On Sunday 8/16, Hopesters gathered via Zoom to ordain and install Frederick Duron and Christina Ganley to the class of 2023. Trained by Nancy through videos, reading and Zoom conversations, they were examined by the Session in late July. Christina and Frederick responded to the constitutional questions (as did members of the congregation) before they knelt and donned the cape featuring handprints of elders and pastors who prayerfully submitted them over the previous weeks. Artisan Tammy Strogis created the capes -- with handprints in red, orange and yellow to symbolize the coming of the Holy Spirit, arrayed on a field of Presbyterian blue. It was a beautiful morning!
