DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE
DATE: Sunday, May 6, 2018
TOPIC: GRACE AND MERCY OF GOD
READ: Acts 13:38,39
MEMORISE: And by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses. (Acts 13:39)
EXPOSITION
In his exhortation to the brethren in Antioch, Paul listed the various events that took place in the birth, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. If we are to look carefully at these events, we cannot help but observe God’s immense patience and grace for His people. Some like to make comparisons between the God of the Old Testament with the God of the New Testament, thinking that, in the Old Testament, Yahweh seemed harsher, where Yahweh’s divine purpose is concerned. This is simply not true. God is always constant and consistent in His faithfulness and dealings. If not for His grace and mercy at the beginning of time, all of us would not have had the opportunity to come to Jesus Christ, as our Lord and Saviour. Even after knowing Jesus, we are still dependent on the mercy and grace of God to lead our daily lives. Grace saves, teaches godliness and prepares for Heaven (Titus 2:11-15). It does not end there. God’s grace and mercy reminds us of what our relationship should be, with our spouses and children. The same helps us to relate well with others, to the glory of God. Both of them are worth praying for, all the time. May we live by His grace and mercy, all the days of our lives. Amen. Please do not receive the grace of God in vain (2 Cor. 6:1).
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Go ahead and thank the Lord for His grace and mercy in your life, home and endeavours.
2. Lord, let Your mercy and grace avail for me in all situations of life.
3. Lord, help believers all over to depend on Your grace and mercy fot sustenance, growth and our ultimate salvation, in Jesus’ name.
EXTRA READING FOR TODAY: 1 Samuel 31, 2 Samuel 1 & Romans 10
GOOD MORNING AND HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY IN HIS PRESENCE IN JESUS’ NAME AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being born again refers to the spiritual turnaround in someone’s life. The “cannot see” as recorded in John 3:3 is not just seeing, but reveals to you the perception of heaven and sets the salvation process in motion. A new baby is born and spiritual life begins.

You are born again, so what?

WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR THE LORD?

Many in the church are too busy playing the church roles to the extent that they do not have time to BE the CHURCH. We have too many hearers but, too few doers. With all that God has invested in your life, what are you doing for HIM?

Good Christians come to church events regularly and they pay attention to the Word until they become good to the extent that some even know where a sermon is going within the first ten minutes and they can even finish the preachers' quotation for them. If you are one of those Blood washed, Separated, Tithe paying, Spirit called and tongues talking, knowing what everybody should do and are always having opinions: A good and very talented person who have various abilities useful for God in the kingdom work but, what a pity, if you just come, sit and after the church service, go back home to do the same thing again at another time. You have become perpetual students that never graduate. I have one question for you today, WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR THE LORD?

The talents God gave to you what are you doing with it?
Jesus said about the lazy servant in Mathew 25:26 - 30
"You wicked, lazy servant!’ replied his master. ‘You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed. Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received it back with interest. Therefore take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. And throw that worthless servant into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

I like the lyrics of one of Casting Crowns' songs that says:
But if we are the body
Why aren't His arms reaching?
Why aren't His hands healing?
Why aren't His words teaching?
And if we are the body
Why aren't His feet going?
Why is His love not showing them there is a way?

Why are we so lazy and continually give excuses? We grow when we use God's gifts and if we do not, the work of God will still be done regardless.

Here at Christ Apostolic Church - Vineyard of Mercy, Orlando FL, we invite you to come and use your gifts to the glory of God. We need Sunday school teachers, Ushers, Choir members, Prayer warriors, Evangelists, Home group leaders, Missions and missionary supporters and the lifters of Moses' hands. So, stop your excuses; and come and manifest with us.

Of course when you come, the Word of God will prove you. God bless you.

Shalom!

[08/29/16]   Failure analysis is a way of understanding the causes of failure to determining the necessary corrective actions or liability. According to Jaylen D. Bledsoe, "don't let your setback cause you to sit back but, prepare for your comeback."

Despite of all that has happened, we as believers should yield to the wisdom of Romans 8:28 that says, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." This means that ultimately, GOD is in total control and as His word has promised, if I fall, I will rise again because the Lord is the one who upholds me. therefore I can boldly declare that no failure can keep me down, I will rise again.

Meditate on Job 14:7-9 that says, "For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant." Believe it, receive it and repeat it. It shall be well with you. Amen.

Shalom!

[02/10/16]   Jesus is Lord
Cac VineyardofMercy Orlando Florida

07/17/2015

While praying about the direction the God of heaven and earth would have us take as a Christ Apostolic Church, Vineyard of Mercy here in Orlando FL, I received a mandate to focus on REPENTANCE. At first, I thought that GOD has called us to start preaching to the unreached and because of my background in Missionary work, it makes sense to me. However, The Lord opens my eyes to the fact that this message is more relevant within the church than outside.

