Discipleship Training Material We are offering access to exciting, new "Discipleship Training Material" (DTM) for free, no strings attached, for your benefit, the benefit of others, and to the glory of God. DTM offers the opportunity to benefit by it yourself, use it to help disciple others, and/or pass it on to others to use in helping others grow in Christ. You can even edit it to your own liking if you wish. It can be freely accessed by using the following URL. We don't have to memorize this, but can easily access it by putting it in our "Bookmarks" or "Favorites". DTM is a great tool that the Lord will use to minister to the person that just wants to go through it on their own. An even greater ministry will be when it is used one-on-one by one person discipling another. It can be printed out for use in group studies large or small, or even used all on-line together in the same room or spread out in different parts of the world. The DTM could even be copied on to a PowerPoint program and used in church sanctuaries, conferences, or with any other large audience. Those that would want to put it on YouTube (or on other video media or ways of communication) are free to do so as well. Many in the world may have access to the Internet, yet haven't found a good way to be discipled there for free. People without a church, personal pastoral leadership, or any Christians to guide them can now benefit from this DTM. It can be used by husbands and wives, parents and children, as well as other people that want to grow in their relationship with one another while growing in the Lord together. Those that are lonely can use it to grow in their fellowship with the Lord. There are many various groups of people in our world that can benefit by growing to know the Lord through the use of this "help", as well as becoming better equipped to serve Him. DTM is being given to you freely, as well as to many others around the world that want to help fulfill Christ's Great Commission in Mt 28:19, "Go ye therefore and teach all nations (make disciples)." Pastors (and their people) that want to see their churches grow in number and in spiritual growth, who want to see their people discipled and maturing in Christ, will want to take advantage of this free and effective resource. Those in hospital ministries, prison ministries, rehab centers, and a vast field of other areas where groups of people can be reached, can find ways to use this material in these places. New Christians that want to grow in their faith, as well as longtime Christians that haven't grown as they would have liked and now want to take control of their growth will be able to do so by taking advantage of this opportunity. Christians that want to be of service to the Lord can now use this material to help others grow, or they can pass the URL on to others that may want to help others grow. With smart-phones and the occasions where we have time on our hands, there is easy access to this material to better use this time by reading over and over this material at these times. Churches, their various ministries, Christian Education organizations, Missionaries, Bible study group leaders, “Sunday School” teachers, Christian parents, people on Christian and other social media websites can share this URL. Organizations and individuals with their own websites can set up a link to access the DMT URL. Whatever means of communication tools we have access to should be used to pass this free material on. Whether that be with snail-mail, e-mail, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and all the other options at our disposal. Even those who don't use these forms of communication can pass it on to those that do. Use your search engines to locate appropriate people that you can share it with on line. For example: search for churches in Austin, Texas. Find their website and an e- mail address. Put that address in your "To" box on your e-mail, and then cut and paste this page your reading here in your "Message" box, and hit send. E-mail addresses abound on-line that you can send this URL to. This in itself is its own ministry. Proverbs 11:30 says "...and he that winneth souls is wise." A wise thing to do is pass this URL on to others, so that Christians will mature and work to win more souls and edify the body of Christ; as God has called us to do in Eph 4:12. It would take less time to send this URL on to someone else than it takes to read this message. It can be sent out to others not only once, but as many times as we need to, as we find new people to send it to. Just like in Mk 4:14 some will be like the sower who sent out the Word, some will plant it, others water it, and others harvest it. Can you join with Paul, Apollos, and the Lord (as recorded in 1Co 3:6 "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.") and pass this on to others? Jesus said "Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men." What an easy way to be such a fisher, just in sending out this URL. You might think of the letters “U" "R" "L” as an acronym that stand for "Unlimited, Religious, Liberty”, or you could make up your own acronym to motivate yourself to be an active part in sharing this ministry. Surely the Lord will be giving people many other ways in which this link can be used for His glory. Though it is a long URL (, it is easily accessed with "cut and paste", "Favorites", and "Bookmarks." Those that have received this message by e-mail can simply use "forward" to pass it on to others. Oh, how people and the world could greatly benefit if it was accessed, passed on, and used regularly. Christ has given us the command to take the gospel to the outer most parts of the world and make disciples. If we truly want to contribute more to His Great Commission, let us take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and send this tool to others. It is easy, costs no money, takes little time, and can be so rewarding now and in eternity. May eternal blessing and rewards be yours!

