Focused - Sunday, June 7th, 2020

[06/06/20]   Join us tomorrow morning at Midland Church of God as we look at the thought "Focused". I believe God has breathed this word for such a time as this.
Service begins at 11:00 at 5300 Thomason Drive. If you are in the area and able to attend, we would love to see you there.
REMINDER: We will still be practicing Social Distancing and service will be live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube for those not able to get out.

Get In the Room - Sunday, May 31st, 2020

Get In the Room - Sunday, May 31st, 2020

[05/30/20]   The Baptistry has been cleaned and filled up for tomorrow. We will have Water Baptism in the morning. If you have not been baptized since you’ve given your life to Christ, or if you want to be Re-Baptized, bring a change of clothes and a towel tomorrow morning at 11:00 at 5300 Thomason Drive.

[05/30/20]   Just a reminder, one service tomorrow, beginning at 11:00. No Sunday School, Children’s Church, or Nursery and we will continue Social Distancing.
If you are well and ready, we invite you to join us. If you aren’t well and ready, we will be on Facebook and YouTube live at 11:00.

[05/29/20]   We hope you will responsibly join us this Sunday at 11:00 at 5300 Thomason Drive in Midland for Church Services! We're excited to all be back together in one service. Plus, it's Pentecost Sunday AND we will be doing Baptisms. We're looking forward to seeing everyone together again!

[05/27/20]   Due to technical difficulties, there will be no live devotion tonight.

[05/25/20]   This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday and we will be entering “Phase 2” of our “Return To The Sanctuary.” Starting this Sunday we will have ONE Service, beginning at 11:00. We will still observe sanitization and distancing protocols, will not have Sunday School, Children’s Church, or Nursery, and will be spacing in the Sanctuary. But we will get to be together.
For those who aren’t quite ready for this step, we understand. We will continue to broadcast our service online on Facebook and YouTube. If you are sick, please let Pastor know. We will pray for you but we ask that you join us online instead of in person.

[05/25/20]   Today is set aside as a day we remember the sacrifices made by American Men and Women of courage so that we could enjoy our liberties. Today we pray for those left behind, who only have that “blessed hope” to hold onto. We pray for those who hold a flag folded instead of the hands of their soldiers. And we pause in reflection of all that this day represents.
So from all of us at the Midland Church of God to all those Gold Star Families, we say Thank You, We Love You, and We Remember.

Licensed - Sunday, May 24th, 2020

If you’re ready, so are we.

[05/22/20]   Notes are ready for Sunday, building has been cleaned, and we’re ready for you! We’d love to see you at 9:00 or 11:00 (9:00 for those 60+ or anyone with compromised immune systems please). We’ll also be online at 11:00.

[05/21/20]   Today, I am praying for you. Each of you. Those who are coping with loss, uncertainty, anxiety, depression, fear, sickness, and pain. God is still faithful! -Pastor.

Wednesday, May 6th Devotion

Devotion for Wednesday, May 6th.

[05/06/20]   Don’t forget our Wednesday Devotion live on Facebook and YouTube tonight at 7:00.

[05/03/20]   I’m proud of the services we had today and how the church responded.
Two services that were well attended. People observed social distancing. Those from the first service helped clean and then vacated the premises so that the second group could come in. Worship was awesome! And it was just great to be able to see each other again. We even had a first time guest in the second service.
I’m excited! Next Sunday we’ll celebrate Mother’s Day with the same schedule. -Pastor

We Had to Tarry - Sunday, May 3rd, 2020

[05/02/20]   Our building has been cleaned and all “common surfaces” have been sanitized. We are ready for you tomorrow! Two services: 9:00 am for those 60 and over and 11:00 for anyone. We will sanitize again between services. We will also be online.

[05/02/20]   The Midland Church of God wants you to know that we care about our members and the members of our community. As we begin to open our doors once again for in-person services in the Sanctuary, we want you to know that we are taking every possible step to do so safely and responsibly.
First, we will continue to clean and disinfect our building weekly and between services. Secondly, we are encouraging social distancing. We’re asking everyone to maintain six-feet of distance from each other. We’ve also cancelled our Wednesday Night activities, Sunday School, Nursery and Children’s Church to assist with distancing. Thirdly, we will continue to offer live-streamed services through Facebook and YouTube for those who are sick, homebound, or that just aren’t comfortable getting out yet. And finally, we’ve actually added a Sunday Morning service at 9:00 am for those 60 years and over or those with compromised immune systems. We will continue to also offer our 11:00 service.
If you’re ready to come back to church, we’re ready for you to be here. If you’re not quite ready yet, we hope that you will be a part of our “Virtual Campus.” Either way, we’re here for you.
