Attention all Mid Cities Men: Men's Breakfast in the morning! 8am @191 Campus in the BOX. See you there. Ernie Kruger
Good morning, sharing my morning devotional with everyone. Praying that God will always be our light! Oil for the light.” Exodus 25:6 My soul, how much thou needest this, for thy lamp will not long continue to burn without it. Thy snuff will smoke and become an offence if light be gone, and gone it will be if oil be absent. Thou hast no oil well springing up in thy human nature, and therefore thou must go to them that sell and buy for thyself, or like the foolish virgins, thou wilt have to cry, “My lamp is gone out.” Even the consecrated lamps could not give light without oil; though they shone in the tabernacle they needed to be fed, though no rough winds blew upon them they required to be trimmed, and thy need is equally as great. Under the most happy circumstances thou canst not give light for another hour unless fresh oil of grace be given thee. It was not every oil that might be used in the Lord’s service; neither the petroleum which exudes so plentifully from the earth, nor the produce of fishes, nor that extracted from nuts would be accepted; one oil only was selected, and that the best olive oil. Pretended grace from natural goodness, fancied grace from priestly hands, or imaginary grace from outward ceremonies will never serve the true saint of God; he knows that the Lord would not be pleased with rivers of such oil. He goes to the olive-press of Gethsemane, and draws his supplies from him who was crushed therein. The oil of gospel grace is pure and free from lees and dregs, and hence the light which is fed thereon is clear and bright. Our churches are the Saviour’s golden candelabra, and if they are to be lights in this dark world, they must have much holy oil. Let us pray for ourselves, our ministers, and our churches, that they may never lack oil for the light. Truth, holiness, joy, knowledge, love, these are all beams of the sacred light, but we cannot give them forth unless in private we receive oil from God the Holy Ghost.
💖⭐️Mid-Cities Church family⭐️💖 I’m currently in a leadership program and we are currently raising money for an organization that is in demand at this time! It’s called the Miracle Food Network! They collect food, that would go to waste otherwise, from grocery stores, restaurants and many more and redistribute it to low income families in dire need of support! They are currently in the process of expanding to all over the US! Our goal is to raise $55,555 by May 31st! And I am committed to raising $2,000 of that $55,555. Please support these families that would go hungry otherwise! Below is the venmo link! When donating make sure you put “ On behalf of ✨Miracle Food Networrk✨ ” so it will go towards my personal goal! (Venmo)@Steven-Barton-22 Thank you for your support!🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
Service online at 9 am and 11:15 am

It’s great church and I love the way pastor Daniel interacts with the people and is able to translate the Bible into today’s world while also using passages from the Bible .
Our group worked this Saturday June 1st at Keep Midland Beautiful. Thanks to everyone who went to help today! We are raising money for a new child placing agency, One Accord for Kids (OAK) that will be licensed with CPS soon. They are brand new and are aiming to have locations in all the major cities around region 18. It's run by a board that includes Daniel Stephens and the family that runs The Attic. We were able to get this group together because Susan Vermillion organized a new team called Launch. Thank you so much Susan!
For those looking for our service stream, we are having an issue getting to Facebook, but you can join us over at our church-online stream.
Good morining what time are y’all going live with today mass ?

Learning to Thrive in a Threatening World Jesus came to give us peace but many believers still struggle with worry and anxiety. This four-week class will explore the roots of these “peace robbers” and search out God’s answers for finding real peace in a world that constantly fuels our fears. Led by Joseph and Joy Patterson. 9:30 / AC2 Finding Freedom Through Forgiveness This four-week class will explore the biblical mandate to forgive when it seems impossible to do so. We will consider God’s wisdom and strategies for experiencing the immense blessings and freedom that come from forgiving those who do not deserve it…including ourselves. "Pour Into Your Marriage Getaway was a great way for us to reconnect after having our first child the previous year! It allowed us time to refocus, as well as to hear God speak, as we were reminded of our mission and purpose as a married couple. We connected with other couples, and I even met my current discipleship group leader there! Lubbock also brought back many memories for us, as my husband and I met each other at Texas Tech! We are so grateful that Mid-Cities provides opportunities to invest into our marriage!”

Amidst what seems like turmoil all around us, we are going against the grain to show our city what love looks like.

We can't wait for you to be a part of serving our city this Saturday at Mid-Cities Serves!

Update: Registration for Mid-Cities Serves is now closed. DM us if you have any questions.

"We have never felt closer to each other! We were provided tools on how to make our marriage stronger, even though we are so different."

We love hearing the impact that Pour Into Your Marriage Getaway had in Josiah and Keely's marriage! Every marriage can benefit from a fun and rejuvenating weekend that will actually help you grow.

Check out the rest of Josiah and Keely's story:
"We attended Pour into Your Marriage in Lubbock I guess it was two years ago!? One of the things that could’ve stumped us from not going was the money. Every year we get one big Christmas gift from my parents, and instead of a big gift, we decided to ask them to pay for the retreat. I have to say, it was the best Christmas gift we have ever received!

We were very nervous to go, because one we have only been married for 5 years (at that time), and we had no idea what to expect. It’s almost comical to think of a young couple, barely married to go to a “marriage retreat”. I think people instantly thought... uh oh. Problems. Haha.

But we enjoyed it so much! Our eyes were opened WIDE to how different we actually are. Of course we knew that, but we didn’t know to what extent. We did an exercise where the speaker would read scenarios and if we were different we would go the opposite direction, if we were the same we would move closer together. Well, by the end, Josiah and I were on completely different ends of the room, wall-to-wall. Wow. That was eye opening. You see that and think... “Are we really going to make it?!”.

By the end of the marriage retreat we were in tears. We have never felt closer to each other. We were provided tools on how to make our marriage stronger, even though we are so different. We met friends there that we will hold near and dear to our hearts forever. We now know that when problems arise, we know where and Who to turn to first. We feel confident that our marriage is going to last for many, many years because we have an amazing church community that provides tools and resources like this to literally save people. (And man, do we have people in our church building that can DANCE!! Wowowow!)

If there is anyone on the fence about going, I would like to say, GO!! There isn’t a specific marriage “season” that fits the retreat criteria. You will take away something no matter where you are at, and I would like to bet that whatever you take away, will change you and your spouse's life forever!"

What Does the Bible Say About Persecution

In light of recent events surrounding Pastor Bob Fu, Pastor Daniel helped us dive into what does Jesus and the rest of the Bible have to say about experiencing persecution as followers of Jesus. This past Sunday, we discovered how we should respond in the face of any persecution.

What do you do when the world turns upside down? Too often, we look for the next big thing to help us. Maybe some of the smallest things we can do, like prayer, are the most profound.

We are loving our new series, "Leading Through Uncertainty"! What was your favorite part of the message? What is God showing you?

God loves the many ways we express our faithfulness and love to Him. Sometimes it's the small, intentional things, like getting the whole family up and ready, that end up having a significant impact.

Can't wait to see what God does this Sunday!

We love to hear about your experiences and God-moments. Please DM us your story too!

Sometimes the only thing between us and experiencing the healing and freedom we all desire is a simple step.

For hundreds of people like you, Free Indeed was that step. Register for your preferred class time at midcities.org/equip today!