April 22, 2016
This Sunday we will be privileged to enjoy a gospel concert/message.
Robert Williams will give us a concert of gospel music and scriptures
as he brings the Sunday message in song.
Don’t miss this special time of worship we will have.
Pray the the Lord may be able to use the service to touch hearts for Jesus.
Be sure to call and invite friends and neighbors to come, as well.
Let’s make ourselves open to the love and leadership of the Lord
and use the special service to reach new folks for our church.
We had a nice story prepared for publication in the newspaper.
BUT, even with early preparation and contacts, got practically nothing.
So it behooves us to get the word out the best way we can do it.
I have ‘transplanted’ the intended story to our page and to my timeline.
Maybe we will have some response from that … but still:
Business Meeting is postponed until Sunday evening May 1, 7:15 PM
After our singing at Cimarron Place. Important meeting ! Plan to come !
Wednesday Evening Bible Study
Come on in and take part
Sunday School and Church this Sunday!
Sunday School at 9:30AM
And Worship at 10:30AM
And to enjoy FELLOWSHIP with one another.
See you Sunday!
Thanking God for you !
Lucian Rudd, Pastor

God has a word for you – BEHOLD
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1:31
There are nearly 1240 instances of the work in the Bible.
We might ought to pay attention, huh?

Be looking for you this Sunday!
May God use this week to show you, wherever you may be,
that He is there with you to give witness of His Son, Jesus, our Savior !

[04/22/16]   YOU ARE INVITED .. This Sunday, 10:30 AM

Northwestern Baptist Church will host guest minister, Robert Williams, this Sunday, April 24.
He and his wife, Ramona, will be guests in the morning service, 10:30 AM, to present a concert message in gospel music and scripture. Make your plans to attend, without fail. Gospel songs present deep Biblical truth in a enjoyable setting that will inspire and challenge all of us.
Robert grew up in Midland and graduated from Midland High School. Ramona was from Oklahoma. They both graduated from Southern Nazarene University in the Oklahoma City area. They have three children.
Robert has been pastor of churches in Oklahoma, as well as some in Pampa and Andrews, Texas. Ramona taught in elementary schools where they lived. After retirement they settled in Midland and have been involved in a preaching/singing ministry in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Pastor Lucian Rudd says that YOU are invited and welcomed to attend, enjoy the music and worship in this special service. Don’t forget! And, by all means, invite your own friends and neighbors to come, as well. See you Sunday … for a good time listening, singing and being blessed in worship.

[04/10/16]   He is the RISEN LORD ... but what does that mean ... what does it mean to you and me as "common people" ...does it mean we study His Word daily, that we have our own special times of worship, maybe at our own personal alltar dedicated by me or by you for going there to pray, to listen to His Spirit, maybe to a hymn or two .. In other words, do we have at least some sort of worship place and worship time to be alone with Him .. to hear His encouragement and feel His love in a one to one setting. Really worship Him. Really Praise Him. AMEN, we thank you and praise you, Lord.

[04/03/16]   On the day of His resurrection, Jesus met and walked with two of His followers and talked with them about the occurences over the weekend. They didn't recognize Him. They poured out their hearts to Him. They were discouraged, hurt and worried. They invited Him into their home and probably kept talking. But something happened. As they prepared to eat and sat down, Jesus broke the bread and gave it to them .... It was as if their eyes were opened in that instant and they recognized .. the RISEN LORD!. And at that He vanished! Fait was restored. They were now convinced of His resurrection ... they left immediately to go tell the others that they had really seen the risen Lord.
Whatever our need, today, this passageis an eye opener .. we can see faith renewed. We can rush to tell others the story. We can relate to our own circle of friends/family/neighbors how we know and have seen the Risen One.
Whatever, open up and see the signs around you that point to the one who gave his all and the arose to show us it's real ... this message of love, redemption and glory. AMEN

