I have felt impressed to share with you a message on November 20, 2020, from 11:00 to 11:15 a.m. MST. It will be broadcast here on my page, as well as on ChurchofJesusChrist.org and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints YouTube account in multiple languages.

Brothers and Sisters,
This is a reminder that our missionaries have invited ward members/families to send them a video with you and/or your family sharing your musical talents. They need these videos by October 24th. They will share these videos during a "digital talent show" on October 31st via their page. This is a great and easy way to help our missionaries spread the gospel via social media. Please contact the missionaries with any questions.
We will have a virtual Primary lesson tomorrow from1:45 pm to 2 pm for the CTR 6/7 and Valiant 9/10 classes. Sister Bachura emailed out the link earlier this week.
We will then have Relief Society and Aaronic Priesthood Quorum Meetings at 2 pm. Links will be sent out soon if they haven't already.
REMINDER! We are back to church as an entire ward tomorrow!! 10 am. Wear a mask. We will have fast and testimony meeting! Ushers will be there to greet and seat your family as you enter the building.
And in celebration of everyone meeting together for the first time in nearly 7 months, please enjoy this video!
We hope to see you there!

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I pray that each of you are doing well and were able to enjoy stake conference today! I am looking forward to General Conference next weekend. It is a wonderful blessing to be able to hear from our leaders, especially during this time in our country and world.
I have some good news to share! We have received additional guidance and direction regarding sacrament meetings. Beginning on Sunday, October 11th, our entire ward will begin meeting together for sacrament meeting instead of dividing up by groups. We will still be following the same safety protocols and precautions as we have been following the last several weeks. Families will still be ushered in and out one at a time. We will open up the overflow section so that we are able to still keep the distance of at least one open pew in between each family. Masks will still be required. And the Aaronic Priesthood brethren will still be following the same procedures that we previously set in place to make the administration of the sacrament as safe as possible. I have been truly grateful for the cooperation of our ward members with these additional restrictions, and I am confident we will be able to meet as an entire ward while still abiding by all of these guidelines.
Because of this change, please note that the administration of the sacrament is no longer authorized at home. The bishop must authorize the sacrament to be administered outside of sacrament meeting, and, per church policy, this authorization is generally only given in very limited circumstances, such as long-term health issues. Due to the extenuating circumstances of the last 6 months, I authorized worthy priesthood holders to administer the sacrament at home and for ministering brothers to administer it in homes without a worthy priesthood holder. Now that our entire ward will be able to attend sacrament meeting each week, this authorization is no longer necessary.
If you have a specific physical health issue in your family that prevents you from attending at this time, or if you minister to someone who is in this situation, please contact me directly to seek authorization to perform the sacrament at home. We will also live stream most of sacrament meeting for those who are unable to attend due to specific health problems.
Sacrament meeting will continue to start at 10 am, but we will go back to the hour long meeting format as opposed to 45 minutes like we have been doing the last several weeks. Additional details will be forthcoming about regular "2nd hour" virtual meetings starting later in October. Stay tuned!
We are encouraging all who are physically able to come back to church! The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve are concerned about the membership of the church and feel it is time to start gathering again each week with social distancing and other protocols in place. Consistent with their direction and the direction of our stake presidency, we invite each family that doesn't have a physical health issue to begin attending sacrament meeting again on October 11th.
I love you, brothers and sisters, and pray for you regularly. I look forward to being together as an entire ward for the first time since March! Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
[09/24/20] Jennifer Yates and Cindy Stevic would like to put together a scrapbook for Geraldine. She's such a special lady and could really use some cheer right now. If you'd like to participate, please send any pictures and/or sweet thoughts for her to me or Jenny and we'll put them together for her. Please send these asap to my email @ [email protected]
[09/19/20] REMINDER: Tomorrow's sacrament meeting is at 10 am for Group 1 (A through Nebeker). See you there!
Brothers and Sisters,
As a reminder, we will hold sacrament meeting for the Group 2 (Nelson through Yingling) tomorrow at 10 am. Please note that due to additional direction we have received from the stake presidency, we will not be streaming sacrament meeting at the present time. However, in accordance with new guidelines from the First Presidency and our Area President, we hope to be able to provide a way for all families to begin attending sacrament meeting every week in the near future. I will let you know the details as soon as we have a plan in place.
Have a wonderful Sabbath day, Brothers and Sisters!
This Sunday, September 6th, we will continue holding our limited sacrament meetings. The assigned group for this Sunday is Group 1 (A through Nebeker). Please remember that masks are required for everyone ages 2 and up.
Additionally, we will begin live streaming our sacrament meetings so that those in the other Group, as well as those who are not able to attend at all due to specific health issues, can be a part of the meeting. We will be streaming all of the meeting with the exception of the ordinance of the sacrament, which will be done at the end of the meeting. Those families that watch the live stream and that have an authorized priesthood holder in the home are encouraged to administer the sacrament at home after the live stream is ended, or, at another time during the day.
Ward members will receive an email with information about how to connect to the live stream.
We look forward to worshipping together as an entire ward this Sunday, with some at the church and others watching from home!
[08/30/20] Reminder: No sacrament meeting for either group tomorrow. We will, however, hold a virtual Primary Program at 11 am. Link was previously emailed to the ward by Sister Waldron, our Primary President. Hope to see you there!
[08/22/20] REMINDER: Sacrament meeting starts at 10 am tomorrow for the second group (Nelson through Yingling). Please remember to wear a mask and follow the direction of the ushers as you enter and exit the building. We look forward to seeing you there!
Dear Ward Family,
Beginning this Sunday, August 16th, we will begin holding sacrament meetings again. As previously announced, we have divided the ward into two groups. Group 1 will consist of last names beginning with A through Nebeker and will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays (beginning August 16th). Group 2 will consist of last names from Nelson through Yingling and will meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays (beginning August 23rd). A plan for the 5th Sunday this month will be announced soon.
Sacrament meeting will last from 10 am to 10:45 am. There are no second hour meetings.
Here are a few reminders from the previous email I sent regarding procedures that we must follow:
1) All persons ages 2 and older MUST wear masks in accordance with the recent ordinance in Orange County. Once the county lifts this restriction, then we will require masks at church for all persons ages 8 and up.
2) If a family is sick or has been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, please stay home!
3) Members will be escorted by ushers into the chapel one at a time. Please follow the direction of the ushers. Each family must be seated so that there is at least one row in between in each family. The ONLY entrance that will be open to enter the building will be the North foyer entrance (same side where our ward's bishop and clerk offices are located). At the end of the meeting, each family will again be escorted out of the building by the ushers one at a time.
4) Please NO congregating in the building or parking lot after the meeting. Also, please do not hug, shake hands, etc. I know this will be difficult, but we must adhere to these protocols for the time being!
We understand that not every family will feel comfortable returning this Sunday due to various factors. Please seek the guidance of the Spirit for your family if you have concerns about returning to church meetings right now.
I look forward to seeing you back at church!

