Mission: CTS Welcome Statement ALL are welcome to worship here. Whether you arrive on foot, on wheels, with some assistance, or in the company of a service animal, there will be someone to greet you and all who accompany you with a helping hand. Whether you are living year to year, day to day, or paycheck to paycheck, the coffee will be hot. Whether you are single, married, divorced, committed, gay, lesbian, straight, transgendered, or bisexual, the sanctuary doors will be open. Whether you come dressed in a kaftan, sari, sweater, kilt, chādor, jeans, kimono, or suit and tie, there will be a seat waiting for you. Whether English is your first or eighth language, you have spoken it from your first word or are still learning, the music and liturgy will speak to you. Whether you are just traveling through, have recently joined us, or helped establish our church decades ago, there will be friends waiting here for you. Whether your burdens are heavy or light, you are imprisoned or free, have sinned once or many times, the grace of God will be with you at the communion table through bread and wine or a blessing. Whether you find joy in crayons, music, fellowship, pancake suppers, or the gospel, you will find a celebration here. Whether you are not sure about church, have just been baptized, or grew up reciting the Lord’s Prayer and the creeds, there will be a lesson to challenge your thinking. Whether your talents include cooking, cleaning, reading, woodworking, driving, shopping, teaching, counseling, organizing, translating, or singing, there will be an opportunity to serve others. Whether you find yourself on this list or not, you are welcome here to celebrate, think, and serve.

A note from Bishop Graham, in response to recent events.

Pastor Carl and Marilyn have been in Ohio this past week. He served as family camp chaplain for Camp Mowana.

South Lakes High School PTSA

Can we get a big round of thanks and applause for Gabby, Anabeth, and Corbin who created artwork masterpieces and sold them to raise money for the SLHS Food Pantry - TWICE! Our community drives great things at South Lakes High School. And for those of you who are counting, we served 141 students last week - so these acts of kindness mean so much.

Quiet activity bags keep the little ones occupied until they head up front for the Children’s Sermon. Pastor Carl always has an insightful message for the CTS kids.

Pastor Carl was in Mansfield, OH last weekend to celebrate the 25th anniversary of worship services at Mt. Jeez. He was instrumental in starting this outdoor worship at Malabar State Park and was honored to return to preach on Sunday.

Rain for Rally Day...but we are having fun!

Celebrating 10 years as the longest serving pastor at Christ the Servant. Happy Anniversary, Pastor Carl!

It was a hot one, but great turnout on the plaza for National Night Out. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event a success!

[07/11/18]   The Cornerstones Backpack Drive is underway! You can help by donating backpacks, $25 Payless gift cards or new packs of kids underwear. If you prefer, you can donate money and the CTS youth will buy the backpacks for you! We will be collecting donations until August 5th. There will be a box in the church office for your donations.

Ode to Joy

God we thank thee for the service,
Joy has giv’n throughout the years.

As we say goodbye and Godspeed,
now we pause to shed some tears.

But we’re grateful for the guidance,
from this servant of your Word.

Solos, anthems, bells and chorus,
are her gifts we all have heard.

Joy you helped us worship God
and sing our prayers and praise to Him.

Now we lift our prayers to Heaven
on behalf of you and Jim.

Here we wish you health and wellness
as you start your life anew.

May you find a whole new way to
bless your Lord as He’s blessed you!
