The Well of Hope

“The Place Where the Word is Prioritized, the Weary are Revitalized, and All Realize that God Is.”

The Well of Hope is a united body of believers advancing the Kingdom and the people of our community by serving as a house of worship, safe haven and demonstration of charity to all. DaRon W. Dixon, M. Div Lead Pastor Elders: Nouchelle Hastings Ministers: Ian Alonzo-Edward Dixon Dr. Gwendolyn Carter Stewards: Oliver A. Hastings, Chief Steward We envision the cultivation of a community of believers who will allow the living water of Christ to spring up out of them that others may encounter and be empowered by it. We shall accomplish this task through true and transparent worship, powerful and purposeful prayer, creative and innovative services, liberating and life giving teaching and a fluid and organic fellowship.

Mission: To lovingly present the living water of Christ to others that they may become empowered persons who replicate Christ in all that they do in their worship, work and witness throughout the church, community and world.--Matthew 28:18-20

After many calls and text messages about the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, I really got to thinking and it dawned on me that this Hurricane really has affected so many, in so many ways but more specifically financially. I know that all financial advisors/counselors say we should have a certain amount saved for an emergency. But what happens as you are almost at the end of the year and the EMERGENCY funds doesn't look as large as it did? Or the EMERGENCY exceeds the reserve? Perhaps you are one of those who are making just enough and the Hurricane took you outside of the scope of your budget. I started thinking about those who if they don't work, they don't get paid. Due to the storm, they couldn't work. Those who had to evacuate because their lives were in danger. Ministries and Churches who NEED the weekly intake to meet budget. Those businesses that were relying on a certain mark for the week, the mom and pop stores who lost much, the small businesses that couldn't many others. I say all this knowing in a perfect situation, we should all be financially not living week to week or check to check. But the reality is, it's hard out here!!! The economy is better for some yet challenging for others.

Hurricane Irma has really pricked my heart and altered my prayer life. I am praying for immediate increase in ppl lives, access to more emergency resources for all those who are being challenged from the affects of the storm, I am praying that those who can, will be a blessing and BE the arms and feet of God, I am praying for recovery and restoration: believing that what's coming will be greater than the former, I am praying for every Pastor, who is trying to figure this thing out on how they are going to respond to needs, yet pay those bills, I am praying for understanding from bill collectors, I am praying for those who are quietly suffering(I am asking that God will send someone to hear their cry), I am praying for those who used ALL they had for this month and are afraid of what's to come the first of the next, I am praying for those who had to put so many things on hold because of the storm, I am praying for parents who have no where for their kid(s) to go because schools are closed, I am praying for every kid who is traumatized from the encounter, I am praying for these kids safety as they are out of school and once they return, I am praying for those who due to the storm don't feel like going on or think they can and I am praying that God will show us God and ourselves from this storm. This is my heart and hope.......Ase' & Amen -DWD

RCA Mourns the Loss of Tony Campbell | Reformed Church in America The Reformed Church in America is mourning the loss of Tony Campbell, the denomination’s associate general secretary and director of mission engagement. Campbell passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, July 18.

Many have asked me about what I have been up to. Well, as of this past Friday, I am now officially a free agent. Yes, I'm currently in transition and open to opportunities. With Gods help, I was able to serve within the Florida Classis of Reformed Church in America Denomination for 12 years. I gave the work in Orlando 7 years with the last 2 years being split between two cities(Orlando & Miami) and two churches(TWOH & NDCC).

I want to thank every person, ministry and/or group for all your help and love over the last 7 years of serving. Thank you to all team members, partners and supporters. As I shift, I do so eager for the next assignment. God has blessed me tremendously over my short 20 years of official ministry. I have served in Miami, Atlanta and Orlando. I have helped plant several churches, planted two as lead pastor, supported many and revitalized several. Above all things, the community work has been my most fulfilling piece. With that I have been blessed to touch many lives and affect change in an area.

Family and friends, I ask that you keep me in your prayers! Also, if we have worked together in some shape, form or fashion drop a line for a brother to let me share love on you specifically and personally. #transition #itisanewseason #seedsintheground #itsworking

[07/10/14]   Proverbs 20:14-15(KJV):
14 It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.
15 There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

Dear heavenly Father, we desire to be like You so we are asking You to help us to be honest in all of our dealings with others. May we be concerned about the other party when we purchase something and not just look on what is always advantageous to us. Help us to overcome selfishness. Lord, help us to control the things that we speak and speak things that are kind and edifying. Deliver us from anger and resentment and let us keep a forgiving attitude when others wrong us. Lord, we are trusting You to vindicate us when others take advantage of us. Lord, we just do not want to be the ones guilty of taking advantage of another. Help us to always be fair and honest in our dealings. I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

[07/09/14]   It's time to whisper a prayer unto God; how may we touch and agree with you? We are praying at noon.

[07/08/14]   Proverbs 20:13(KJV):
13 Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for Your kindness toward me in working with me to overcome the areas of my life that need more discipline. I do want a prayer life that is pleasing to You. Help me in this endeavor. Correct those areas in my life that would hinder me from spending more time with You. Grant me the grace to overcome any laziness that tempts me. Fill me with Your Spirit this day and let me be a blessing in this life to all I come in contact with. I ask this in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Dear heavenly Father, we thank you that You have given us the Bible so that we might receive godly wisdom and learn how to live by it. Lord, we know that by following Your advice, we will be saved from much heartache in this world. Help us to walk in the Spirit so that we will have Your discernment as to the things we should, and should not do. Guide us by Your Holy Spirit in all of our affairs. Help us to overcome any tendencies toward anger, as we do not want to become angry men and women. Let us be gentle and forgiving in our dealings with others. We ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
