LCMS Lutheran Church in Midland, TX GRACE ALONE. FAITH ALONE. GOD'S WORD ALONE. That Pretty Much Sums Things Up for Us. We believe that men, women, and children are rescued from sin by the undeserved mercy of God through His Son Jesus.

Period. We stand on the Word of God that gives us the rule and norm for all belief and in God's Word we are made aware of our sin, and how Jesus has redeemed us from that sin. WE CONFESS THIS... I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. These words found in the Apostles' Creed, along with the Nicene and Athanasian Creeds have served as a summary of what the Christian Church confesses as we gather around the Word of God as we worship the God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. WE are PROUDLY... Lutheran. We are affiliated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS). As Lutherans we accept the Bible as the written Word of God and the Gospel or Good News of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the sins of the world lies at the heart and core of everything we believe, teach, and confess. As a result we believe that man is saved purely by God's grace through faith alone, apart from anything we do to attempt to save ourselves. We believe that God the Father is so loving that He sent His Son Jesus to this earth to live, die, and rise to save us. God still shows us His love today as He works through His Word and also through the mysterious yet tangible gifts of baptism and the Lord's Supper. For more on what we believe as well as our perspective on current issues in our culture please check out lcms.org
