Rejoice In The Lord Always, Again I Say Rejoice.
Life Center Family: Hurricane Florence has left so much heartache in her wake. Our county has done a tremendous job of taking care of its folks, but our smaller neighboring counties still need our help. While the spotlight has been on the wonderful efforts being made here, our neighbors have been quietly struggling. Truth Youth Ministries is currently taking donations of the following: -hygiene -cleaning products -diapers -canned goods that we will deliver next week. If you can help, just drop these items off in the Youth Center this Sunday or Wednesday night or contact Pastor Angie Ivey. Thanks in advance for loving your neighbor.
would like to visit this morning. What is the new address?

[05/22/20]   Steps to Reopening at The Life Center:

For two months, we have had to fly an airplane that we have essentially assembled as we have flown it. We are getting closer to the airport, so we will have to start discussing and learning how to land this plane. All airplanes are not the same.

Different sizes and types of airplanes require different landing approaches and require different runways. We must choose the length of runway we need to land on based on what kind of plane we are flying.

Phase two: (May 24-May 30)

Vulnerable populations, such as people 65 years of age or older and those with underlying lung disease such as asthma or COPD or people with weakened immune systems are encouraged to continue to watch online. In-person worship services will resume at a reduced capacity.

Steps to determine capacity:
Call your local planning or inspections department (not the fire department) to get your usable occupancy rating. Each state’s capacity ratings are uniform across the USA.

Local inspections granted your occupancy and will have a record of your occupancy on file. You should request that occupancy number. Buildings with fire walls and separations should be considered separate entities. Building numbers cannot be combined into a composite total.

The Life Center’s sanctuary occupancy is 490. Operating at 50% will be 245 until further notice.

Service Time
11:00 AM, with no Sunday School until further notice.

Phase Two

• Allow margin for guest attenders.
• Designated Entrances and Exits for building are at the front doors of the building.
• Practice social distancing and minimize exposure.
• Use every other row of chairs in sanctuary and 6 feet apart (every three chairs across).
• Staff are not counted in number.
• Dismissal procedure – specific doors, formal dismissal such as funeral or weddings utilize
(by row or section)

Phase three: (June 27-July 11) Vulnerable populations can begin corporately worshipping but are encouraged to practice social distancing and minimize exposure. The number of people allowed to gather in houses of worship is increased.

Preparing Facilities:
• Remove items from the room to limit surfaces for potential contamination. Remove Bibles, pens, from chairs. Remove nonessential items in children’s areas.
• Water fountains are turned off. Congregants are encouraged to bring water.

Volunteers
• Limit volunteers to those who do not have preexisting conditions and those who are under 65 years of age.

Seating
• Please allow ushers to seat you.
• People from the same household can sit together. Space out other groups, according to
social distancing.
• Bulletins or other materials will be available at front counter.
• Avoid passing microphones on stage or sharing of microphones.
• Celebrate the return to worship.

Restrooms
• Limit number in bathroom to two at a time
• Use proper handwashing methods in the restroom.
• Display hand sanitizers at front counter. We encourage you to bring your own.

Hygiene
• Encourage hand washing and sanitization.
• Practice social distancing.
• Make sure you have adequate supplies on hand

Giving
• Advertise online giving option.

Greeters/Ushers/Volunteers
• Have security and ushers available to help provide guidance on social distancing issues.
• Greeters - Ensure doors are propped opened.
• Count attenders at each entrance.
• Ushers – assist worshippers to designated seating

Entrance/Exit
• Recommend enter building and go immediately to the worship service to be seated.
• Designate one –way pedestrian traffic flow to facilitate social distancing.
• Dismiss in an orderly way to ensure there is social distancing.

Worship Service
• Arrange seating to maintain social distancing. People of the same household can sit
together. Should have appropriate spacing between groups.

• Sit only on the odd rows beginning with the front as row one; this provides 6 feet of social distancing.
• Create 6 feet bubble at each seating location, except those of the same household.
• Eliminate Meet/Greet time and stations until receive all clear.

Worship Teams
• Use as much of the team as possible without exceeding safety. Assign microphones and
keep consistent.
• Remember forceful breathing and exhaling can expel the virus further when singing.
• Space out appropriately
• Wipe down music stands and instruments after each use.

Tech Teams
• Clean equipment after each use – computers, cameras, soundboards, etc.
• Keep appropriate distances between stations if possible.

Children (Nursery, Preschool, and Elementary)
(Healthy children are coming to the doctor, sick people not coming – prediction would be opposite)

• Only 11:00 worship will be provided until further notice, beginning May 24 .

