Gay choice lifestyles & birth color issues are mutually exclusive issues. .... More at

I owe an apology. On the eve of this Independence Day, I have a renewed sense of what this country stands for, and how I personally could help achieve it. The promise of equality and freedom is one that all of us have to work for, at all times. I know this as a survivor of the Japanese American internment, which each day drives me only to strive harder to help fulfill that promise for future generations.

I recently was asked by a reporter about Justice Clarence Thomas’s dissent in the marriage equality cases, in which he wrote words that really got under my skin, by suggesting that the government cannot take away human dignity through slavery, or though internment. In my mind that suggested that this meant he felt the government therefore shouldn’t be held accountable, or should do nothing in the face of gross violations of dignity. When asked by a reporter about the opinion, I was still seething, and I referred to him as a “clown in blackface” to suggest that he had abdicated and abandoned his heritage. This was not intended to be racist, but rather to evoke a history of racism in the theatrical arts. While I continue to vehemently disagree with Justice Thomas, the words I chose, said in the heat of anger, were not carefully considered.

I am reminded, especially on this July 4th holiday, that though we have the freedom to speak our minds, we must use that freedom judiciously. Each of us, as humans, have hot-button topics that can set us off, and Justice Thomas had hit mine, that is clear. But my choice of words was regrettable, not because I do not believe Justice Thomas is deeply wrong, but because they were ad hominem and uncivil, and for that I am sorry.

I often ask fans to keep the level of discourse on this page and in comments high, and to remember that we all love this country and for what it stands. even if we often disagree passionately about how to achieve those goals. I did not live up to my own high standards in this instance.

I hope all of you have a wonderful, safe and joyously free July 4th, the first where all married couples in the U.S. can enjoy the full liberties of matrimony equally. It is truly a blessing to be an American today.

The Power of God's Love

Father in the name of your Son Jesus, I come before you to present this petition in supplication standing in the gap by intercessory for all Your people that are hurting for whatever reasons around the world and in particular for my local church body. Father Your Word said that we would suffer trials and tribulations in life but not to fear because You have overcome both to provide victory to Your people in whom have been are called by Your Name. I speak your Word of perfect peace, love, healing and financial success in every area of their lives to show Yourself big in their lives for their benefit and Your glory according to Your will and purpose. Let Your love heal the brokenhearted in life, love and marriage. Let Your Glory made as the healing source where there presently is no hope to those in need of a right now answer to their prayers. Let Your Holy Spirit reign supreme over the darkness of this world and in their lives to bring Your full light of joy, peace and happiness to real manifestation in their lives. Father I declare Your full Kingdom blessings in their lives without measure, restriction or impedance in a bounty of overflow in goodness, grace and mercy where its need right now in their lives. Father I know you see their tears, hear their prayers, feel their pain, see their brokenness, understand their disappointments and heartbreaks from the pain of Your own Son on the cross for our sins. Lord you are God and there none like You or any other name is above Your name that can do what is being asked here, so Lord let be done according to your will and purpose by word of this testimony, the power in blood of Your Son Jesus and Your Word which can not return void. Amen

Purgatory - What It Is & Is Not

The Catholic Catechism (Roman Catholic doctrine) generally defines purgatory as a place or condition of temporal punishment for those who died to achieve some type of a "purification and holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven." This is experienced by those "who die in God’s grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified" (CCC 1030).

In other words, purgatory is a more punishment for those who died in God's grace, but were not entirely free from their sins or have not fully paid the satisfaction due to their transgressions according the Catholic Church.

This concept is like a place for people not bad enough for hell, but not yet good enough for heaven so they are made to suffer more in purgatory until by some unknown measure their suffering and dues has been paid in purgatory their “purification and holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven" is completed.

However, like in many other Roman Catholic doctrines the Holy Bible does not teach or speak of purgatory or a location outside of hell for the unsaved in which that those that are saved by grace are sent to after death for additional suffering.

