ALL CHURCH ACTIVITIES WILL BE CANCELLED SUNDAY MARCH 15TH AND MARCH 22, 2020

Updated 3/13/2020
At Faith Fellowship Church, we love and care for our community and our church family! Your well-being and safety matters to us. As Christ followers, we would never want to incite fear. Scripture tells us that we are not to live in fear. We are also to be wise and do our part for the greater good. After prayerful consideration and monitoring of recent developments with the virus spread, we have decided to cancel church activities for the next two weeks, at which time we will re-evaluate our position.
For many of us the question remains — why can’t we just meet and trust God? Because of something medical experts call “social distancing” — intentionally avoiding gatherings where healthy and infected people may mix. Limiting major gatherings is an effective tool we can use to care for our communities by limiting the spread. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines social distancing as “remaining out of congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others when possible.” The purpose is to slow down the spread of the illness by limiting its opportunities to infect healthy people. By cancelling our services, we are limiting the potential for a higher level of disease spread.
We are urging our members to worship in their homes and seek the Lord in prayer daily. We also want to check in with each other regularly through phone calls, texts, Facetime, etc. and will be available to take specific prayer requests upon request. We live in a time when technology allows us to stay connected in ways once unimagined and we should all plan to stay close to one another during this time.
We also encourage you to take recommended precautions to keep yourself and others in our community safe. We can all do our part to help stop the spread of coronavirus - COVID-19 in the following ways:
• Stay home when you or family members are sick.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
• Cover your sneeze or cough with a tissue or your arm.
• Get in the habit of not touching your face so often.
• If you are returning from a high-alert area, we urge you to consider refraining from attending church gatherings and classes until the CDC’s recommended 14-day time-frame has been observed.
• If you or someone you know tests positive for COVID-19, please let us know so we can find a way to help, pray for everyone involved and take any necessary precautions here at FFC.
Thank you for your understanding and please continue to partner with us in prayer over this situation.
