"The house that God built."
[06/10/20] Due to the increase in covid cases in Midland this weekend we will be reinstituting temperature checks at church tonight. Please enter the building on the north side of the gym. We still welcome you out and hope to see you at 7:00 pm!!
Last Friday some of True-Lite and youth helped pass out meals/food from the West Texas Food Bank. We will be doing this again this morning so if you or if you know someone who needs some help send them to South Elementary, 200 W Dakota Ave. Starts at 10:30 until the food is gone, but best to come early. If you'd like to help be there an hour earlier. Please share!
Tune in and share. The stream will start at 11am tomorrow. Discussion will take place after worship during the message time. Also pray for those who will be discussing/answering as well as praying for our nation that needs healing!
Is it far better for the church that you exist and continue to live rather than die and be with Jesus?
Philippians 1: 21-26
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith, so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.
Happy birthday to Mrs Carla Smith!! THE Church, not just True-Lite, is better with you on its side. We are grateful to have you in our lives and thankful you exhaust yourself for the glory of our Lord. We love and appreciate you!!
Graduates please arrive by 10:45a in your cap and gown. We will have an area reserved for you. Thanks
You are the largest miracle you are looking for!!
John 14: 8-14
Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
What is truth?
John 14: 5-7
Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”
Don't grow comfortable in the church!
Revelation 3: 1-6
“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.
“‘I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’

Some do but many don't remember the time before our current sanctuary was built. In the old building church would fill up so quickly that you had to show up early just to get a seat in the building. I remember early on, this was the reason I began coming to Sunday school because if you didn't, then all the "good" seats were taken. It got to the point where you had to come to SS to be able to sit down. The past few weeks our church has been largely empty, partly because of caution, partly fear, partly laziness. True-Lite, the church is open for both SS and worship service. Wake up early and bring your families back to the house of God. We don't mind live streaming these services but if these streams continue to be a crutch for you where you no longer want to worship corporately with your brothers and sisters in Christ; I have no problem in cutting these streams off if they become a hinderance in your walk amongst the brethren. I love y'all and hope to see everyone again soon!!
Starting tomorrow morning, we will begin corporate Sunday School. The lesson will start at 9:30am in the sanctuary. At this time we will continue NOT serving breakfast or have separate classes for the youth or kiddos(no childcare either). Please follow seating directions and social distancing. See you in the AM!!
What kind of company do you keep?
Matthew 12: 33-37
"Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
tonight's live stream
How often do you notice how the crowd is doing spiritually?
Matthew 9: 35-38
And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Why do we not do the things Jesus tells us to do?
Luke 6: 46-49
“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”
A little darkness in your life will demonstrate what kind of light you follow.
Matthew 6: 1-15
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.
“Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites. For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
“And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
