Chosen Generation

Chosen Generation is a youth ministry, in Orlando Florida established by the Free Methodist Church of Orlando. We welcome all teens to learn, grow & serve!

We hope to nurture and encourage the youth in our community to live as God commanded: Loving the Lord God with all your heart, and loving your neighbor as yourself. This direction is taken by teaching the youth about scripture, the holy trinity, being part of the body of Christ, and their social action duty. Every quarter we conduct at least one event to help our community. If you would like more information about the organizations we are helping or would like us to volunteer at your organization, please contact us at [email protected]. Donations are welcomed!

Mission: 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light

Come join us (or send your children) if you're within the ages of 12-18 to our Movie Night this Saturday August 30, 2014 at 6pm. It will be a great chance to socialize and make new friends in a positive atmosphere! Free drink and popcorn!! There will also be raffle prizes!!! Hope to see you there!

Today the youth volunteered at Clean the World in Downtown; helping them sort through hotel soaps and other hygiene products to be sanitized and distributed to our local homeless, and underprivileged countries. As they discovered how many deaths occur in children a year due to infections that could have been prevented through soap and water- it was surely an eyeopener that even soap is a blessing! Visit their site if you are interested in donating or volunteering! #glorifyingGodwithourhands

[04/06/14]   The youth would like to congratulate the Pastoral family once again for two more additions to the family! Twins Jayden and Jeremiah Ramirez were born on Wednesday Apr 2. We pray for a speedy recovery for mom and lots of strength and love for the newborns!

On Saturday the youth visited the Russell Home for Atypical Children and delivered donations they have been gathering throughout the past month. For their first drive they did exceptionally well collecting bags of clothing, boxes of food, hygiene products, and even a monetary donation! Before leaving, the youth also engaged in arts and crafts activities with the children, helping them make Easter baskets! Thank you to everyone who has helped support them during their project for the Russell Home. They are truly learning and growing!

We are still collecting donations for the Russell Home through Sunday. We would like Wednesdays meeting to sort the donations but if you cannot make it by Sunday we will take it on Wednesday. Drop off boxes are in the churches foyer. Thank you!

[03/04/14]   The youth would like to congratulate the pastoral family for the newest addition to their family, Ivannah Sophia Grullon, who was born Saturday evening. Welcome to the world!

Congratulations to Rachel for being awarded the Certificate of Excellence for supporting her group and positive approach!

Congratulations to Krystal for receiving the Certificate of Appreciation award for this quarter. We appreciate your exemplary attitude!

Today the youth had their first "Youth Night Out", playing miniature golf, feeding gators, and having pizza! Their hard work does not go unnoticed and we are happy to reward them! Thank you all who have supported them!

The Russell Home Tour

Yesterday our youth had the privilege to tour the Russell Home for Atypical Children in Orlando. They have been operating for over 50 years free of charge to the children's families on private funding, without the governments support. It was a great learning experience of how faith, love and dedication have greatly benefited these children in our community. Our youth have decided they want to help gather essential items for the Russell Home and for the next month they have broken up into teams to gather food, cleaning supplies, clothes, and monetary/gift card donations to show our support and admiration for what they do. If you would like to help us gather items or would like to make a donation directly to them, please contact us for more information at [email protected]. For more information on the Russell Home here is a video tour.
