An awesome turnout to help a parishioner move today and yesterday. How appropriate that the "beast" made the photo. Missing from photo are Karen Connors, Kathie Hudes, Kathleen Zolbe, Marion Wolf, Terry Henzey, Gary Szabo.

Loudoun County Sheriff's Office

Today, members of the LCSO participated in the 8th Annual Knights of Columbus Holy Family Council #6831 United in Charity Golf Tournament at River Creek Golf Club.

The event was organized by the Knights of Columbus in support of Project Lifesaver.

The Project Lifesaver program is an electronic based tracking system for people with medical conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Autism, or other conditions, that have a tendency to wander from home and become lost. The program allows Loudoun Deputies certified as Electronic Search Specialists to fit clients with a wristband transmitter that emits an automatic tracking signal. If the client becomes lost, the specially trained deputies will use a mobile antenna and hand-held directional device to help locate the client. Since the program began in 1999, Project Lifesaver agencies have rescued over 3,272 cognitively challenged individuals successfully with no serious injuries or deaths reported.

LCSO would like to extend a huge at #thankyou to the Knights of Columbus, sponsors, volunteers and participants who helped raise over $8,000 to support the project! Way to go!

Congratulations to our newest first degree members Jose Moreyra, Andres Moreyra, Pablo Cisneros, and William Sueldo Ochoa.

Congratulations to Gary Gluckert on taking his final step to full Knighthood today.

We'll be welcoming in new members on March 26 with a Membership Degree ceremony in Spanish! Many thanks to our Brothers in Northern Virginia who run the Spanish Degree Team and who recruited at St. John's Spanish Mass today! Thanks Leo Duran and Jesus Cora for taking the time to greet our fellow Parishioners (and hopefully future Brother Knights!), and thanks to our worthy Deputy Grand Knight John-Paul and Brother Ivan, for helping out!

Holy Family Council continued one of its newer traditions, in the freezing rain, to honor our deceased Veterans and Brother Knights with Christmas wreaths.

It was great to see so much generosity from the local Community (joined by Holy Family Council) help Mobile Hope of Loudoun bring a little Christmas joy to a lot of kids in Leesburg!

Worthy Sir Knights from all over Northern Virginia (including some many of our own Holy Family Council Brothers) led the 2016 Leesburg Christmas Parade--bearing the Colors! A bit chilly, but a great time! It was awesome to see some may Leesburg residents braving the cold to kick off the Christmas season with a great celebration!

Many thanks to all the Council and Ladies Auxiliary volunteers, and to Santa and Mrs. Claus, of course, for a great Breakfast with Santa this year!
