Being Church- a reminder that church is more than a building. Join us Sunday for a free brunch @ 10 & casual worship @ 10:31 What do YOU think of when you hear the word, “church”?

For centuries, it has conjured images of steepled structures from cathedrals to chapels. There's nothing wrong with steeples; but from its earliest days, the REAL meaning of church has had nothing to do with buildings. Church is people of all walks of life connecting with God and one another through faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If “going to church” has been crossed off your ”to do” list (or was never on it), but you’re still searching for those connections, why not experience some time with people who are learning to BE “church”, learning to love as God loves us? Right now, there’s no need for structures; no steeples… just Jesus and people

Friends, India's COVID-19 cases have surged to more than 20 million reported in this second wave.

Our international team has told us that many of our local partners and their families are battling the illness. Some are in critical condition and need oxygen. Two have already passed.

Please join us as we pray and fast for India this Friday, May 7. Throughout the day, we'll be sharing prayer requests from India in our prayer app. Tap here to download: https://bit.ly/3nOqvJr

Together, "let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need" (Heb. 4:16).

St. Vincent Island suffered a catastrophic volcanic eruption, which blanketed the region in ash and forced thousands to evacuate their homes.

In the wake of this tragedy, Send Relief is partnering with Southern Baptists on the ground to offer emergency food boxes, health care and hygiene supplies for displaced evacuees.

It is always special when the different groups of Being Church hang out & worship Together once each month.
It is ESPECIALLY awesome when we are celebrating the reason the Church exists: because Jesus Christ proved that He is the Son of God & only Savior of the world by rising from the dead!
Let's enjoy the LIFE He has come to share with us this Easter Sunday. Everyone is welcome, and we're going to be meeting in a new location, thanks to the hospitality of Runway Events. You won't want to miss it!

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR N. AMERICAN MISSIONS:
DAY 8-
"Being a missionary is never easy. Whenever
Christians answer the call to go to the mission field,
they expect to encounter challenges, but no one
could have planned for a global pandemic that
would bring the world grinding to a halt.

Even so, I’m grateful to say that Southern Baptist
missionaries have continued to see the mission
move forward. By the grace and power of God,
they did not stop when the pandemic restrictions
went into place.

They changed course, innovated and discovered
ways to continue sharing the gospel and making
disciples. When needs in local communities arose,
these missionaries stepped up to bring material
help and eternal hope.

As these missionaries continue to reach North
America for Christ, we pray that the coronavirus
pandemic has opened doors for ministry that may
have never opened without such a major crisis.
Our missionaries have displayed courage and
vision to persist and even thrive in the midst of
great challenges."-
Kevin Ezell
President, N. American Mission Board

PLEASE PRAY...
That times of crisis have opened new doors to
the Gospel.
That they, and we, would not grow weary in sharing
the Gospel.
How God would have you invest in the Annie Armstrong Offering for N. American Missions

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR N. AMERICAN MISSIONS:
DAY 7

People in Sanger, California, are searching for relief from a systemic cycle of poverty, drug-and-alcohol abuse and violent crime. Many of them look at their situation as a lost cause. It’s a feeling missionary Jacob Zailian knows all too well. He was trapped in the same cycle before he was arrested. It was in prison where he came to faith in Christ. He’s back on the streets of Sanger, but now he and his wife, Francine, are committed to a "hands on" ministry of sharing the eternal hope they’ve found in Christ. #AAEO21

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR N. AMERICAN MISSIONS:
DAY 6
Bobby and LaKeisha Williams have a simple goal—to
meet the deep need of New Orleans with the even
deeper love of Christ.
In the city, some buildings are still boarded up from
Hurricane Katrina in 2005. The area around the
Williamses’ church plant is predominantly African
American and low-income. “A lot of what we strive
to do is provide resources,” Bobby said. “We try to
educate people spiritually, financially, intellectually,
you name it.”
That’s how their church—Next Level Church—got
its name. They want to see people take their life
to the next level starting right where they are. The
church provides its neighbors with multiple forms
of assistance from health fairs to meal distribution,
all with the goal of creating community and leading
them to Jesus.
“Despite the challenges we’ve been able to make an
impact, and we want to do even more,” Bobby said.

PLEASE PRAY...
For Bobby and LaKeisha to persevere in ministry.
For the church’s compassion ministries to open doors
to share the Gospel.

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR N AMERICAN MISSIONS:
DAY 5
Joshua Valdez says his city is a place of emotional
and spiritual darkness. It’s a melting pot of culture
and religion. Its residents are mostly Hispanic and
Navajo, and the Navajo are very much “a forgotten
people,” said Joshua, who also has both heritages.
The people have one common struggle—they often
battle feelings of despair or worthlessness.
He observes that as a church planter and at his job as an intervention specialist at a local high school.
“I see the hopelessness of the youth,” he said. “Most
of them are coming from really rough situations.”

But many have grown to trust Joshua and visit his
church plant, Higher Ground Church. During youth
group gatherings there, he intentionally teaches the
Bible verse by verse. Many are hearing it for the first
time, and it’s changing their lives.

PLEASE PRAY TODAY...
For more students to join Joshua’s Bible studies.
For the members of Higher Ground Church to be a
light to their community

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR N AMERICAN MISSIONS:
DAY 4
Moving from Denver to a small town they had never
heard of in Idaho was not in Anders’ and Jessica’s
plans. But it fit where they felt the Holy Spirit was
guiding them—to help a dying church come back to
life and reach its community.
In 2018, they launched the replant of Calvary Church
Nampa. The neighborhoods around the once-vibrant
church are now aging and declining with a mix
of Anglo and Hispanic residents. Drugs are a big
problem—so are poverty and depression.
With a strategic outreach to get to know and serve
their neighbors, the Snyders are seeing God move.
More than 100 are now worshipping and growing in
faith together.
“We’re reclaiming ground that was already once won
for the kingdom. It tells the story of a resurrected
Christ in that the church can come back from the
dead,” Anders said.

PLEASE PRAY...
For the Snyders to have wisdom in how best to serve
and reach their community.
For neighbors to be drawn to the hope of the Gospel.

WEEK OF PRAYER FOR N. AMERICAN MISSIONS:
Day 3
What would it look like if God called you from Brazil to be a missionary to the United States?

Missionaries Victor and Ludmila Moura had a comfortable life in Brazil until God called them to plant a church in the New England area of the United States. More than 450,000 Brazilians live there – and less than 3% have an active faith in Christ.

Pray for the Mouras as they meet needs, build relationships and share the gospel with second and third generation Brazilians in their community.

Your generosity IS making a difference!

Nine pastors in one African nation were deeply troubled by the severe hunger needs in their communities, especially among the orphans, widows and the destitute. People were starving, and they longed to help.

They decided to partner with Send Relief to provide hunger relief to those hurting in their churches and throughout surrounding villages. Each pastor distributed food, ultimately impacting over 1,300 people.

As a result of their compassion, 104 people came to faith!

When you give to Send Relief, you are funding evangelistic efforts all over the world.

Thank you, Being Church! Your generosity is making a difference in desperate times with our mission partners @sendrelief

A major refugee camp in Greece was burnt down, spilling nearly 15,000 refugees into the streets without food or shelter. Shortly after the camp began rebuilding, a flooding crisis worsened an already tragic situation.

Thanks to the giving of Send Relief donors, our ministry partners were able to care for the refugees in need of a miracle.

Your gifts allowed our partners to provide food, temporary shelter, clothing, and hygiene products to get through the crisis. Also, we were able to provide a group of children with coloring books and other activities as a form of trauma care.