Repentance is needed every time there is a move away from the ordained doctrines of Christ or Lord. To be honest, there is an erosion of the old time religion in our churches today. more and more saints are lukewarm and are not waiting for the RAPTURE and the second coming of Jesus Christ. We (Church ministers) must prepare them to be ready.

Are you ready? We MUST all get ready!!!

Jesus says, "When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

I am inviting you for a '3-Day Revival' that is designed for preparing the church for the rapture and consequently, the second coming of Christ. The theme is "Vessel Unto Honor" and the dates are set for the 29th to the 31st of this month.See the attached Flyer for details.

Shalom!
Pastor Michael Odunmbaku.

[03/11/15]   Greetings from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,

This Friday at 6:30 pm is our bible study and we will keep our attention on the throne room of heaven. We have identified the four living creatures and it is time to jog our memories. Who are the Seraphim and how are they different from the Cherubim? What are their functions and how are they different from the Angels?

Please join us to explore the scripture together and rediscover what the will of God is concerning us, His church.

The church address is 8421 Sourh Orange Blossom Trail (Suite 221) Orlando FL 32809.

Shalom!

We thank God for yesterday's service. We had church and I haven't felt God's presence like that for a while. It makes you don't want to get away from that atmosphere of grace. My brother also visited from Nigeria and the add to the joy of the day. All glory to God Almighty.

[01/24/15]   By reading Hebrews 1:9, I understand that salvation is not just loving all that is good, it also entails hating all that is evil. This is Repentance 101. It is not enough to love praise and worship, sermons and feeding the homeless. These are good deeds, but they are just not enough by themselves.

At salvation, we possess the mind of Christ and start living day by day to do away with the old selves. We begin to love what Christ loves and hate all that He hates. Unless we truly repent and hate what He hates, our church will be filled with unchanged lives only to have Christian as a label that go with our old identities.

Christian drunks
Christian gossipers
Christian adulterers and fornicators
Christian witches
Christian worldly minded folks
Christian thieves
Christian unforgiving people
Christian (Put your list here)

Christian label does not do any good if the old selves are still existing and thriving. We need to start living new lives of holiness being clothed in righteousness and truth. God cannot be mocked and as Jesus said to the seven churches of Asia Minor, "He sees your works". Repent and be truly converted, so that God may be glorified in your life.

Now I know that it is easier said than done, at least for me, but we have to continually striving for that which is perfect in Christ Jesus. As you attempt to live a life of separation I pray that God will strengthen your will power to stay strong and endure to contend for the faith in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Shalom!

[01/20/15]   David was summoned by King Saul who although benefited from his musical skill, did not really see him. But, when he killed Goliath, the King asked, "who is this guy and whose son is he?"

So I pray for you today that the only true God of heaven will announce you to the World.

If it seems as if nobody sees your efforts, as if you are just doing it for nothing, don't give up performing to the best of your ability. I come to tell you today that the Lord who you serve sees you and He will cause you to be noticed, seen and rewarded in Jesus name.

The veil is torn.

Shalom!

[01/15/15]   Standard deviation is a mathematical principle that measures how diverse a group is, and by deduction, different groups emergence occurs by such groupings. Sometimes, it is possible to see how different a group is from the source.

Mene, mene, tekeli uphrasin.

If God decide to measure you and what you stand for today. How deviated away from the Source would He find you to be?

Remember 2Tim. 2:19, the standard of God stands sure, unyielding and immovable. We are the one to step into our destiny in Christ Jesus.

This is a call unto all deviated brothers and sisters in the Lord to come back home to the Lord their God. He is waiting to welcome you back and celebrate you once again. But if death should find you in your deviated state before you get back to your source, your eternity is in jeopardy. So, come back home friends.

Shalom!
Pastor Michael Odunmbaku

[01/11/15]   Mordecai was veiled until peace was taken away from the King which forced the King to see him.

Therefore I pray for you today that every veil shielding you from your God appointed benefactors, be removed in Jesus name. Amen.

[01/08/15]   Calvary greetings to you in Jesus name.

This is a reminder that on tomorrow, our 2015 bible study will start and we will highlight the lessons from Revelation chapters 2 & 3 which we have been studying for about 3 months. We will attempt to finish this quest so that we can start on chapter four as from next week.

The time is 6:30 to 8:00pm. Teleconference #: 774-220-4000
Access Code: 390-8612

God bless you as you come in Jesus name. Amen.

Shalom!
