Wellspring Church DFW

My favorite three words right now : Grace, flexibility, connection. What are your favorite three words right now?
I'm here.
For those attending the Theology 101 class, we will start tomorrow, 2/5. We will start promptly at 7 PM in the Family Life Center (aka Fellowship Hall) in Room 500. As a guide, we will be using Wayne Grudem's Systematic Theology: An Introduction to Biblical Doctrine. The church has bought a few of these books and will supplement their price, offering them to class participants at $15. We will accept, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or credit cards. Otherwise, you can purchase on your own. Each class you should bring your favorite study bible, the Systematic Theology book, a journal and something to write with. There will be reading / preparation requested for each session. We will give the information on what to study the week prior. So tomorrow night we will give you what to prepare for the next session on 2/12, etc. If you have any questions, contact Jammie Ariail at 817-807-7998 or [email protected]. Hope you are looking forward to this class! Jammie
Chili Cookoff and Poker Night TONIGHT :) May Douglas Coco go down in a heat of glory. lol 6PM cut-off for chili entries. 6:30PM cut-off for judges. Of course can eat all night long but we must limit the judging. Poker tournament is for bragging rights. Invite friends and come have some fun.

For the Wednesday night Bible Study we have finished the Gospel of Mark. Starting tonight at 7PM in the Family Life Center room 500, we will be starting a video series called Cold Case Christianity by J. Warner Wallace. It will likely go for 4 - 6 weeks depending on the level of Q&A. This video series will start to explore tools to study scripture and clarify why variations in the Gospel accounts are good. Feel free to come to some or all of the meetings. We would love to see you there.
Men of ManChurch: We need everyone who is coming to the retreat to register by tomorrow night, Wed, 3/27, as we owe a count to Cinnamon Creek for lunch. We also REALLY need your prayers to thwart attacks against the enemy. I am really excited about this event so the attacks are coming.
12 days until the retreat! Cannot wait to hear Pastor Orlando Terrero and Pastor Jeremy Shuck as well as see the archery competition :) Make sure to bring a friend with you. Need all registrations in by 3/27 so we can get a head count to Cinnamon Creek Archery for lunch.
This Wednesday night for Bible Study (7 PM - 8:30 PM in Room 100), we will be focusing on Mark chapter 13 talking about the End Times. I welcome everyone to come out and help us look at Mark 13 more fully. :)

We exist to grow in our friendship with Jesus, our friendship with one another, and to extend those two friendships to the world through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Who could use a little peace these days? 🙋🏾🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♂️🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏿‍♂️🙋🏼‍♀️ With the whole world basically on pause, you’d think we would have less to do - but so many people are still feeling the strain of a full calendar. We can all tap into His peace when we remember to surrender our plans to Him.

Jesus wasn’t rescued from the cross, but He was rescued from the grave! Now we get to be rescued by Him. Talk about good news! What are some ways you surrender to Him during your daily life?

See you all tomorrow at 10:30am on Facebook and YouTube! Join us *virtually* for worship and a word as Pastor Michael begins his new series - Pack Your Bags.

Who will be joining us?

Pastor Michael talked about ‘an ache for eden’ on Sunday. The longing in us. The longing for more. And we get to decide how to respond to that ache. We get to decide to allow that ache to drive us into the arm of the Father. So let’s do that today! Let’s dive into His word, prayer, and our community.

The resurrection restores ALL THINGS. He made the ultimate sacrifice so we could experience ultimate love. Feeling so thankful for the Easter message!

We loved seeing all of you celebrating yesterday! How many of you raided those Easter baskets after the kiddos fell asleep? 😉

He is risen!!

We can't wait to celebrate with you this morning at 10:30am!

You can watch Via livestream from right here on Facebook or from our Youtube channel!

Big thank you to our volunteers who helped make and deliver Easter goodie bags to our kids! ❤️❤️❤️

What can we do this week, when things feel uncertain for so many, to praise Him and seek Him first?

Let’s pursue Him through His living word, through worship, and through our community!

Here is what you can expect for our Passover Seder!

When: April 10th at 6:30pm
Where: Your house! It's 100% online!

