When He comes into the room everything changes would be how I would sum up our worship experience last night. It is powerful to experience people arriving 1 hour early to pray for our church family to lay hands on those who have prayer needs and worship. That is what I call likemindedness. We jumped into a river of worship I have not experienced before in Northwest Arkansas. It was like a child totally trusting his father. The father said jump and I will show you new things. God was telling us I will do new things with you, do you trust me? I would confess people where jumping it was fun. Our passage in prayer was Proverbs 3:5&6 Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord and lean or rely not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge and recognize Him and He will make your paths straight and smooth removing obstacles that block your way. Three take away words we prayed for: Trust, Heart, Ways, Acknowledge. I will make the Lord my refuge and my secret place for every part of me. That means the way I think, the way I feel, the way I behave, the way I approach life. I am setting aside my own thinking, which has been trained by the world. In everything big or small I need to seek the Lord by coming to Him in prayer and meditation on His Word. Then He will direct every step I take. He will move heaven and earth to make my way successful. Our core prayer was that God would remove our rose-colored glasses of perceptions and vain imagination towards one another. There is beauty and healing when there is unity. When the enemy wants to throw thoughts of your past rose-colored lenses towards your brothers and sisters remind yourself "This is not That". He wants us to stay in our past of "That" and not see "This" is who God is not "that" our old rose-colored glasses of offense and hurt. Pastor Steve message on being a tree planted by the river reminded us that we are His tree that is planted by a river that bears fruits 24/7 which are: Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, modesty, chastity and goodness for the healing of the nations Rev. 22. This is what it means to be a Son and Daughter of the kingdom. Our fruit should draw people towards us because of its rich and good tasting to there spirit.
Hey Origin Church here is the schedule for the upcoming prayer fast. More details to come!
When "He" comes into a room everything changes! What a beautiful worship service last night. Have you attended a church where they gather before church starts to pray, be prayed for and lay at his feet and soak and it was only pre-church service? He is in our room folks! I thought we had been joined by angels because the room was full of worshippers. One of our youth would pray this audacious prayer to ignite our hearts. Pastor Steve taught on faith and substance:2 Corinthians 4:18 (NET)because we are not looking at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen. For what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal. We were challenged to begin to live a life of the unseen. My lasting impression last night was after service ended it didn't end. There was no rush to leave and go home people fellowshipped and love on one another. He is in the room and it's beautiful!
Thank you, Pastor Steve, for a heart of prayer, worship, and word. Experiencing the habitation of Gods presence during 5 pm prayer yesterday was powerful. It felt like I was riding a wave upon a wave of Gods glory. It's beautiful experiencing God with family. He's starting prayer fires throughout the different surrounding cities. Your message you spoke on living as Sonship/Daugthership of God and what that looks like to everyone we encounter definitely was a word for me. There is a hunger for God! If you're not hungry for God your dying.

Greets From Up North!

[11/28/20]   Hey Origin family! Still in South Dakota with Darci Johnson and the Stewart clan. I hope you are all well! Tonight would normally be a get-together with food and fellowship of some sort, but we will not tonight. I have a short video to share with you when I can get it uploaded. The internet here is not conducive to live-streaming or upload, so I pray for the best. Will have that posted in an hour or two. We look forward to being back in the saddle next weekend! Peace and blessings! -SJ

[11/22/20]   The body of Christ IS a body and acts like a body. Consider hitting your finger with a hammer. This is at the top of anyone's list of things least enjoyable. The finger is screaming. It thinks it is dead. The rest of the body tenses up - maybe dances around. The tongue says bad things. But in the brain, there are signals constantly reassuring the rest of the body that this is not fatal. The toes are relaxed - oblivious. The knees could care less, really. It is the finger that is in duress. Such is every body. When troublesome times hit, do not expect everyone to react as you do, or perhaps even to seem concerned. We can discern the body in this way and appreciate each other in the various ways we respond to adversity. No matter what happens, we can honor others for the various ways in which they navigate. Honor, respect, discernment, understanding, love... this will bring us through any event more unified than ever!

Embrace the Question

Proverbs 23: 4 Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
5 Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.

This from the man who had it all. Let this take some of the pressure off. In modern lingo, "It aint all that."

Our Saturday night service on November 7th will be held at Mitch & Zem Hawley’s backyard around the fire pit at 6:30 PM. [10/31/20]   As He is, so are we in the earth.

Jesus told His disciples, "You are the light of the world." "You are the salt of the earth."

Do you believe it? He is in you 'as you'. He is representing Himself on the earth in and through you. Your light drives away darkness. Your salt heals. Believe it - His plan wont fail.

Sometimes we look at ourselves and think, "Lord, if I was your plan, you really needed another one." Nope. He knew exactly what He was doing when He chose you as His dwelling place.

Please join us for our FALL PICNIC this Saturday night at 6:30 PM, OCTOBER 31st at ORIGIN CHURCH in Lowell. 🌻🌻

[10/26/20]   One of the signers of my ordination certificate, Andrew Wommack, raised his own son from the dead. He and his wife had been away and got a call that their son was dead. I'm forgetting the cause, but his response was pretty epic. He and his wife went into a pro-life, full-on fight against the spirit of death that was trying to permeate their very existence. It was a fight against grief and the finality that sets in with it. When they arrived back home, their son had been taken to the morgue. He had been dead for four hours and was naked with a sheet over him. He was laid out on a slab and the toe-tag was already attached. They began to declare life over him and he sat up and began talking. To hear Andrew recount the story is chill-city. Their son is now a part of their ministry team. Remember, death is a shadow. It appears to have a substance, but it is temporal. Perhaps the full realization of this truth is reserved for the Sons. Going for it! (Scroll down and you may still be able to catch his session from Voice of the Apostles where we heard him testify of this.)

[10/26/20]   Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

RIGHTEOUSNESSES - not righteousness! The ESV actually does a better job with the translation: "righteous deeds". The problem has always been that we lean into our 'good deeds' for our righteous. That's how the tree of good and evil gets us... the good is as futile as the evil when it comes to righteousness. But Jesus said,

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

This is the key - to recognize HIS righteousness as mine.

Isaiah 45:24
24 Surely, shall one say, in the Lord have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

The minute we forget how much the Father loves us, we make ourselves vulnerable to the wrong voices. Voices of fear. False prophets. THIS is what happened to the church at Ephesus that we read about in Revelation 2. Make HIM the center of your awareness.

Global Awakening

Intercession is cooperating with the Holy Spirit in prayer. The Holy Spirit is the best intercessor! The most effective way to intercede for others is to allow the Spirit to speak through us and to partner with it in our prayers.

We allow our mouths to be open so that the Holy Spirit can pray through us. This frees us up to carry others’ burdens without the burdens taking ownership of us. The Holy Spirit carries the burdens and wants to release our mouths to declare and pray His goodness into the world.

Embrace the Question

This awesome drawing by Abe Goulsby shows us something about the camp of Israel that many have been made aware of: the shape. As you can see, the cross is depicted. As a young bible student, I knew that the instructions for encampment were odd, to say the least. And until you actually sketch it out with the correct proportions of people in each tribe, it remains nonsensical. Get this! Each tent faces the tabernacle! So what? This is perhaps one of the worst strategic ideas in the bible (not the worst, but close...)! The entire design has everyone focused inward - towards the Presence - instead of outward toward enemies! Could there possibly be a lesson here, friends?

Isa 58:8
Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.

Blessings today!
