FamilyLife is a ministry passionate about finding and fueling tribes of families who want to impact their world for Christ. In 1976, the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (now called Cru) saw young couples on staff struggling and knew something must be done.

Immediately. Forty-plus years later, with over 3 million people attending events, 1.6 million weekly radio listeners, and resources in over 100 countries, we’re ready to help even more. But it’s not about numbers for us. Unless we’re talking about the number 1. Helping one family and one relationships at a time. Making God number one in each life, each home, each day. Knowing there’s only one family like yours.

[10/01/19]   Together We Go Further

Years ago Dawn and I heard an African proverb that changed our perspective on missions. It is Alone we go faster, but together we go further. We thought about that proverb two weeks ago when a major decision by our Board and leadership to relocate FamilyLife’s headquarters to Cru’s world HQ in Orlando, FL was announced to the entire staff. The relocation will take place by Summer 2020.

Campus Crusade for Christ International, known as Cru in the U.S., began in 1951 as a campus ministry. Today, Cru is parent to dozens of ministries including FamilyLife, Athletes in Action, Military, Christian Embassy, Global Aid, Josh McDowell to name a few. All Cru ministries have the same passion - to win, build, and send Christ-centered multiplying disciples.

A relocation to Orlando will help FamilyLife in four key ways: Capability. Cru will provide FamilyLife with the technology infrastructure needed to reach more homes faster. Collaboration. We will have a better opportunity to connect and engage with our global partners through deeper collaboration with Cru Global. Funding. We want to free up up ongoing operating expenses so that as much money that comes into FamilyLife can be stewarded towards reaching the world for Christ through families and marriages. People. Approximately 35% of our staff will be at retirement age in the next five years. A move to our parent HQ will open up pipelines we need to continue our mission for decades to come.

FamilyLife considers our role leading the Mobilization team within Human Resources as mission-critical to the ministry and has asked us to move to Orlando. We’ve sought the Lord in this decision, and are excited to report that our family will move to Orlando in May 2020!

Thank you for your friendship, your prayers, and for walking with us as we trust God in this next phase for FamilyLife and for or family. Dawn Isler Cox Paul Cox

Our Story

Dawn and I joined Campus Crusade for Christ as FamilyLife staff in 2015. What a privilege we have to work for a ministry dedicated to seeing God's glory manifested in homes and in communities all over the world.

We believe families are the most untapped resource on the planet in helping fulfill the Great Commission and cause societal change. To that end, FamilyLife's vision is "every home a godly home". And its mission is "effectively developing godly marriages and families who change the world one home at a time".

Paul leads a team of amazing Missionary Mobilizers (Recruiters) whose role and passion it is to shepherd the calling journeys of individuals who desire to serve at the ministry. There are multiple personnel openings with FamilyLife that need to be filled, and many of those needs are critical to the vision and strategy of the ministry. Dawn assists Paul with mobilization projects while homeschooling Sam, Ben, Caroline, and Joseph.

FamilyLife is a ministry of Cru, formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ. Cru is the world's largest international mission agency and has over 70 ministries under its ministry umbrella.
