A Message From Our Pastor
Hello New Covenant,
I hope all are doing well and staying healthy in this time. I have been lifting each one of you up in my prayers.
As the national and local situation with the virus has escalated over the past week, we will need to extend our cancellation of services for at least two more weeks, with the hope of resuming on the first weekend of April. This means that all church services are cancelled and all church events are postponed to a later time.
Let’s continue to keep each other lifted up in prayer and be the body of Christ to one another in any way we can. Let’s call to check up on one another and be willing to go to the store to get food for our more elderly members.
Marvin and I are currently working on getting my sermons posted onto the Internet so that members and the general public can watch them from home. Hopefully we will make the first one available this weekend (but don’t hold us to it!).
If there is any way I can pray for you specifically, please let me know. I miss each one of you and can’t wait to see you again. Until then, let’s stay strong in the Lord and trust in His sovereignty over all things!
“for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
2 Timothy 1:7

The Church: A 12 Week Sermon Series
Starting this Sunday!
“The ministry of preaching is open to few; the ministry of prayer-the highest ministry of all human offices-is open to all. Spiritual adolescents say, “I’ll not go tonight, it’s only the prayer meeting.” It may be that Satan has little cause to fear most preaching. Yet past experiences sting him to rally all his infernal army to fight against God’s people praying.”
We just wanted to put this photo up front and to say "Thank You" to Adam Harris and his wife Lesley Harris for the past 8 months of serving our church family. You have blessed us more than you know. You and your little brood of boys brought a breath of fresh air and life into a hurting congregation and gave us hope for the future. God bless you and we wish you the very best. We WILL see you again!
Apologies to Dennis Rogers for stealing his photo. :)
As America celebrates Memorial Day, we pay tribute to those who have given their lives in our nation’s wars.
We are pleased to announce the calling of Michael Koski to be Senior Pastor of New Covenant Baptist Church of Mesquite. Saved in our church as a teenager and later called to ministry by God, Michael has been preparing to do the Lord's work for the last decade. Michael has received a Master of Divinity as well as a Master of Theology.
Michael served as a supply pastor for a brief period at our church during a difficult time. And he was beloved and trusted by our beloved previous pastor, Tom McCann. It is with great confidence in the Lord’s calling and great pleasure in the Lord’s provision that we embark on this journey together with our brother Michael, as he leads our church through the next phase of God’s great plan for our body.
May our Lord Jesus Christ bless you mightily and prosper you, Pastor Michael Koski.
We hope to see you tomorrow! Don't miss this important event in the life of our church.
Don't forget! Tonight is Family Fun Night. Be there at 7 for fun and fellowship.
