HARVEST FESTIVAL 2019.
He Is Risen! ✝️

Join us during Passion Week!
-Thursday, April 18th, we will gather at 7 pm to focus on
the cross.
- Join us in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ on
Easter Sunday, April 21st, at 10:30 am.

Please come and celebrate with us!
I only post once....not sure why it’s appearing multiple time.
I only post once....not sure why it’s appearing multiple time.
Pastor Long, I and so thankful that you made a public stand for our Lord!!! I learned about the “Ghost” concert back in the spring. I began posting the information on Nextdoor.com and Facebook to inform my friends and neighbors. I was treated horribly. As you can imagine. I was booted off Nextdoor and voluntarily backed off Facebook for a time. I messaged approximately 10 local churches via Facebook. I only got one response and their reply was that they would pray about what they might do. I have to say I was disheartened and deeply frustrated be all of this.
I also contacted WN and got the same canned response that the gave the reporter. Obviously money is the driving force. Community has no real weight. Did you know that WN is own by Texas Tech.?
I was hoping to somehow insure a high level of community awareness as to the true satanic nature of the group so that, if nothing else, kids would not be allowed to attend. Thankfully your efforts got the story in print. I only with there had been advertisement so that more of the community could have participated. I knew nothing about you prayer vigil. We were 8 hours away in Longview for family busy.
I hope your efforts will make a difference! I believe that He uses all things for good and will honor the good works of His people.

James 4:14 Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a v***r that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. (Jas. 4:14 NAU)

It is a very sobering thought that our lives are like a v***r, we are here one day and gone the next.

We live often as though we have all the time in the world and will always be around and yet we know that is not true. Therefore, what you and I do with our time not only matters, but we will all one day give an account before the One who brought us into this world.

We are not accidents nor is it the Universe that brought us into existence but it is the One who created the Universe and who wonderfully and fearfully made us in our mother's womb that gave us life.

When Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came so that we might have life and life in abundance, He is speaking of a full and meaningful life in Him that is for us today and that extends into eternity when our life is over.

Jesus who came to give purpose in life is also the righteous Judge who is coming one day to judge the living and the dead (1 Timothy 4:1). Are we intent on following Jesus who is the Savior and Righteous Judge and walk in His ways and not our own?

When we are faithful in following Jesus, the world will not applaud.

John the Baptist was thrown into prison and eventually beheaded because of His faithfulness. "John had been saying to Herod, 'It is not lawful for you to have your brother's wife.' And Herodias had a grudge against him and wanted to put him to death"(Mark 6:18-19)

If we are looking for the applause of the world instead of the applause of Heaven, we will not stay the course in proclaiming the full Gospel of Jesus, which goes counter to the culture.

When we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit and walk in the plans and purposes that God has for us, there will be opposition. There will be those that hold a grudge and will not like us. There may be family members that reject us or co-workers talking behind our back.

In our society there are too many people that want to be offensive and want to say things that will cause people to take notice. This was not John's motivation. His motivation was to follow God and be faithful in the mission God had called him to. The things he said were not offensive because John was trying to be offensive but because the Spirit of God was saying those things through him.

Is our motivation to minister in and through the love of Christ and to speak the truth in love? If that is our motivation, there will be times of rejection and being opposed, but it will never be without purpose and without the favor of God.

The Holy Spirit will not speak that which is contrary to the written word, for He breathed upon the authors of the 66 books of the Bible to pen what they penned.

Does this mean we will completely understand all of Scripture? No, but the Holy Spirit will give us leading and understanding as we press in to know Christ.

Does this mean we will not have to wrestle with what we are reading and meditating on? No, but the Holy Spirit will give us the means to surrender our will to the Father's will.

The giver of Life uses His word to instruct us in His ways as opposed to our ways, to rebuke and correct us when our ways are contrary to His ways.

He will use His word to train us in the way of His righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ, replacing our feeble attempts to live righteous in our own strength outside of knowing Him.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. (2 Tim. 3:16 ESV)

I went to my church for the first time in a year and got NOTHING out of it...HERE'S WHY!

This is worth the watch concerning going to church and receiving. It is about 10 minutes long.

I went to my church for the first time in a year and got NOTHING out of it...HERE'S WHY! Have you ever struggled to "get something" out of your church experience? Do you go to church but often times leave feeling like, "man, that was a waste of m...

[04/07/21]   Is race and sexuality sacred? Absolutely! Scripture talks that it is God who forms us while we are in the womb and so whether we are black, white, brown is sacred because none of us are mistakes and God looks with favor upon all the different races of humanity because He is the Creator of all.(Revelation 7:9)

Sexuality is also sacred for as God was forming us in our mother's womb, He also created us either male or female. In Genesis 1:27 we read, "so God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."

When we talk of both race and sexuality, I didn't choose either my race or sexuality but praise God for making me who I am. If there is confusion in my mind and heart on either one of these issues, I must wrestle with the confusion I am in. To give into the confusion or have society tell me not to wrestle with it is neither loving or godly. What is loving is to come alongside such a person and reinforce the truth that God loves them and is present to lead and direct them into all the truth.

Truth starts with Jesus and His sacrificial love at the cross for our sins. When humanity is enslaved to sin there will be all kinds of confusions. However, the wisdom of God is Christ crucified, which is a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.(1 Corinthians 1:22-31)

04/06/2021

When we talk about God's love, we must recognize that His love is different and set apart (Holy). Paul, being inspired by the Holy Spirit, writes to Timothy and says, "The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith."

When a Christian says they are walking in God's love but is striking their father or mother, or murdering, or is practicing sexual immorality or practicing homosexuality or kidnapping others or practicing lying or perjuring, they are being deceived because one cannot walk in God's love and live out a doctrine contrary to what is pure, good and sincere.(1 Timothy 1:3-11)

Paul, himself, once belonged to this category by embracing the murder of Stephen and putting Christ followers in prison but by God's grace, he was delivered. You and I can say we were once part of the above category but delivered by God's grace through Christ and his sacrifice at Calvary. However, we cannot say it is okay to continue to practice these things and also say we are walking in God's love. It isn't healthy doctrine.

A healthy doctrine whose aim is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith makes for a healthy life, family and society.

The cross of Jesus Christ is both inclusive and exclusive.

It is inclusive in that Jesus died for the sins of all humanity and not just a few. For God so loved the world.

It is exclusive in that His death brings forgiveness of sins to those who put their trust in Him, who is the Son of God. He and He alone stands as Savior and there is no other name in heaven and earth by which we can be saved.(Acts 4:12)
Jesus as Savior brings forth:
a) Forgiveness of sins
b) eternal Life
c) Adoption into God's family
d) The gift of the Holy Spirit - God now dwells in us to regenerate and renew
e) Being declared Righteous in Christ
f) No longer fearing death and His coming but a looking forward to seeing Him face to face.
