Operating as usual

During these times remember that God is sovereign. He can do whatever He wants to, whenever He wants to. I absolutely believe that we will be much better for the experience. Our faith and our resolve will increase. This calamity is the catalyst for increase. People who are helping one another far outweigh the selfish ones depicted in the news. Being in our homes is probably the best thing that could have happened on a few fronts. We are reminded of the importance of family. We are also reminded to appreciate the benevolence of God. We are in a place of communication and fellowship and prayer that sometimes gets shortchanged in our daily hustle and grind. It is a fact that during times of turmoil, our prayer lives increase. (refer to 9/11/01 for further clarification).
God is also showing “President Stockmarket” just who is in charge. The very thing that he pinned his presidency hopes was the stock market. God is speaking, through natural disasters, through financial upheaval, plagued, and diseases. Wherever you find yourself today, trust that all things work together for the good, to them that love God, and to who are the called, according to His purpose. If My people, who are called by my name, would humble themselves, and pray, seek My face, turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and I will heal the land. If....what a big 2 letter word. Let us pray for the whole world, that we turn to the Only Wise God, who can prevent us from falling, and present us faultless with exceeding great joy, unto Him be majesty dominion and power, now, henceforth, and forevermore...and the people said, Amen.

[12/10/19]   2 Corinthians 12:9-10

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Prior to these verses Paul shares about the “thorn in his flesh” that tormented him. Three times he asked the Lord to deliver him from this unknown ailment or situation. The retort was one that encouraged Paul, and should equally encourage all of us. It is the grace of God, and the power of His resurrection that allows us to overcome the “thorns” in our life. It is in our weakness, that the believer can rest in the strength of Jesus Christ, for His grace is most certainly sufficient!

[11/06/19]   Matthew 8:1-3
". . . and there was a l***r who came to him and knelt before him, saying, 'Lord, if you choose, you can make me clean.' He stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, 'I do choose. Be made clean!' Immediately his leprosy was cleansed."

This text shows us that there is no ailment that the grace of God cannot reach (Physical,Spiritual, Mental). It also shows that when we humbly APPROACH Him, the very mercy of God is ACTIVATED and He will stretch forth His ARM and heal us from our infirmities. Finally, when we are healed, we must AMPLIFY His name in ADORATION!
Amen! Amen! and Amen!

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Galatians 2:16 Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

Faith is the life blood of our existence as believers. The righteousness of God is graciously imputed to those who exhibits faith. Faith in who? To what?
To the only way of escape from certain demise, Jesus Christ.
The above scriptures point toward this notion. When we trust Jesus in all areas of our life we rid ourselves of the spirit of self-reliance and begin to live a life of peace and joy.
Moments in which we exhibit faith increases upon each triumph. Our faith is actually strengthened.
That upcoming doctors appointment? Trust God. That job interview? Trust God! Things not going well? Trust God! Place those things that you can do nothing about into the hands of the One who is able to turn that situation around. Faith in action is pleasing to God. Try Him for yourself!

I know he or she is a live, breathing, physical being, but your beef is not with them. It would appear to be, and that is why we usually react to those that disturb us. But the truth of the matter is that our real enemy is of a supernatural variety. You can’t see them, nor touch them.
It’s not “Sister Sara,”nor is it “Brother John”, it’s the enemy of our souls.. Paul instructs us in this epistle to fortify ourselves for battle like a soldier. When we don the full armor of God, we will be able to stand. The “wiles” of the devil are attractive, deceptive, as well as ensnaring. Stop thinking of a horned, hoofed, and hideous creature when thinking of the devil. On the contrary, he is fashioned as an angel of light. The spiritual “equipment” required for battle will combat the principalities, the hierarchy of demonic authority. This spiritual wickedness dwells in high places. So let us look at the real enemy, and stop wrestling with the human agent, who is operating in proxy. I know she perpetrated a colossal evil against you, I know you’ve been lied on, I know you’ve been made to look foolish, I know he has mistreated you....but it’s not THEM! Your attack is SPIRITUAL, not physical. Your defense and offense in these matters should be SPIRITUAL as well.
I pray this helps somebody.

Thanks for these faithful servants!
Another blessed day of service at Hillside Manor! 👋🏿👋🏿

We can praise God in the midst of a storm when we reflect on the many times of deliverance in our lives. It’s not going to always be easy, but when we reflect on past experiences we can attest to His unfailing love for His people. The songwriter said it best, “He brought us through this, and He brought us through that.”
Anybody can praise God when life is coming up roses, but the challenge for us all is to praise God at all all times, even in our periods of pain ; because He is deserving of it. It’ll get better, sooner or later, but in the meantime praise the God of mercy, the God of deliverance, but most of all, the God of love!

