Marriage for a Christian, just like all other moral considerations, is a very different thing than it is for other citizens of this or any nation. The laws of marriage of any earthly government and the laws of God for Christians are two very different things, though in no way are they in conflict. For example, the law of God regarding alcohol and drunkenness is very different from the law of the government of our land, but our government in no way makes us take a drink against our will. In the same way, though the law of our land allows divorce and remarriage for any cause, the law of God for Christians does not, but the much more permissive law of divorce and remarriage in our nation does not make us disobey God and commit adultery. The law of the land in this and all other cases does not keep us from following the will of God. The laws of our land allow adultery, fornication, drunkenness, gambling, abortion, pornography, greed, gluttony, homosexuality, and other private sins of our American neighbors that do not harm the peace and order of our neighborhoods. Those laws of the land, however, do not infringe on our rights to obey the will of God. We can never expect the two different systems of laws to be the same. They each serve very different purposes. The laws of the lands in which we live are only meant by God to keep earthly law and order, Romans 13:1-5. The spiritual laws of God only meant for Christians, on the the other hand, are our spiritual guide to eternal life with God and can never be kept by any earthly government. I believe those of our brethren that have become part of a worldly religious holy crusade to combine these two systems of laws these last several decades have caused much confusion, division, and harm to the good name of the Lord's Church in our nation. That today can clearly be seen in the indecent, chronic liar they have elected to the White House in the false belief he is the chosen instrument of God to "return our nation to God" by making our nation white and Protestant again in direct rebellion against our nation's 241 year old secular constitutional democracy.
Dear Saints, The People Of Haiti Are So Poor, They Eat Mud Cookies To Survive. Be a part of the solution by donating to the "Compassion Haitian Leaders" operated by members of the Churches of Christ. While you're wasting that burger you just bought because the beef in it isn't juicy enough, people are dying of hunger in other parts of the world. The pictures will present to you some heartbreaking slums of Haiti, that will (maybe) stop you from wasting food ever again in your life. Because these Haitians cannot afford to buy food, or grow it, they eat mud cookies to stay alive. Yes, you heard that right! They mix mud with salt and vegetable oil and make cookies out of it. Pregnant women eat these mud cakes to provide their bodies with enough calcium. Even though, it is a terrible substitute to food, they have been surviving for years on just dirt. An 11-year-old boy shows his tongue after eating his ‘dirt' meal. We don't mean to sensationalize the lives of Haitians. We're just trying to sensitize people towards the shortage of food in the world. So, the next time you waste food, remind yourselves of these people! Give it to people who need it more than you. Donations are welcomed; the CashApp; $servantgroup or Paypal; [email protected] or Compassion Haitian Leaders, POB 691335, Charlotte, NC 28227 Donation are tax deductible.
