Welcome to Grace Presbyterian Church, Midland, Texas! Check out our website at www.gracemidlandtx.org.
Our church is small in number, but great in spirit! We invite you to stop by and worship with us Sunday mornings. Sunday School at 9:30 and Worship Service at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Cheryl Homsher has been our Pastor since Easter Sunday 2006.
Mission: The people of Grace Presbyterian Church gather to seek and to worship God, and disperse, sharing and celebrating through love and service, the grace of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Ministry continues. Bags of food for the weekend for Fannin students ready. Teachers picked them up on Friday to deliver to kids.
[04/03/20] Sadly, we will not be having worship services during the month of April. On Palm Sunday, April 5, you are invited to drive by the labyrinth on the north side of the church and pick up a palm branch for your home worship time. Stay safe, dear ones, and continue to pray God’s love and grace out into the world.
[03/27/20] No corporate worship this Sunday, and we feel it best that we NOT open the sanctuary Sunday morning for quiet prayer - in an effort to encourage more social distancing. We encourage you to stay at home and stay safe. Please continue to pray God’s love and mercy and healing out into the world.
We invite you to come re-center, re-connect, and breathe in God’s peace.
The church building will be open Sunday, March 22, 9:30-11:30.
No formal worship service, just come and pray, take some quiet time in this beautiful sacred space.
Social distancing etiquette will be observed.
If you don’t want to come inside, feel free to take a prayer walk at the outdoor labyrinth.
[03/19/20] This Sunday, March 22, we will not be gathering for our regular worship service. The building will be open from 9:30-11:30 am for anyone who wishes to pray in the quiet sacred space of the sanctuary. Coffee will be brewing for anyone who wishes to engage in (small group) conversation. Social distancing etiquette will be practiced. Come, re-center, re-connect, breathe in God’s peace.
Maybe this applies to us too!?!?
You are God’s beloved dust!

Celebrate Epiphany with us this Sunday! The Light of the World has come to all peoples! And you will be given a Star Gift - a word to consider for your life throughout 2020.
"When the song of the angels is stilled,
when the star in the sky is gone,
when the kings and princes are home,
when the shepherds are back with their flocks,
the work of Christmas begins:
to find the lost,
to heal the broken,
to feed the hungry,
to release the prisoner,
to rebuild the nations,
to bring peace among the people,
to make music in the heart.”
The poem “The Work of Christmas” is from Howard Thurman’s The Mood of Christmas.

Family Promise Week at Grace:
I want to thank everybody who volunteered to serve our 3 families during our family promise week. I hope each of you had an opportunity to visit with our guests and saw God at work in their lives. One of the common characteristics that carried through the week was kindness. Kindness was given to our guest from those who were serving and I saw kindness being returned to our volunteers. There was also kindness shared between families. I hope you had an opportunity to experience that kindness. Kindness can go a long way to making folks feel important and needed. In every situation I heard the word thank you and a humbleness that was expressed by our guests to those that served. Thank you for serving and giving of your time and talent to these families. They will always remember the love that was shown to them while they stayed at Grace Presbyterian Church. This program works because of you and your willingness to serve others.
It took 34 people to serve 3 families with 4 adults and 6 children ages 10 to 1 year old for the week of October 28th to November 4th. We had two churches, Grace Presbyterian (24) and St. Mark Methodist (3) ,folks from Church on the Journey (1), ex Trinity members (4) and guest (2) participate in our week of serving the families of family promise. Please encourage others to join in and volunteer to serve.
Thank you for volunteering.