20 Our God is a God who saves;
from the Sovereign Lord comes escape from death. Psalm 68:20 NIV

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Sometimes we lose sight of the fact that a child of God is covered. No matter what it looks like, no matter where the attack comes from, no matter who the attacker is, the believer needs to know beyond the shadow of a doubt, that they are covered.
The word never said that a weapon won’t be formed (because they will), but they won’t prosper. Good Lord! Something to shout about! You’re covered, by the blood of the Lamb!

An absolutely blessed day at the ballpark! Thank you to all who all came and participated in this event!
The fellowship was awesome!

Psalm 133 King James Version (KJV)

133 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

When you rise...when you retire for the night...when you eat... when you’re hungry...when you’re in trouble...when all is well...in traffic...when on the A train...when you are blessed with great friends...when they turn their back on you...in church...in your home...on the job...PRAY...it is essential for the child of God...WITHOUT ceasing...

When you feel left out, cast aside, and discarded, please remember that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Jesus identities with you, for He experienced those same feelings. Don’t ever feel like you’re less than by others. Be like Jesus and persevere through it all.

Jesus...the Supreme sacrifice!
#HolyWeek has commenced.

Only when King Uzziah died did Isaiah see the Lord in His fullness. What is it that is blocking your view of the Lord? Uzziah was a wonderful king, but he was fallible... he was susceptible...he was human... and he messed up. He blocked Isaiah’s view of God. Not only did the prophet see the Lord in His majesty after the kings death, but because of it, he saw himself for who he really was. The prophets lament as to who he really was in the face of a powerful God is the example for all of us. For those of us who have a warped perception of our self, take heed to Isaiah. Woe, is the word for today.

Yes He is! Does not matter what you are dealing with, our God is well equipped to handle it.

The benediction, or otherwise known as the final blessing.
Don’t leave service without it. I want goodness and mercy following me all the day!

The NJWC Evangelism Ministry wishes all a very blessed and prosperous New Year...one that glorifies our God, and inspires others.

He thwarts the plans of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success. Job 5:12

It’s all in His hands, don’t worry, He’s got this!

Nowhere in the “contract” is there a provision that states that our journey is without trial and turmoil... in fact, if you are a Christian, the contrary is true... but be of good cheer. As a good soldier, we must let times of trouble strengthen you, because the race is won by he or she that endures. As a soldier I kept my weapon near to me at all times, for my protection, as well as the protection of my brothers. As soldiers in the army of the Lord, fortify yourself with your weapon...That weapon is... the word of God. Study and meditate on Gods word, and you will endure. Don’t stress over things you cannot control. The word will guide you. At ease soldiers.

Pondering the mind blowing notion of the faithfulness of God toward us. Just imagine if that faithfulness was based on our faithfulness toward him. Have mercy Lord, and thank you for grace.

Such a simple concept... but the journey to get us to this point can be arduous. Part of the problem is our natural habit of trying to “work it out on our own.” When we go through various situations, and you know your deliverance was by the hand of God, our trust in Him should grow. The holy writ declares that faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. For example, when we board a plane, we trust that the pilot is straight, sober, and proficient in operating the plane. We order our meal, beverages, or perhaps take a nap. For the most part, no worries. Or when we dine out, do we go into the kitchen to inspect it for sanitary violations? No, because we trust that all will be well, and we trust that our experience will be favorable. During the last year and a half, I have had to make some difficult choices. Some did not make much sense at the onset, even to myself. I began to second guess and doubt, but when I realized that God was in the plan ( in fact, He is the architect of the plan), it became easier to trust. Didn’t have all the answers, didn’t know where resources would come from, but yet I trusted. Found out along the way, that folk can get somewhat weird on you, but yet I trusted. ( by the way, not only does one find out who their friends are in times of tumult and trouble, but even in times of prosperity and blessings you may see who they are). The disjointed aspects of my life suddenly connect and make sense. As a result, the Lord shows Himself Mighty and Strong...because you trusted Him. Try Him out my friends... you will not regret it. Peace, Love, and most of all, Joy.

Not always easy, but if you wait on Him....God will.....

The very essence of the Christian. Believing in something that you cannot see. The absolute assurance that what one believes is fact.
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance in what we do not see”. Hebrews 11:1 NIV

Many of us have struggles with patience, and as a result, we place great stress on ourselves, but at the end of the day, the events of our lives are governed by the sovereign hand of God. If we would learn to wait on Him, we gain power; power from on High! Glory!!!
