Gray's Creek Statement of Purpose
We will be following the social distance mandate. There be 10 or less out of their vehicles and these will only be those that are involved with service and parking.
Likewise today, some Christians are content to merely exist until they die. They don't want to risk anything, to believe God, to grow or mature. They refuse to believe his Word, and have become hardened in their unbelief. Now they're living just to die. David Wilkerson
Instead of preaching to a pampered society we should preach repentance to the sinner. Gene Phillips
We have witnessed the world slowed down and stopped. Seems even now everyone's focus is on trying to stay safe and life or death. So many are glued to news reports and updates for government officials, but as proverbs would say..."all is vanity."
The world is shaping up for the greatest opportunity to have one of the greatest revival or if you would, great awakening.
The Church needs to rise to the call not panic in the boat. God is speaking, pulling and calling to the lost as well as the redeemed. Now more than ever the church should rise.
[03/20/20] If I may vent for a minute....so many are concerned about if and whether churches should be canceled. Some may view a pastor that decides to cancel their service as a lack of faith or if one decides not to then some how their faith is strong. Well, as a pastor, God called me to feed, nurture and keep the flock safe. So hands down my concern is for the well being of that flock not to place them in a position to bring harm to their lives. To those that are concerned that it will hurt the church just realize that's where faith comes in, not only that God will protect them, but that He will also sustain them. Our nation is in the middle of a crisis we have never faced before. Many of our countrymen are sacrificing to help fight the spread of this virus so it doesn't become even worse then it already is. So we as the church should sacrifice with them and join them in this battle. God is in control and will lead us through this. My trust is in Him completely and anticipate what a great thing He will do through this. So be encourage pastors, watch over your flock, keep them safe, and remember God's got this.
[03/18/20] Just a reminder...no children's classes for tonight. I will have a Bible study class in the church. Do not feel obligated to attend but if you want to come out we will have a study. If you come, I ask that we try and follow some of the guide lines implemented, use hand sanitizer, space your self from sitting close to one another and refrain from shaking hands or hugs. If you feel sick please stay home. I will send out more info for Sunday. Please continue to be in prayer for safety, protection and peace during this time of trial for are facing.
[03/16/20] Because of all that is going on, prayerfully seeking the Lords guidance we are shuffling our services around a little at Grays Creek. All children's and teen classes are cancelled for the next 2 weeks on wednesday nights. There will be a Wednesday night Bible study for those that would like to come. We are dividing our Sunday morning service into 2 times....10 am ages 60 and older and those with underline medical conditions, 1130 am 59 and below. Sunday school and children's church are cancelled for those 2 weeks.
[03/16/20] We had a wonderful Spirit filled service today at Grays Creek, God blessed us with great attendance, several visitors, moving music and a sweet fellowship...even through the virus was lurking, Gods victory was persevering. So if you don't have a place to worship come out and join us.
People running to and fro in search of hand sanitizers, toilet paper and making sure contact of other people is limited. I stand amazed at the spirit of fear that has gripped the people.
What would be nice to see is to see the fear of spending eternity without God and that same energy, awareness and preparation in search for salvation for their soul.
Even though toilet paper and hand sanitizer is in short demand which probably isnt the most effective way to be safe. There isn't a shortage of the gospel. So share the gospel even more so we can help combat the epidemic of sinfulness and separation from God.
[03/12/20] If you do not have a place to worship. We at Grays Creek invite you to our Friend and Fellowship service this Sunday at 11 am. After our morning worship we will have a fellowship meal, come out and join us.
Elijah asked the children of Israel an important question that we should be asking. In 1 Kings 18:21, he asked them, "How long will you falter between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word."
Today confusion is rampant, priorities are misguided and concerns are legitimized. Our country is being shut down because of a virus, that in all reality may not even effect you. National Guardsmen are activated, plans put into place, money waiting to be used but we have an epidemic of violence, drug abuse, sexual perversion, identity confusion yet not much is spoken of except in support for. When will people snap back into reality and choose the proper course of action, which is, acceptance of Jesus as their Lord and Savior and life according to His Word.
Fear will cripple you. Satan's greatest tool is fear. I am watching some many people and our nation crumble under the influence of his attack with his best weapon. God is in control, if we believe that why shouldnt we walk in that. Fear takes your focus off the Lord.
God tells Joshua, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be dismayed; for the Lord thy God is with you whereso ever thou goest. Instead of walking in fear, walk by faith. If you believe God with you, walk as Gods with you. But never allow fear to come upon you. So trust God...Hes got this!