[03/26/16]   I just a few moments ago read a post on facebook by a person I do not know .... Referring to the resurrection and the truth about it, the statement went like this: "truth is Big, so Big that small minds limit their own ability to grasp it. Easter is a beginning as no beginning has ever been since."
I would edit it very slightly, "East is a beginning as no beginning has ever been." Period ... it's the greatest beginning of a 'tradition' we know ... I know, you want to list some other important occurences: creation, the deliverance of the Hebrew people from Egypt, the miracle birth ... etc.
But listen to this ... what happened in that tomb .. the resurrection after three days ... and maybe more so, the reason it took place at all, climaxing God's deep love for us that He gave His son, let him die on the cross for your sins and mine ... and then showed us that He really could, that He really did and that he proved it all with the resurrection!
WOW !! If we could all just "get it," we would crowd the aisles in all of the churches this Sunday to give glory and praise as never before. And we would follow up week after week after week.
The words of Jesus come to mind, "IF YE LOVE ME....."
AMEN !!!

[03/23/16]   I have a quote from Daniel 2 ... a powerful message when we look closely and draw out all that is being said.
Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him. It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding. It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.…" — Daniel 2:20-22
I will be preaching from it soon. At first glance it seems to be best directed to political issues .. and it does have a powerful word there, but it seems to me that God's premise in the development of what we call Bible is to have messages for all of us. We are his creation, the base units of what we call nations or society. He has power over the nations, removing and establishing the leaders. And we need to study the ways he establishes as we apply this to political actions such as our current campaigns in in the nation. (They are not always the ways and people and methods that we think of firsthand.)
He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding. (Some of us who think we are so smart or full of wisdom didn't get there on our own .. we had help along the way).
He reveals things we consider profound and hidden while we sometimes boast about how we have "discovered" something new. And all of the time he knows what's in the darkness, maye just below the surface but still in the darkness. The point is, I suppose, He, God the Father and Creator, He knows it all! It ALL dwells in Him. He is Creator, Eternal King, Lord and Redeemer. AMEN! and AMEN!

[03/05/16]   Are you gettting ready for Sunday? No, I don't mean getting ready to go to Aunt Josie's ... or getting ready to mow the lawn ... or gettingg ready to have a relazing day, sleeping late, etc. I mean are you getting ready to go to the Lord's house to worship, open the scriptures to study them and accept the challenge God may have for you. He has blessed you in more ways than you can number, maybe even saved you from a disaster, loving and protecting you. Go to church this Sunday, sing praises to Him, hear the message from Him ... and maybe even take a public stand for Him in the presence of those around you. Yeah, are you getting ready for all of that this Sunday? It's likely that God may have something really special for you. See you there! Check in on Facebook and let your friends know you were in Worship. AMEN!

[02/20/16]   Tomorrow, Sunday, 2/2/16, MusicFest/SongFest at the church ... 6 PM. YOU are invited to come and sing with us and enjoy the fellowship of great congregational singing. Sing unto the Lord a great hymn of worship and praise! See you at 3901 Mockingbird Lane, Midland. It will be ggrreeaaattt! Amen!

[02/20/16]   Going “undercover” for God! How would that be? I read about a Nascar driver who went undercover giving people rides and then revealing her real identity. I didn’t get into the full story of how she may have driven them around, but I can easily assume that there were some surprised and impressed folks who telling how they were passengers with a race car driver at the wheel.
What about you maybe going undercover for God … assisting, aiding, serving others in a significant way and then revealing that you are really trying to serve and reveal the living Lord by your actions. You can “live out the Lord’s presence” in your daily life. Show His love for someone and then witness that He is the purpose, driving force and inspiration for your service.
I venture to say, “You will see or meet someone, today that needs to know of God’s love, concern and compassion for them.” SERVE AND THEN TELL. Show the love, then give the testimony. You will bless someone … and … you will be blessed, as well.

[02/17/16]   Up and down, in and out, hot and cold. Sometimes life takes us from one extreme to another.
Just when you have all your ducks in a row, one starts rustling it's feathers and quacking loudly to let you know, “Here comes your new challenge!” What next?
Ah! Here is help! It’s a word from Psalm 121:1,2 ..." I will lift up my eyes to the hills. From whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth."
That’s right, go directly to the ONE who is in charge. In His Word and through His Spirit will come the guidance, the purpose and the encouragement needed to meet the challenge.
And then there is peace! "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6,7.
May this be a word of peace to you this day! GOD BLESS!
