Reflection for the 4th Sunday of Lent (Laetare Sunday)

Happy Laetare Sunday, everyone! Readings for the 4th Sunday of Lent (Laetare Sunday): Reflection: God speaks to us. Oftentimes, He is very direct, as He was to Samuel in today’s first reading. Or, perhaps even more obviously, when Jesus smears mud on a man’s face and tells him...

[03/21/20]   Hey guys! We are excited to share that we have some things in the pipeline to help satiate ourselves while we’re stuck inside, starting with a reflection on this Sunday’s readings tomorrow.

Nightfever Orlando

Due to COVID-19 and the suspension of masses, church visitations, etc., we will be canceling Nightfever. We hope to reschedule a different date in the future. In the meantime, keep our community in your prayers, especially the vulnerable populations, along with the rest of the world. May the Lord relinquish the pandemic and heal those that are infected. Stay safe and healthy, everyone!

Diocese of Orlando

[01/21/20]   Hey guys! We have been presented with an amazing opportunity to get involved with a new ministry being started at St. James called Open Table.

Open Table uses a group volunteer format to affect change within communities, something we think there is a great need for in Orlando.

If anyone is interested in learning more information about this ministry, there are two information sessions happening this week:

Wednesday the 22nd, from 6-7 PM in the Parish Council Room (right before Holy Hour Happy Hour!!!), and
Thursday the 23rd, from 10-11 AM in the Parish Council Room.

Please pray about potentially volunteering for this ministry, and if you didn't get the hint above, the first information session is conveniently right before Holy Hour Happy Hour tomorrow. Coincidence? We think NOT. (h/t Holy Spirit)
