Good morning. I'm looking for the church of a friend of mine that her grandfather I think organizes the choir. Mr. David Peterson. I know it's An Episcopal Church but can't remember which one. Hopefully you can help me with this if you've heard of him. Thank you and have a Blessed day.
Happy Birthday tomorrow, Nov 1st to Youth Director Jonathan McKenzie. Hope you have an amazing day! We are grateful for your precious life.
Blessed Patronage Feast tomorrow, Cathedral Family. (And yes, I did try to draw part of the Bell Tower!) Love y'all. ☀️💗

Happy Advent IV, Cathedral Family! Enjoy this last Advent wreath photo from the Strawn Family.

We've got a new blog post for your Advent enjoyment!

https://www.ccslorlando.org/blog/2020/12/13/an-advent-of-the-heart-by-brian-stankich

Have you heard of the Anglican/Episcopal tradition of studying death, hell, heaven, and judgement during each week of Advent? It's certainly darker than the peace, joy, hope, & love most of us are familiar with.

Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

Let us hear again the message of the Angels, and once again in heart and mind go unto Bethlehem.

Our next installment of Meet Your Family features the Vancols!

Wil & Leigh Anne Vancol; Children - Joan and Lynx Vancol

The Vancols have been at the Cathedral since 2017. Leigh Anne was raised Episcopalian and her father is an Episcopal priest, so they wanted to find a church that was both familiar and fit with their theological ideals. Leigh Anne is currently the Nursery Coordinator and has also taught VBS. Wil is an usher (in non-covid times!). One very interesting fact about the Cathedral is that Leigh Anne knew Deacon Rose Sapp-Bax when her father was the priest at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Lake Placid, Florida. She attended Church and youth events with Deacon Rose's children, and says "it was a lovely surprise to find that Deacon Rose was now a Deacon at the Cathedral! It was like finding a home away from home!"
