the one true God.
Tuesday: (1) Planning meeting to go over English camp schedule and assignments. (2) Preparing camp materials to teach about "opposites" (3) Practicing making the lanyard that will be part of craft time. (4) Boys helping with one of the English classes. (5) Couple of girls from church who also come for English and piano classes midweek. (6) Ended day with trip to McD and tried shrimp burger.
Another short term missions team has arrived in Japan--the Chuang family! After being fed by our missionaries, John and Becky Knox, we tackled the waist high weeds on the church grounds and now have a clear fence.
Looking forward to a day of worship tomorrow and more praises to share.

Say hello to our second summer short-term ministry team, who will be departing for Argentina this Monday morning! Jean-Marc, Belinda, and David are so humbled and pumped for this opportunity to serve the Ramirez family and their community as a demonstration of SFBC's love and support for their ministry!
Please keep them in your prayers as they come alongside these faithful missionaries to labor together for the advancement of the gospel, to the glory of God. Check the SFBC Instagram feed for further updates!
Today, we are sharing our prayer requests first for our remaining time here:
Tomorrow, we will be helping with a youth meeting where we will be playing sports, making tacos, and having a message back at church. Please pray for our interactions with the young people and for John’s preparation to share the Gospel with them.
On Sunday, Emily & Cindy will be giving their testimonies and Jasmine & Alex will be helping with the children for Sunday school. Please pray for open hearts and minds for the attendees to acknowledge their need for a Savior.
And Monday, we will be teaching our last classes. Please pray as we prepare for those lessons and also for us to finish strong as we get ready to return home!
As for the picture below, these are some of the ladies who came to the women’s meeting. Please pray as many have yet to accept Christ!
As always, thank you for your prayers, church family!!

We are an on-campus college ministry of San Francisco Bible Church where students come to engage in the study of God’s Word and build relationships with fellow believers who collectively desire to make much of Christ as they find their way through the formative college years.
Our desire is to reach collegians with the hope of the Gospel and foster within them a fervent love for God and His Word.
Come join us!

Pastor Henry preaches on Easter Sunday.
33 Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
35 Some of those who stood by, when they heard that, said, “Look, He is calling for Elijah!” 36 Then someone ran and filled a sponge full of sour wine, put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink, saying, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to take Him down.”
37 And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last.
38 Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, “Truly this Man was the Son of God!”

SFBC MERCY MINISTRY
For the first six months of the new year 2014, we will be reading short articles, e-journal from 9Marks, about where Mercy ministry fits into the church. To introduce us to this study, our first meeting will be this Thursday January 16th - where Pastor Alton will be teaching us about what the Bible has to say about Mercy: how it is interwoven with the Gospel and evangelism. If you are interested, for further details please e-mail us: [email protected].
Please join us tomorrow, Christmas morning, at 9:30 am here in the worship hall to give thanks to God for the birth of our Savior.
This Saturday evening (December 14th) is our Christmas Praise Night entitled "Glory to God In The Highest." We have been working really hard in preparing for this evening of praise and worship. Pastor Alton will be sharing a short devotional. Please come AND bring your friends and family to focus on what Christmas is about.
The program starts 7:00 PM in the sanctuary. Refreshments will be served afterwards during a time of fellowship. Let us give Him the Glory He deserves!
Hope to see you there!

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.” - Ephesians 6:1-3
While Mother's Day is celebrated only once a year, God calls us to love and honor our mothers every day. May you be encouraged by God's word to show love for your mother today, tomorrow and always.
[05/03/13] If this week has worn you down, fill up with the Word of God later tonight at one of the SFBC fellowship groups! Ranging from Jr. High to young couples/families, there's something for everyone. We hope to see you later and have a great weekend!