[03/09/20] Praising the Lord for His over whelming presence today at Grays Creek. Every part of the service, He was felt. What a wonderful God we service.
[03/03/20] When fear and uncertainty comes a knocking, remember these words from the Lord...Ps. 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall i be afraid? In these times, the Lord is our great stabilizer, supplier and satisfied . The Psalmist reminds us that He is our light, He is the one that reveals clarity through these times, brings us deliverance during these times, grant's strength through and for these times. So what do we have to fear during these times? Nothing....Hes got this!
[03/02/20] Gods grace covers me, His mercy follows me, His love lifts me, His power strengthens me. He truly is everything to me, how could I ever live without Him.
[02/29/20] If you do not have a place to go worship tomorrow, we invite you to come join us at Grays Creek Church of God
[02/29/20] When you are hungry and are trying to fill your life with everything under the sun, try the Bread of life and have Him satisfy you to the fullest.
See if I can get some responses. I hear people describe remembering the day 911 took place. I was at work in a body shop in Silverhill, Al. People can remember the smallest details of that horrorable day.
But do you remember the day Jesus came into your life. I can mine...I was setting in a 4 wheel drive Chevy truck broken and without hope. He arrived to my rescue at the midnight hour, pulled me out of my despair and destruction, March 5 1989.
John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
Many run to and fro in self deception, convincing themselves that that can live any way they, do any thing and act any way they want and still have a relationship with Him. But it's just not so. Too many pervert the grace of God by living lives without any change to their life and this change will look like what He says it does according to His Word. If people claim to have a relationship with Him without doing what His Word says is walking in delusion. So if you claim it, do it according to what Christ says about. Live your life according to His Word.
[02/20/20] John 6:66-69 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him....everytime I read this my heart aches. I see today many are walking away as well. There are many reasons this is happen, some fall out with the pastor, people or church. But many turn from following Him because the journey they perceive for their path is not the path the Lord has for them. Many cannot handle the true weight of His Words, some are not willing to submit, surrender or sacrifice. Never the less, we should follow him fully, wholly, faithfully and completely. The Lord asked a piercing question...will you go away too? The Lord today is asking you this question. Will you follow him completely and faithfully? Will you finish your course? Will we allow our own perceived understandings to dictate our life or will we rely upon Him and follow Him solely. Today the Lord needs His church to rise up and give themselves to His kingdom work on this earth. He needs His church to follow His instructions and not to allow their own understanding, interpretation or precepts to dictate their journey. So speak what Peter spoke...Lord, to whom shall we go?
[02/18/20] Replace your fear with faith, your frailty with ferverancy, your flicker with fire and your failure with focus
[02/17/20] What a wonderful Spirit that has been in our church lately, God has been speaking in many ways. I am so excited to see what is in store for us.

Wanna give a shout out to these guys...Sister Heather Craig, Bro. Darin Craig and Sister Lauren Rogers and Sister Bailey, they did an awesome service through music during our revival this week. I would also would like to say how blessed we are to have them here at Grays Creek. It will be a blessing to see what God does through them as we move forward in Kingdom work.
[02/07/20] God truly blessed us at Grays Creek Church of God this week during our revival services. We had annointed and powerful preaching this week. Hearts and lives have been touched, changed, challenged, restored, refreshed, revived, encouraged, and ignited by the fire of the Holy Ghost. I want to thank Bro. Danny Byrd for his obedience and submissiveness to the Spirit to preach and minister to us at Grays Creek. Bro. Danny you have been a blessing this week. From us here at Grays Creek I want to say how much we appreciate and love you and sis. Tina. We pray Gods blessing on your lives and ministry. We rejoice in the Lord for what He has done and anticipate a great out pouring of His power in the days to follow.
[02/05/20] Final night of revival services tonight, come and join at 7 pm.
[02/05/20] I am reminded constantly from the enemy of how unworthy I am, how inadequate I am, how bad I have been, how bad I am. He constantly reminds me that I don't act like others, i don't look like others nor talk like others, so I must not have what others have. He tells me I will never succeed, I shouldnt even try. He tells me my life is empty and holds no value, importance or even meaning. The enemy continues to remind me that i should quit, give up and give in. Some times it's overwhelming, but...(what a powerful little word that is). But cancels out ever thing previously stated or said. I said all that because God says otherwise. God reminds me I need nothing more or less than Him. He reminds me...He is my Shepherd I shall not want. He reminds me I am much more then a conqueror. He reminds me that because of His death I have life and life more abundantly. He reminds me that should keep pressing forward and continues to assure and encourage me to that no matter what this world throws my way, He has a place of peace awaiting me when this journey is over. He reminds me that I have been created uniquely for His purpose and plan. Tonight reminded me tonight my enemy is a constant liar and my enemy's only desire is to assist and witness my failure. But God says rest in His strength and rely upon His power. He reminds me through Him I can do all things. Tonight He reminds me no sword shall prosper. I am remind because of Him I am what I am and I am not ashamed. I remind myself I need Him more tonight than even before and if the Lord tarries I need Him more tomorrow. I desire Him more now than ever. My prayer, desire, hope has been resolved, restored and renewed. My life is His and His alone. I am His and He is mine.
