Pray as you go

Fellow Faith Sharers: I have been called to my new status as grandmother Uber driver picking up my granddaughter from camp and, unexpectedly, pick up the family puppy who been away for 10 days in puppy bootcamp. I will post a picture. Hopefully, he is better behaved.

Meanwhile, there is today's "Pray as You Go". It is so interesting that the first reading says that "God loves a cheerful giver", and in the Gospel, which is read on Ash Wednesday, it warns us not to look gloomy as we "fast". Fasting is not only for lent but for every day. Fasting from resentment, disappointment. So we must give cheerfully and not be gloomy even when we are struggling.

What do you think?

Pray as you go 06/09/2021

Pray as you go

Good afternoon faith companions: I will not be able to lead the faith sharing today nor on Friday. My older grandchildren started camp and have been helping my daughter with pick ups. It's been pretty messy with the process but grateful that both of them are finally out and about. Today my daughter and son-in-law are leaving for a mini-vacation without the kids? Guess where they are staying. So I am going to be parent and Uber driver with the help of Gustavo Torres for all three grandchildren. The three year old stays during the day with my cousin but will be with me from 5-8 pm nightly, then back to my cousins who lives downstairs from me, but the weekend they are all mine. On top of that, I started summer school teaching two classes and being the supervisor, find myself overwhelmed. I am feeling my age and need your prayers for patience, focus and sanity.

Can we also change our time from 4:30 to 5:00 pm starting on Monday. Please let me know. Thank-you.... I will posting every day sharing a prayer resource. Blessings, Maria Rosales-Uribe
