Many of you know Tina and Charles; as, they are very active at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton. Due to Covid-19 Restrictions and how "...one pew per family," I know that all will be in prayer with Tina and the family.

Tina has another "close family;" and, it is the legal community in Odessa (Court Reporter - Private and District Court(s)).

I would see Charles (David) at mass at Holy Redeemer too (late-Sunday Evening in the past too)...prayers to their loved ones...he will be missed.
If you haven't heard yet … we're open for business at St. Elizabeth's. Sunday masses: 5 (Sat), 7:30 (Latin), 9, 11:30 & 1:30 (Spanish). The 5 on Saturday and the 11:30 & 1:30 are livestreamed. We bring communion to them at the end of the mass at the carport entrance of the church. Stay home if your are elderly, have other medical conditions or are just not ready to venture out. MASKS REQUIRED FOR ALL AT MASS!

Our Story

The fourth bishop of San Angelo, Joseph A. Fiorenza, established St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish on August 1, 1982, and named Fr. James P. Bridges as its founding pastor. The parish was in distant northeast Odessa, and streets to the site were not yet complete. A parish office and priest’s residence was purchased on Candy Lane and the congregation’s first masses were celebrated at nearby Blanton Elementary School. Later, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church welcomed the congregation and masses were celebrated in their church for three years. Then on Christmas Day 1985, St. Elizabeth’s new church was ready for its first mass. In May 1986, Bishop Michael D. Pfeifer, OMI formally dedicated the church, the first time he had done so.

Parish events soon taxed the congregation’s limited facilities, so despite its debt, the parish quickly set about adding the Family Center consisting of a hall, parlor and kitchen. It was completed in 1990.

On July 1, 1996 Fr. Mark J. Woodruff was appointed as St. Elizabeth’s second pastor. The parish needed classroom space for its expanding CCD and RCIA programs, and the parish offices needed to be relocated closer to the church, so another building program began. The Office and Education Building was completed in August 1999. A courtyard around a beautiful fountain united the parish’s three buildings, making the parish one of the most beautiful and well-planned church complexes in Texas.