God is moving here at Grays Creek!! He showed up in a most powerful way this morning. I am excited to see what He is getting ready to do. Come join us tonight at 6 pm, again we will have a stirring from the Holy Spirit.
As I sit here watching the pile burn, I'm reminded of all the people that are spending eternity in hell. I also find myself asking why anyone would choose the lake of fire for their eternal home. To all saint...share the gospel with the lost...to the lost make heaven your home, accept Jesus as your Saviour and repent from your sins.
Paul wrote this book while sitting in prison in Rome. What caught my attention was the salute, made to all the saints but then called a certain group out, "household of Ceasar". The final leg of Paul's journey was to go to Rome and share the gospel, Acts 23:11. What encouraged me, was Paul's persistence and faithful to go into the belly of the beast and share the gospel. He was required to go in no mans land and reach some for the cause of Christ. Saying that to say this, verse 22 tells us he was successful (household of Ceasar). This is what it reminded me of, following the Lord and carrying the gospel leads us to places, that may seem to us, as unreachable but God needs us to go into those unreachable places because He has a plan. Sometimes we look, see and conclude there is no use, no one will listen, it's just a waste of time. Some will even tell you, you don't need to go there because it's to dangerous or it's of no use. Paul was told things like that to but he went. His love for God and people positioned him in places that seemed unreachable but he still went and shared the gospel. He was in hostile enemy territory will in Rome. He was faithful and successful in there as well. Our country seems to be our Rome now, some in the midst of this place, we too, should be faithful and reach those of the household of Ceasar. So go to your Rome and reach people with the gospel.
[01/13/20] Grays Creek is looking for a piano player and singers, if interested contact me at 910 536 7457
Does not matter how sinful you have been... no matter how destroyed your live has become...no matter how imprisoned you may be, just remember what Jeremiah wrote in these verses. Israel had sinned against God, they were in ruins and the people were led off into captivity but Jeremiah looks toward God not the situation around him. He remembered he had hope in God, that God grant's mercy and is full of compassion, and God is faithful. So put your trust in him for in Him is your hope.
[01/02/20] In Ps. 23:1..."The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want," I am reminded that His guidance, goodness, greatness and graciousness is all I need and outside of Him there isn't anything I need.
[11/28/19] 1 Thes. 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you... I have come to realize there is a big difference between for and in. As we look to this day as a day to give thanks, in which it should, Paul encourages us not to only be thankful for all those good things but also to be thankful in everything. Whether it's going our way or not, whether we are in the storms of life or not, whether we are struggling financially or not, whether we have or have not. Thankfulness should not just be based on how good we have it but rather how good God is.
[11/27/19] Grays Creek Church of God is looking for a piano player and someone to lead in worship, if you know of anyone that would be interested PM me.
[11/14/19] Walking around with the weight of the world causes ones steps to become shakey. So stop and place those burdens on the Lord and He will strengthen your walk. Ps. 55:22
[11/12/19] By the name of Jesus storms calm, winds cease, devil's flee and sinners are delivered
[11/08/19] The scripture states, "...if God be for you who can be against you." So walk in faith having confidence that God is in control. And be released from the anxieties that this world may throw at you.
[11/07/19] Our victory has came only by the blood of Jesus. By this blood releases us from the wages of our sins which offers only death
Our first response, may sometimes be as that of the disciples on the stormy sea..."Lord carest thou not that we perish" so many times in trials we feel alone, abandoned,
as if maybe God is far away or maybe He doesn't really care but during those times remember He will sit up and speak peace to your stromy seas when you call His name!
[11/06/19] Ps. 119:53...in Psalms 119 the writer makes reference to the Word of God in every verse. In verse 53 he speaks of folks forsaking the law of God. People today find every reason and excuse to dismiss, delude and distort His Word. As we witness this we should be in raged. The writer of this stated "horror hath taken hold..." which simply means he was enraged at it. Gods Word is to be loved and loved not deluded and dismissed.