After the designated date, we will adhere to the following guidelines:
• Limit volunteers to those without preexisting conditions.

Nursery:
• American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children under 2 do not wear mask.
• Nursery staff to wear masks (surgical masks priority). If you are wearing a mask, it’s too soon to have your preschool/children areas open.
• One-way entrance, One-way exit
• Hand-wash and use sanitizer
• No children allowed with runny noses, cough or watery eyes (even if allergies)
• Have extra volunteers available because some children may experience separation
anxiety.
• Have only one person handle children check in station.
• Do not let parents into the room and limit child drop-off to a safe distance.
• Consider one parent drop off and pick up.
• Restrict personal items/diaper bags.
• No snacks, except in nursery
• Make sure items brought in are clearly labeled and kept in separate containers
• Consider keeping nursery and preschool closed until you can comply with CDC
guidelines for child care facilities
• Provide overflow plan for each area
• Have a checklist of what’s been cleaned and when in each room. Wipe surfaces continually as they are touched by children

Toys – cleaned between services. No wood toys. Larger toys are better; they won’t go in the mouth. Store smaller toys.
Section off nursery space for isolation – weakens the chance of germ spread.
Carpet – cover with plastic tablecloth for kids to play on

Pre-school
• Volunteers – mask (surgical)

Elementary
• Every third chair

Middle School
• Middle School service on Wednesday nights on campus
• Use TV to create distance

High School
• High School service on Wednesday nights on campus
• Continue through Zoom or small groups meeting at church within designated
guidelines.

Faith in Dark Times

Sunday Morning Message: Enjoy this sermon on faith in dark times as God creates a paradigm shift in your struggle. This shift will change the way you function. The resurrection of Christ changed the world, offering them light for darkness.

Enjoy this sermon on “Trusting God When It’s Dark” as God creates a paradigm shift in your struggle.

[03/21/20]   We would like to say thank you for your generosity. You may give by texting 1.844.334.1235. You may give by using our Easy Tithe messaging also @ (910) 302-7752. We are grateful for your giving.

[03/21/20]   Works are not the cause of salvation, but they are commanded with salvation. Good works of the believer is a display of God's goodness in His people, as Paul wrote, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10, NKJV). When a faucet is turned on, water flows out; if there is something in the pipes, there is something in the faucet. The water is not the causation of the faucet, but it is the affection of good works. The Apostle James would continue by saying, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also” (James 2:26, NKJV). If the believer is not functioning in his faith, then the Spirit of God has not changed this person (by his own stubbornness). In application, repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 1:15), then exemplify Christ in your life by doing good works and showcasing God's love unashamed. The thief on the cross exemplified good works in his belief in the Savior, then testifying publicly, “Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise”” (Luke 23:42–43, NKJV).

Trusting God When It's Dark

God’s people are made up of a huge faith community. In Moses’ day, they were living in fear and in slavery to the Egyptians. Moses had a dreadful past that kept him on the backside of the Midian desert for 40 years.
It is the dawn of a new day. Christ was in the tomb for three days, and suddenly there was a mighty paradigm shift (Thomas Kuhn) in the Earth. A paradigm shift is a fundamental or major change in the practices of how something works or how something is accomplished. Our world would never be the same. Moses went from a refugee to a redeemer in one day. The same way this COVID-19 surfaced it will be sent away. Your life is not falling apart, it is falling into place. Your life will turn around. Your circumstances will shift. Your challenges will be confronted. Hope will be achieved, and your destiny will be met. Be faithful. Visit: https://www.facebook.com/life.exit29/

I Will Be With You

The 43rd chapter of Isaiah is about God promising to deliver Israel from the cruelty of Babylon. Just as God delivers Israel, He will deliver you as His people. If there was ever a time in U.S. history that America should turn up prayer and lean on God, that time is now. We cannot forget our mission as the church, that is, to win souls in trying times. Spread the love of Christ, and the world will see why we are steadfast in our faith. Fear not, but believe God.

Wednesday Bible Study: the book of Acts
The apostles were being locked up for preaching in Jesus’ name. The unbelievers were expecting the church to dissolve in tough times, but they had resilient faith, they continued to abound after numerous challenges because they had an unshakable encounter with God. This lesson is from Acts 5:33-42. This can be viewed on YouTube: https://youtu.be/6Y-N74gesHk

[03/18/20]   Due to the governor and our Conference bishop’s instructions, The Life Center will not meet until March 31st. We will be streaming services on Facebook and YouTube. Please continue to pray, read your Bibles, and be faithfully generous in your giving. This crisis is not a death warrant, but it will exhibit the measure of your faith. Encourage one another in the Lord and know you are loved.
