On The Rock Preschool

Our Preschool is a minsitry of Pine Castle United Methodist Church. We serve families with infants through age 4 (VPK).

We provide Christ-centered education to infants through (VPK) 4 year olds. We offer a 3 day program and a 5 day program. Wee Learn and Hand Writing Without Tears are curriculums used in our school. Our teacher to student ratio is less than the state requirement, therefore, we provide one-on-one guidance in all areas of growth including academic, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual. For a tour of our facility please email [email protected]

Mission: We are committed to providing a loving, Christ-centered environment where children can learn through play. We believe in encouraging creativity and building healthy relationships.

In Summer Camp today, as we were learning about "The Great Outdoors"... some of our students went ON A BEAR HUNT. It turns out that they never saw a bear, but they did find some bugs and beautiful flowers instead.

This morning in camp, our students enjoyed painting in a new way. They were working their fine motor skills all while creating a masterpiece and all mess free! What a great idea Ms. Justina Martinez!

On The Rock Preschool still has a few VPK spots remaining in our program for the 2020-2021 school year. Our VPK hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. We do offer an option VPK After Care program for families. If you would like additional information about our VPK program, please feel free to give us a call. We'd love to talk with you.

On The Rock Preschool still has a few remaining spots available for the upcoming school year in our Infant Class and our Two-Year-Old Classroom. If you would like more information about our program, please feel free to give us a call.

Our VPK students created a volcano out of old play dough today and enjoyed watching it erupt.

Always teaching... wash your hands! That’s the BEST prevention for germs!!

In the Infant Room, we play hard, eat and then we nap! Sweet dreams our precious little ones...

On The Rock Preschool did a two week "Paper Product" Collection ministry project the first two weeks of November to benefit The Russell Home for Atypical Children, Inc. We collected products off of their Needs List. We collected plates, bowls, napkins, paper towels, baggies, garbage bags, plastic utensils, plastic cups, and toilet tissue.

We received the following message back from The Russell Home:

"Dear On The Rock Preschool,

You are the heartbeat of the Russell Home for Atypical Children, Inc.
For over 60 years the community has supported the home with donations
of clothes, food, medical supplies, financial support and all household needs.
The history of the Russell Home is an amazing story, you have made us part of
YOUR story! Thank you so much for your donation of paper products.

Thank you for thinking of the Russell Home!

Blessings!
Pam Brazell
HR Manager"

Field Trip to Fire Department #70

On Monday, October 14, 2019, On The Rock Preschool's Three-Year-Old and VPK Classes took a walking field trip to Orange County's Fire Department 70. This was our culminating experience after learning all about Community Helpers. What an excellent time of learning for our students this morning. We learned all about the Fire Engine, how to stay safe in the event of a fire, how the fire fighters would appear if they came to assist in the event of a fire. They let each child have the chance to walk through the truck to see what it looked like inside. They explained the various equipment and what it is used for. Every child had the opportunity to feel how heavy the fire hose is and spray the hose to knock over a cone. We also we able to tour the inside of the fire station to see where the firefighters sleep, cook their meals and eat while they are working. The children were able to ask questions and get answers. It was a wonderful experience, and we are so very thankful to each and every one of these individuals. They were AMAZING this morning and they serve our community in outstanding ways all of the time. Thank you Department 70. We are grateful!
