We are believers in Jesus the Messiah, as witnessed and recorded in Scripture, and revealed by the Holy Spirit. Contact us if you would like more info!
When looking at the scriptures, it seems the early church was vibrant with love and power. Paul wrote to the folks who had received his message about Jesus and the New Life he offers, and encouraged them to live together in honest, plain, and real community. We are seeking to rediscover what God envisioned when he called his body (the church) a family. If you are looking for the kind of fellowship and life of service that the earliest Christians experienced, contact us and let's get to know one another!
Mission: We want to honor God, love those whom He sends our way, and live our lives openly without masks, without guilt. This kind of life will enable us to serve others with compassion.
I saw this on another house church group and thought I would repost it here.
[10/23/17] There are several folks who like or follow this page. Would any of you feel comfortable posting how you found us and what you might be looking for. I know I don't post very often, I'm wired more as an introvert but am trying to reach out and connect with more people to see what God is doing in our community. Since you have found our house Church page I am very interested to know what brought you here and what you were looking for. I'm also interested to see how many people are looking for a home fellowship.
"The weakness of so many modern Christians is that they feel too
much at home in the world. In their effort to achieve restful
adjustment to unregenerate society they have lost their pilgrim
character and become an essential part of the very moral order
against which they are sent to protest. The world recognizes them
and accepts them for what they are. And this is the saddest thing
that can be said about them. They are not lonely, but neither are
they saints." - A.W. Tozer
This weekend, my boys did something that showed their true character as men of God, filled with the Spirit and understanding. Makes a dad proud.
This is the sort of thing that we want for each member of the body / family of Christ - to see growth, maturity, love and obedience. It is at the core of why my family fellowships "house to house" in small groups that desire to fulfill the Scriptures about what it means to meet together to be encouraged to live it out when it matters most.
If you meet this way too, we'd love to visit. If you're curious or considering home fellowship / "organic church" we invite you to join us!
Message me here for more info, or call the number listed elsewhere on this page.
[08/25/16] We're still meeting, and looking for local folks who are interested or curious about home fellowship. If you've been led in this direction or if you've got questions, just call or post and let's talk about it.
Yesterday I tried to post something about how my family has been doing home fellowship for more than 13 years now. That post got all flowery and poetic and deep. Thanks to an Internet hiccup this is the post that made it to Facebook.
I will say that there have been blessings every step of the way. God has brought many families into my life to teach me and help me deepen my walk with Christ. If you live near the Midland area and are looking for a place of real fellowship and real connection we would love to meet you.
[07/03/15] As we celebrate American independence day it's a good time to consider our dependence on God - as individuals and as a nation. Thank you, God for the blessing of freedom and help your people be a light in the days to come.
