Came to spend some time in prayer at the cross today. When I sat down beside the cross this thorn poked me in the hand. I think God was trying to remind me that his son Jesus wore the crown of thorns and went through so much while here on earth, but that God was there the entire time. That he is king, our father and our savior and that he will never leave us or forsake us.

Friends and family no matter what you are going through in life know that God is always in control. Even if we don't understand why things happen, put your trust in God. He is a way maker, a pain taker and a chain breaker.

If you ever need someone to talk to don't bottle it up, you can call me at any given time and I will be here for you. I love you all.
I have enjoyed listening to the church service at Crestview today. I am looking forward to the gathering of our Sunday School class on Sept 27th. We are so lucky to have a wonderful church like Crestview. Hope to see a wonderful gathering next Sunday.i want to thank Debbie Portner for calling us each week and keeping us connected with the church.
Good Morning
We miss everyone! Have fun tonight and be safe! Wish we could be there with you...but not yet! Soon I hope!
Thank you Crestview for being the Church and hosting graduation. We were blessed to walk the stage at our church.

Just a friendly reminder that there will not be a fireworks show at RockHound Stadium tomorrow night. We will still be having a church-wide cookout after the 10:00 service though.

"We stopped going to church. Our faith in the Lord hadn’t changed, but people’s hurtful words and actions made us believe that church wasn’t a place we wanted to be. After much prayer, and what I can only call divine intervention, we found our Church home at Crestview. It’s unbelievable the spiritual growth, service, connection and relationships God has built since our return. "

This is Meagan's comeback story. Share yours below or DM us and tell us about how God has changed your life.

To get us started this week, we’re asking a few staff members to tell us 2 truths and 1 lie about themselves, and we want you to guess which one is the lie. We’ll end with Pastor John himself on Sunday, but today’s staff member is our Worship Pastor, Jordan Voyles. Leave a comment with your guess and be on the lookout for the answer later today!

Welcome back to our Easter devotional series!

“At noon, darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock. At about three o’clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, ‘Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?’ which means ‘My God, my God, why have you abandoned Me?’ Some of the bystanders misunderstood and thought He was calling for the prophet Elijah. One of them ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, holding it up to Him on a reed stick so He could drink. But the rest said, ‘Wait! Let’s see whether Elijah comes to save Him.’ Then Jesus shouted out again, and He released his spirit. At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart…” Matthew 27:45-51 NLT

Key Thoughts:
Matthew 27 tells us of the crucifixion of Jesus on Good Friday nearly 2000 years ago. In today’s video, we talked about three events that happened while Jesus was on the cross that have special meaning to His followers:
3 hours of darkness - vs. 45
The Temple curtain torn from top to bottom revealing the Holy of Holies - vs. 51
An earthquake - vs. 51

Questions to Think About:
“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.” Romans 5:6 NLT
According to Romans 5:6, why did Jesus have to die?

“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
Romans 10:9-10 NLT
How do we become followers of Jesus (saved from our helplessness) based on Romans 10:9-10?

Consider becoming a follower of Jesus today by acknowledging your sin, Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection, and making Jesus your Lord (the leader of your life).

If you took this step of faith today, tell someone you know and trust about your decision!