Brothers and Sisters,
After much counseling and prayer, the Stake Presidency feels strongly that we need to push back our start date for beginning sacrament meetings, especially given the rising number of COVID cases in our county. Our new target start date is now August 16th. I will be sure to keep the ward posted as I receive new information to share.
We will likely hold a ward virtual meeting later this month. We will send a message with the date and time once we determine when it will occur.
Please take care and stay safe.

The Virtue of the Word of God
churchofjesuschrist.org July 6–12. Alma 30–31: “The Virtue of the Word of God”
Dear Ward Family,
I'm happy to announce that we have a tentative plan to begin holding limited sacrament meetings later this month. As we are limited to no more than 99 attendees each week, we have divided the ward into two groups. Group 1 will consist of last names beginning with A through Nebeker and will meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays (beginning July 19th). Group 2 will consist of last names from Nelson through Yingling and will meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays (beginning July 26th). A plan for the 5th Sunday in August will be announced at a later time. These return dates will depend on a couple of factors, including any new guidance we receive from our Area Presidency between now and then.
There are several important items that I want each family to be aware of, so please read the following details carefully:
1) No family should feel obligated to return to church this month. Every family has a different set of circumstances. Families should make the decision whether to return individually and with the guidance of the Holy Ghost. We recognize that some families will feel comfortable returning, while others won't for various reasons. We support whatever decision your family makes about returning to church this month. For those families who decide not to return to church this month, I am still authorizing the sacrament to be administered in homes on Sundays by those brethren who were previously authorized to do so.
2) Members over the age of 65 and/or members who are immunocompromised are encouraged to remain home for the time being.
3) If you are sick or have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, please stay home!
4) All persons ages 2 and older MUST wear masks in accordance with the recent ordinance in Orange County. Once the county lifts this restriction, then we will require masks at church for all persons ages 8 and up.
5) The building will be cleaned thoroughly before and after meetings. Our regular Saturday cleaning assignments (alternating between the two wards) have already resumed. Additionally, we will be cleaning certain parts of the building both before and after each sacrament meeting. Members of the Ward Council have been assigned to do this cleaning for the first couple of Sundays, after which, we will make assignments to other members.
6) There will be no hymn books. Singing will be limited to one verse of the sacrament hymn. Please bring an electronic device if you would like to be able to read the words or music.
7) Members will be escorted by ushers into the chapel one at a time.
8) Please NO congregating in the building or parking lot after the meeting. Also, please do not hug, shake hands, etc. I know this will be difficult, but we must adhere to these protocols for the time being!
9) Extra measures will be taken to minimize the spreading of germs during the preparation and administration of the sacrament. If you have concerns about this, please talk to a member of the bishopric, and we can provide you the details.
10) The meeting will start promptly at 10 am and end by 10:45 am.
Please know that a great deal of thought and planning have gone into this at both the stake and ward levels, but if you have specific concerns, we are happy to discuss those with you. And again, we do not want anyone to feel obligated to return on the tentative dates mentioned above. Please use the guidance of the Spirit in making the decision that is right for your family at this time.
Lastly, there will be no virtual meetings this month for Elders Quorum or Relief Society. There will be a combined virtual lesson for all youth next Sunday, July 12th at 11 am.
We look forward to seeing some of you later this month! Take care, and stay safe!
