Wycliffe’s vision is for people from every language to understand the Bible and be transformed. For nearly 75 years, Wycliffe has helped people around the world translate the Bible into their own languages.
We also help with language development, literacy and other spiritual and physical needs. Wycliffe USA is part of a Global Alliance of organizations partnering all around the world. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us — something that everyone should be able to understand in their own language. But over 1,600 languages around the world are still waiting for a translation project to begin. That’s why Wycliffe Bible Translators exists — to help these remaining languages get the Bible for themselves. And we won’t stop until all people have God’s Word in a language they understand.
Mission: To see a Bible translation program in progress in every language still needing one by 2025.

“The moment God spoke to me was April 2, 2013,” Paulo said. “After hearing the Word of God for two days, I was asked if I am saved or not. I knew my answer was ‘no.’” But God spoke to Paulo in that moment and changed his heart. “I felt the burden I was carrying was lifted,” he said. “That very day the Word of God started to make sense.”
Paulo was a nominal Christian who joined the Rangi translation team because of the prestige it gave him in his community in Tanzania. Then one day, God opened his eyes to see what Christ had done for him and it changed his life.
You can partner with Paulo and other leaders like him who are working to reach the remaining Bibleless people groups in Tanzania: https://bit.ly/36e4Hyo
It was originally thought that the Saare people of Nigeria could understand a neighboring language well enough that they didn’t need their own Bible translation. But when the other language community received their New Testament and the “JESUS” film, we discovered that the Saare people needed their own.
Now that they have seen the impact of God’s Word in the neighboring language, they greatly desire the same for themselves. “Any time I am reading the words of Jesus in the Gospels,” a man in a nearby community said, “I hear as if it is Jesus speaking to me directly, because it is in my language.”
As Scripture is translated into other languages in Nigeria, people have begun to understand God’s Word in ways they never have before. The Saare are anticipating how God will work in their own community.
The us-Saare translation team is working now to translate the Gospel of Luke — the very first portion of God’s Word in their language! For the first time, the Saare will meet Jesus through Scripture in a language that speaks to their hearts.
With your gift today you can partner with the Saare as they translate and publish the first portion of Scripture in their language. Learn more by visiting https://bit.ly/38j85dU.

Meet the Saare people. They live in western Nigeria, on the edge of the spiritual battleground between Christianity in the south and another major world religion in the north. Only around 30% are Christian, and they face continual pressure and opposition because of their faith.
Believers need the encouragement and strength found in God’s Word as they seek to share the gospel with others — but there’s no Scripture published in the us-Saare language.
You can help change that! As part of Wycliffe’s 2020 Giving Tuesday campaign, your gift will help provide the translated Word of God in print, audio and digital text formats so it can have the greatest reach and impact.
The local church will grow deep and wide as people connect with God’s Word in a language and format they understand. You’ll provide support for believers so they can grow in their faith and share the gospel with others who don’t yet know Christ.

“Ethan and I have prayed every Saturday for several years now — we've prayed a lot of different things for them, actually the printed New Testament is just a small part of those prayers. … We pray that their young men will be faithful, their young women strong in faith, their financial needs met, that they could be 'blessed to be a blessing' and for holiness and joy in their walk with Jesus. We pray that if the national language will speak to their hearts, that they will go deep in that, and that God's Word will be living and life-changing — that they will really meet Jesus. It’s been a joy and a privilege to pray for them.” — Queena, Bibleless Peoples Prayer Project partner.

Yay, it’s Friyay and I get to tell y’all about this year’s 𝟹𝟶 𝘋𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘋𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦.
If you’ve participated in the past you know our goal is to come together as a community to live out our gratitude as we head into the holidays, instead of merely expressing it with memes and quotes.
For close to two decades you, my dear friends, have reached out to the less fortunate with me by raising money for worthy projects here in our country and beyond. Together, we’ve dug a water well that continues to supply life sustaining water to an entire village. We’ve helped build an orphanage with my daughter’s non profit, and we’ve worked to see children enjoy the life-changing benefits of sponsorship through Compassion International. Yes, YOU, have done all of that, whether your gift was large or small. In preparation for this year’s announcement, I found this quote we used several years back:
𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴. 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘫𝘰𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥, 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳. ~𝘚𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘦 𝘙𝘶𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘰𝘮𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘯

Let’s celebrate! 700 communities around the world now have the full Bible in a language they can clearly understand! 🙌
The Bible is one of the oldest and most popular books of all time. But is it just a book, or is it much more?
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us — something that everyone should be able to understand in their own language. But more than 1,600 languages* around the world are still waiting for a translation project to begin.
When people finally get the Bible in their own language, lives often change in amazing ways. People are transformed as they are led to Jesus Christ and a right relationship with God.
That’s why Wycliffe Bible Translators exists — to help speakers of these remaining languages get the Bible for themselves. And we won’t stop until all people have God’s Word in a language they understand.