The New Testament sheds light on the condition of the dead proclaiming above all that Christ by his Resurrection conquered death and extended his liberating power to the kingdom of the dead.

Jesus died to pay the penalty for all of our sins (Romans 5:8). To say that we must also suffer for our sins is to say that Jesus’ suffering was insufficient. To say that we must atone for our sins by cleansing in purgatory is to deny the sufficiency of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus (1 John 2:2). The idea that we have to suffer for our sins after death is contrary to everything the Bible says about salvation.

Nevertheless redemption is offer of salvation which it is up to a person to accept freely. This is why they will all be judged "by what they [have done]" (Rv 20:13). The New Testament presents the place destined for evildoers as a fiery furnace, where people will "weep and gnash their teeth" (Mt 13:42; cf. 25:30, 41), or like Gehenna with its "unquenchable fire" (Mk 9:43). Explained as the designation of hell a place of eternal suffering, with no possibility of return, nor of the alleviation of pain (cf. Lk. 16:19-3 1).

The Book of Revelation also figuratively portrays in a "pool of fire" those who exclude themselves from the book of life, thus meeting with a "second death" (Rv. 20:13f.). Whoever continues to be closed to the Gospel and ultimately salvation by grace is preparing for eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might (2 Thes 1:9).

Be careful in whom and what you believe ALWAYS checking and using the Holy Bible as your source.

The Power of Words

Often its not what other people say or think about you that keeps you from higher goals, accomplishments or your appointed destiny. Rather it's the thoughts and words you allow to be spoken over and about you that have the greatness influence in due course that keep you from your appointed destiny. It's not what is said about you that matters inasmuch as it's what you believe to be true in what is said about without the foundation of truth that has the greatest impact. This is why it's important to guard your heart, eye and ear gates from what Satan has declared his mission in your seek, kill and destroy you by whatever means necessary and sometimes from sources that you least expect.

Taking Authority and Responsibility over Truth Faith, Believing, Tongues, Holy Spirit, Truth

Father in the name of Jesus, I look carefully as to how I walk, to whom followed and lend my ear. Man has many clever devices that at times come in Shepard's clothing. I am determined to live purposefully, worthily and accurately to your Word and not man's devices true to my calling, not unwise and witless. As a wise, sensible, intelligent person desiring more then milk from babies for babies, I rather seek meat making to most of my time and seeking every opportunity to gain Godly wisdom in life's affairs. Amen

On earth the Lord God controls the rage of the wicked just like the rage of sea. His love easily refreshes the disappointed, broken and seeking with His mercy as the earth with showers. Majesty gleams in the Lord amid the calamity and rage in the tempest of horrors. The Lord is seen in the fall of empires and thrones for his purpose and His name sake. In all our conflicts, disagreements and tribulations behold the hand of the divide King God.

True civil intelligent discourse allows and values those who disagree as well those who agree with a position, issue or matter. Being able to gain support on the merits of any single discourse is prize worth seeking where truth always matters.

[06/30/14]   Regardless what side supported in the Hobby Lobby case today's ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court in favor of Hobby Lobby is a win for all business entities that can hold a valid God supported view that is legal in terms of the court's view. This ruling and view by the court should likewise apply to Christian bakers, photographers and other businesses that support God's views against forced gay choice lifestyles in the operation of their businesses.

Recently observed like many others in attendance an interesting altar call wherein the preacher said..."I am looking for three people to respond." Three people in fact did respond, but it was clear from the chatter during the call that these folks knew each other in this carefully orchestrated altar call. Real faith is not does not involve the manufacturing or prearrangement by agreement for certain people to respond to an altar call all because a preacher may feel incompetent or incomplete. Not only does it reflect badly upon the preacher and other parties involved in this trickery for this church body, it's also an affront to God, Jesus and the people observing such antics. Altar calls in any church or setting is a very special time in lives people that respond by act and move of the Holy Spirit, not the trickery of man lest any one should boast. Rev. Dr. Ronald E.
