Primer Domingo del Adviento

Did you know that each candle on the Advent wreath symbolize four virtues? We begin week 1 of Advent with the pillar of HOPE. We understand that in the midst of a pandemic, when many Christmas traditions and gatherings may be altered, it can sometimes be difficult to find hope. As we light our own candles this week, let its light remind us all of the hope that we have in God as we await his arrival.

[11/25/20]   Elderly Man needs furniture

Sr. Elsa is assisting an elderly poor man to get into Low–Rent housing. He waited several months in a ‘shed-like’ building enduring the last winter cold snap. His name came up and now he has an affordable apartment. He has some items, but he needs a few more.

He needs:

1. A Bed – twin or double – linens and blankets
2. Small kitchen table with at least one chair
3. A dresser of some kind.

If you have these items and want to make an old man happy, contact Sr. Elsa at the parish office ( 432-682-6303 or email [email protected])

Thank you for your generosity.