List of Items Needed: Passover Seder, April 10, 2020

Shopping list:
Grape or CranGrape Juice (enough for everyone to have about 4-6 oz.)
Matzah crackers (bread or crackers will work)
Parsley (enough for everyone to have a sprig)
Horseradish - 1 Jar
Hard boiled eggs (Optional - 1 per participant)
1 cup per participant (can be plastic, styrofoam or other)
Small white plate (can be styrofoam or paper)
White cloth (can be a white napkin)
2 candles & lighter (taper candles are traditional, but you can use what you have)
A prize for the child who finds the hidden bread or Matza*
Charoset (Optional - see recipe below)**

Setting the Passover Seder Table:
Each participant should have a small plate with the following items on it:
*A small spoonful of horseradish
*A sprig of parsley
*A piece of bread (Matza or regular; can be a cracker) - the father (or person leading the Seder) will also need a large piece
*A hard boiled egg (optional)
*Charoset (Optional - see recipe below)

Each participant will also need:
*A cup of Grape juice or CranGrape juice - you will be taking several sips from this cup and also participating in Communion with this same cup, so fill it at least half full
*An empty white plate, preferably styrofoam or paper, but a regular ceramic plate will work
*A small bowl of salt water
*A small bowl of water
*Some napkins to dry hands

*This “prize” for the child who finds the hidden bread or Matza carries with it a promise of something greater. The father will give this prize to the child and promise something better later. Some examples: Give the child a Hershey Kiss and promise a full Hershey bar later. Or give a small candy bar and promise a toy later. Or give a piece of candy and promise a game of catch in the backyard later. Or give the child $1 with the promise of $5 later.
**Charoset Recipe:
Prep Time: 15 min
Serving Size: 3-4 cups
3 apples, peeled and diced
1 cup walnuts, toasted and roughly chopped
1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
1 teaspoon sugar, or brown sugar
1 tablespoon red wine, sweet like Manischewitz
1 tablespoon honey
Place all ingredients in a large bowl and toss to combine evenly.
If you want this to be more of a spread, combine all ingredients in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until just forming a paste.

In the past couple of days, it can be especially easy to start to panic and live in a state of fear. ⠀
What is important to know and remember is that God is still in control! ⠀

Need prayer? ⠀

Message us, we would love to pray for you!

Every single week, we have prayer teams ready and willing to pray for you. If you need a physical healing in your body, need emotional encouragement or just want extra prayer for a situation, come forward after service! ⠀

Prayer changes things and we want to pray for you. ⠀

Message us with any prayer needs you have!

What is the fear of God? Here’s one definition: To fear God is to be overwhelmed by God’s power and presence.

If this is something you would like prayer over, send us a DM! We are happy to pray for you! ❤️

The Fear That Displaces All Fear

It's debatable whether the world is becoming more scary, but without a question, the world is becoming scared. How can the church take global events seriously, without succumbing to the world's paranoia?

"Behind the Scenes" is out brand new series over the book of Revelations - an "unveiling"of Jesus Christ, and His plan for setting the Universe aright. In this message, Pastor Michael teaches us from Revelation 1 how to overcome our fear.

Then came the morning that sealed the promise

Your buried body began to breathe

Out of the silence, The Roaring Lion

Declared the grave has no claim on me!

Jesus, yours is the victory!

Intimacy is more than physical. It’s sharing your emotions, your thoughts, it’s being completely open with your spouse at all times.
Full disclosure leads to more intimacy!

The Book of Revelation is neither a crystal ball to be obsessed over, nor a dark mystery to be avoided.

It is the “revelation” of God’s beauty, and of God’s awe-inspiring plan for setting the Universe aright. Join us for our sermon series, “Behind the Scenes” as God invites us backstage for the sneak preview to a movie that, one day, everyone will see!

Join us at 10:30 this Sunday!

Don’t forget to set your clocks this weekend!

Don’t worry, we will have lots of coffee and tea for you before service on Sunday! 👍🏻

Ep. 45: The Farewell

On Sunday, Pastor Michael challenged us to look at our spouse and love them for who they currently are, not who you wish they were.

This week, take the time and give your spouse or partner a genuine compliment.
